You popped up in my YT feed, i love that you use your grandads hand drill. Interesting craft, love the nostalgia it brings up. Thankyou and ive subbed.
Considering some of mine come from Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire, I'll say "Save some for me!" But I am always happy to help spread the parasol collecting joy.
That is just about the coolest thing I have ever seen! Just amazing. (and if you ever need a bit of crochet support - reach out. I have figured out how to turn around my zoom screen and now you can actually see how things are done). Now I want to make a beaded parasol. And Victorian isn't even my period!
I found a magic button to help with the music so I was really happy with how it worked - hopefully I can remember where it was for the next one! Thank you.
I made the mistake of crocheting a whole parasol, and buying a parasol kit... only to discover that the crochet pattern had eight sections, and the parasol was built for ten. Now I need to figure out how to make my own body for this gigantic lace thing I made since I cannot find a good eight section frame.
If you want to learn how to crochet, go to your local yarn store and see if they offer classes. If you lived in central TX, I would offer to reach you as I am an experienced knitting and crochet teacher (and former yarn store owner). I also taught basic tatting...
Thank you for the offer! I live in Florida, myself. Since filming those sections I've actually learned basic single crochet - and flirted with bead crochet. I actually taught myself tatting about five or six years ago, and I have a video planned that goes into the differences between nineteenth century tatting techniques and current day ones.
you had me at irredeemable project squirrel
This series needs a T-Shirt.... "Mock-ups are important, Y'All!" Brandon, bravo on another video :)
Maybe one day when I've reached a point when people would want merch... ;)

Thankyou for this video, very informative and lovely to watch.
Absolutely incredible!
8:48 YEEEEEES!!! Loved that noise
I am really enjoying your videos. I am saddened to see that you have not uploaded anything new in the past couple years.
I am totally going to buy up every parasol I find in New England now.

OMG that beaded cover!! 😍😍😍
I absolutely love it. Thank you for making the music less loud. I really need a parasol (which one day I would have).

Fantastic! Thank you :)
Great video as always! I'm so curious to see the design!
I've been working on it on and off but it's still rumbling around in my brain! In a few videos it should see light.
OMG..Love
Starts about 5.10 Mark for impatient souls like myself, hope that helps someone :)

How do i cut the cloth if i were to make a 16 sided or 24 sided prabolic shape umbrella?
How long are it?
I prefer the sound of the drill to the rasp.
I wanted to put a title at some point that said "this video brought to you by pretty sounds." but I just had a brain lapse.
I have a hand powered ratcheting drill..no sound at all..unless I drill my finger
