- Hi guys, we visited one of the busiest Kara Niccha’s ever and it is situated in the province’s capital city of Pietermaritzburg. The special sandwich lives up to its name in being special and the menu has more to offer in terms of snack options.
We got only a few snack options, but we try all the curries. Hope you enjoy with us.

The Kara Nicha family are really decent human beings. They really for the poor. That is why they are so succesful. I fondly remember Henry in the Raisethorpe shop.
He freely provided the destitute with food.
Hello beautiful people. I used to live in Midrand, the Kara nichas was such a blessing, I used to buy for for supper and I was studying at the time, I certainly owe them for all my distinctions.
Thanks for sharing!!🫶
I have eaten from a few Kara Nichas in JHB, DBN and PMB. Being vegetarian it is great choice. The quality seems better in PMB then others. Tip: if you are not eating the special sandwich and chillie bites immediately, heat in the airfryer. Keeps the crunch.

Yo, I'm getting hungry watching the video. ❤❤
I remember going there in the 60's with my Dad. We used to sit in the shop and order tea and chillibites . Looking at it now, how it has changed.
I lived in PMB but moved away. NO TABLES ☹
Wow, wonderful memories you have. Thank you for sharing 🫶
Thank you for the awesome content ❤
Very few today know the true authentic Kara Nicha's Food. I'm to the late 50's, and early 60's, food sweetmeats know where like then!! PMB my hometown.

Hi from the UK, originally from Joburg, we love the red gulab jamun from #KaraNicha which you didn’t try in this vlog. Perhaps the next time…it is the best of their sweet meats and only they make them.
Thanks for the tips and thank you for watching 🫶

Don't drop your original standard s... People of that Town are still talking about the taste of PMB's Historic Kara Niccha's

Hi family I'm an x DBN girl, because we are all indians I consider us family😂yah so we got Kara nicchas here in jhb, in lenasia , the sandwich here is called baby specials, that was my late husbands favourite and puri pathas ❤
Thank you for sharing and sorry for your loss. I hope that our subscribers from Gauteng and surrounding areas see your comment. ❤️🙏
I was born and brought up in Umzinto on the KZN South Coast and moved to Cape Town 24 years ago. Nothing like these foods here foods here. Especially the mixed veg curry, you cannot get those vegetables here. I have found a Bangladeshi restaurant called Moksch and they make good curries but it's not Durban curry.
Interesting! Hope you get to visit Durban ❤️
Nothing like Durban tastes, it's the best 😋
@@ordinarysouthafrican did visit last and had some good fishing fun but wasn't impressed with what has happened to my town. Once a peaceful clean town managed by Indians in the Apartheid era. Today a crime ridden filthy town. I was told not to walk anywhere alone as I used to do when I lived there. Beautiful province with the best weather but going downhill.
We need one in Pretoria North 😭
Verulam branch they don't use cheese....
Then it’s not a special sandwich. Demand your money back 😂🫶
He's funnylol
