I'm just finishing up getting the platinum trophy in Sonic Unleashed on the PS3, but I can't wait to see this project being completed, it's so ambitious, it's simply incredible to see this game running and still with the stage layout of the PS3 version on the 3DS , you did some of the most impressive work I've ever seen on the 3DS.

I'm starting to believe Unleashed's breathtaking graphics are a result of it's art direction and not the Hedgehog Engine. The Hedgehog Engine only enhances the visuals.
It was the hedgehog engine. It's basically what allowed them to do it's beautiful lighting. It's what provided them the ability to use the baked global illumination system they had developed, something pretty much no games were doing in 2008
The physics and animations are looking better and better but while the lighting is spot on with the console version, I'm concerned that some of the shaded areas are far too dark especially for a 3DS game. In some instances ½ of Sonic's model and the leaves on some trees were completely blackened in a way that doesn't seem intentional. I think if the environmental shadows were brightened by about 20% and Sonic by 30% it would still maintain the overall look of Windmill Isle Act 1 without causing visibility issues when played on original hardware. Excellent work overall, and I can't wait to see more!

Maybe this would even help in some small way with performance, even adding a performance mode to the game.(if it doesn't make it too heavy, just disable things like shadows or less defined models and if possible less popping taking advantage of the improvement)
Ended up with the somewhat-disappointing PS2 port as a kid. If the 3DS and this port came out back in the day, I'd be jealous af of 3DS owners, lol. This's really good.

The only thing I'd love to see is baked shadows for the terrain as it tends to all look overly bright. Not sure how much memory the 3DS has left as it only has 256mb of RAM. Could you even add in a light level of Unleashed's baked Global Illumination system too or is that too much? This also makes me wish there was a Sonic game for the PS Vita besides Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed. A cut down version of Generations would have been great

Why did I delete unity 3ds, why did I delete unity 3ds, WHY DID I DELETE UNITY 3DS!? Like genuinley I had it and wanted to make things with it, then I accidently deleted it, or wiped my pc or something. And now every time I have tried to get it to work since, it is throwing some stupid Java system parameter variables error. I have tried on 3 SEPERATE MACHINES, GOTTEN ERRORS EVERY TIME, AND NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO FIX IT!
