Hmm.. I must admit Joscho's playing matured well, years back I felt it was only technique driving him but this is something different... and it's great!
Have you heard his rendition of Hey Joe? He really likes to play fast but seems to have learned when to lean back and play with interesting phrasing instead.
I agree..I believe in synergy.. So,i think that it matters a great deal who is playing with him.. More specifically.. Who is the real origin of the rhythm- and how much importance their energy puts upon subtlety and nuance.. using their talent, facial expression, and rhythmic diversity to guide him away from showboating and pure technique and share the feeling and soul that metronomes can never offer.
I recently had surgery on my wrist and lost movement in my first two fingers on my left hand (right handed) and have been trying to get my guitar back in my hands. Slowly, but surely, I will get back to where I was and then further. Been watching stuff like this in the meantime and MAN does it put a smile on my face. Such technicality with all that feel. Loving it guys, you're pushing me to better myself and I thank you. Also, Stevie Wonder is such a national treasure. What a great song from a great artist done by great musicians. Thanks guys
Don't know HOW this Golden nugget has been hiding from me for years... as ALWAYS Adam (AR-15), - rapid-fire awesomeness 🤟😃🤟! & Joscho is ON 🔥!! - y'all compliment each other PERFECTLY for this song!!!
playing a single string solo in a duet with joscho stephan seems to be an extremly difficult endevour if you want to shine. i'd say 'successfully passed'. joscho restraining himself a bit in his own solo makes the overall impression of the performance nice & balanced.
Pretty. Glad they kept it relatively melody driven instead of flash. Joscho’s little thing around 2:35 was a cool move I’ve never heard before. Gotta learn that
Love the different tone of each guitar and the different styles. Nicely collaborative rather than competitive, complimenting each other beautifully. Very satisfying indeed.
So beautiful. I like how Joscho matches his solo to Adam's melodic tender solo, very different than his other famous live version of this classic (not as chromatic and aggressive).

Have no idea who these guys are but that was really nice! Nothing like an acoustic style picking/solo. Very clean and sorta down to earth sounding. (whatever that means Lol!) Electric guitar 🎸 has many personalities and sounds but just can’t beat an acoustic. Especially when played like this! Not only incredible sounding and playing but also short and super sweet. 🌴😎🌈Aloha
I love the shift in energy between the two solos, both of them equally impressive but the way he picks it up in the 2nd solo is a cool part to this arrangement
I gotta say, I really like Rafferty's style here. Joscho is of course insane, and incredibly talented. But in general, I think I prefer the more recognizable and digestable melody that Rafferty provides. For me, it's the perfect balance between the expected and the unexpected That said, the more I listen to Joscho, the more familiar I become and the more I find myself enjoying his unique style.
I've been know to put it this way; when someone talks very fast all the time without a breath do you listen as intently as you would to someone who speaks slowly and clearly in simple sentences?
You can use very complex vocabulary fast, but you also need to breath sometimes and let people digest what you just said, it’s a balance. I think they both have it.
2:35 WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT????? Didn't know Josho till now. Have to need a closer look at him. love adam for years and this combination is absolute great!!! loved it!
The expressions Joscho makes as he plays duets, etc is refreshing.. Like he’s in a school yard hanging with his good buddies, and just glad to be as asset to their musical expressions.
Hmm.. I must admit Joscho's playing matured well, years back I felt it was only technique driving him but this is something different... and it's great!
Filip Fiebiger yes i totally agree with you.. the phrasing is very controlled now and just feel right on the place👌🏼
My thoughts exactly. Much more easyness and coolness in his playing.

2:34...fly away!!!!

Hey man, may I ask what kind of surgery? What happened? Did you lose movement in your fingers as a result of the surgery or..?
I had a slice on the wrist and bicep from a knife attack, had to have my tendons reattached... nasty business
i love that lick starting at 2:35
It's so satisfying. Why? Just divine.
Props to Joscho, he can Solo like it’s judgement day, but did u notice his remarkable skills in accompainement👌
Oh man, that voicing Adam plays on 2:40, combined with that soulful lick from Josho, gets me every time
Woooww so nice
Isn't it lovely?
Damn... it sure is!
oh yes, it is :-)
No...it souns like sweet child o mine by slayer...
I just called to say, it is.
This is so satisfying. You can feel the enjoyment of both players shining through.
Don't know HOW this Golden nugget has been hiding from me for years... as ALWAYS Adam (AR-15), - rapid-fire awesomeness 🤟😃🤟! & Joscho is ON 🔥!! - y'all compliment each other PERFECTLY for this song!!!
i am absolutely blown away at this arrangement

Friendship through music is the sweetest love there is, which is why it sounds so beautiful:)
Beautiful arrangement with lovely musicality......

2:02 sweet lick ❤️
When Joscho starts to solo, it feels the authentic color of the Manouche style even before Django Reinhardt was born
Love their chemistry, the part where he's soloing with chords is awesome 😎
Wow, my favorite teacher with Joscho, nice
So beautiful. I like how Joscho matches his solo to Adam's melodic tender solo, very different than his other famous live version of this classic (not as chromatic and aggressive).
thanks, Eyal!

One of the most beautiful songs ever written and you guys completely did it justice. Absolutely love this.
Joscho's playing is much more musical than other manouche guys, good for him that he uses gypsy picking as well as usual alternative picking.

Very nice acoustic duet! You guys have some great ideas soulful fun Stevie should dig it! Thumbs up 👆
I like the way Joscho slaps the strings on beats 2 and 4.

Fantastic playing.
Hermosa versión! Gracias!!!
This is fun! I don't see Joscho finger pick often and don't see Adam flat pick often. Nice little curve ball. I could listen to these guys for days.
Bravo
Beautiful solo.
Hi from Guarulhos, Brazil! It's simply amazing! Awesome!
Joscho Stephan очень разнообразный и разносторонний гитарист.
good sharing of the light ...
and brighter for having them both turning the handle
Goosebumps cause this is beautiful ❤️❤️
True and pure musicality, awesome 👏
Adam's note selection is really sweet. No unnecessary notes.
Wasn’t the lovely
Making that song as lovely as this!
My eyes got really big when the second guitarist started to play. I'm intrigued. I like this. Yes!
You mean when he started to play lead. But he is impressive either way.
@@yahyakhoyaalrisitas4478 I know he was playing lead. Thanks anyway 😁
Joscho Stephan. An absolute monster player and educator. Wonderful role model, grazi Stephan!
Superb! Love it! Also, camera angle and distance is perfect. Big thanks!!
Cannot stop my head from bobbing! This is therapy.
jascho rules 💞super technic and feeling🎸🎶
I think the way each of them is wearing the shirt sums up the style of soloing...(both of course playing wonderful)

My guess was that he was sweeping/arpeggiating the same note on two different strings
Yeah i was thinking same thing too. That rhythm was so cool
Paul Hartmann How did you manage to overlook Josho? 😁
❤❤❤спасибо🙏💕🙏💕🙏💕 привет из Улан-Удэ Сибири
