I own a Daystate redwolf .22 HP and it took me 2 years of messing with it, testing when I had the time, and a hand full of things that needed to be addressed to finally love the gun. Heli board, resizing my slugs to 5.50, pellets to 5.53. This gun is a laser with the right slugs and it shoots slugs better than pellets. My golden ticket is the Griffin 26 grain dish base anywhere from 860 to 940fps, Absolute laser. But one category that I think is as important as anything is wieldability. I have a very hard time shouldering the wolf with a bipod and sidewinder and silencer. I can outshoot it from the shoulder with my springers. I hate having something so universal, as in being a do it all gun now with the 12-power setting that you can tune to your own power levels, relegated to the bench. It's my biggest gripe with it, and it's something I need to work on. It's just heavy with all the doodads, plus a 580 bottle doesn't help. It took a lot of testing, but I can shoot just about anything well at the right speeds, and the heliboard is the only way this gun makes any sense to purchase. The 3 power levels sound appealing but it's unbelievably limiting. The HP on low, stock, because the newer HP's use the safari program, 65ft lbs, it shot the 18 grainers at 1040fps, so you can just about forget anything lighter, and it works well on a flat calm day but any wind and that speed plays havoc on your accuracy when it comes to pellets, it's the nature of the beast. I'm a very big fan of transition to slugs and this wolf loves the NSA 17.5 slugs, and the knockouts, HNs, I mean I have all the FPE categories covered with superior BC and accuracy. I have a much different opinion about this gun than I did when I was trying to shoot pellets, stock. It's a hell of a shooter and I think the way it's chambered and the poly ART barrel, is exactly what makes it such a great slug gun. Look at the profile and you will see it looks exactly like the smooth twist slug liners accept it's a Lothar Walther masterpiece. I'm not going to wright a novel, but if anyone is interested in the issues I had that I was able to rectify myself I will gladly reply. I also wanted to add that there isn't a ton of information or videos about this gun and slug shooting. You need to resize you slugs for uniformity and to match what you gun wants. It's becoming more common knowledge and Matt Dubber is a great resource for this information as well but it's a fact that 1 thousandth can make all the difference when it comes to slugs, and I can personally confirm this as well as the Friend I shoot with, also a poly barrel, non ART version, that it makes all the difference. It won't make all slugs work but the ones that do it's the final touch, and then the fliers disappear, and the groups are what you paid for in the first place. Don't give up, because I was so close to using this gun as a bat a few times.

Thanks for all the information. Also thanks for watching. My red hps have been the most accurate guns i have ever owned. I mean out of the box with JSB knockouts I am getting MOA which is pretty darn good for just putting in the slug and shooting on med to high power.

@@ShootingTargets727 No reason to argue with that at all. I shoot them very well at 840fps. My data shows the stock board shot them at 910fps on medium, but again, I had the safari program stock so not sure if you do too. I would highly recommend giving the griffins a try, sub moa is nothing to shake a stick at and no reason to change, but if for nothing else they do offer a better BC, .089 in the 26-grain dish base. I'm not trying to sell anything and I have no affiliation with anything either, I just haven't found anything that shoots better than them and my friends Brocock seems to say the same thing. Thanks for the video and I haven't owned an FX gun, but there is an awful compelling list of reasons to.

Accurate assessment of these guns. I begged Daystate for information on the Delta Wolf. They blamed Covid. I told them I understood the problems with production, but why no information, which could easily be provided from home under Covid restrictions, any where in the world? I am 5'6", I weigh 125#, for me FX all the way. They are MUCH more responsive to their customers, provide much more information in their Masterclass series than Daystate does, there are way more aftermarket parts, and are more tune-able by the average user. Most of us know how to adjust mechanical guns. How many can address firmware/programming issues, of which there were plenty in the initial batch of Delta Wolves, and yes I owned one in .30. Another issue usually skipped over on the Daystates, is battery life and waterproofing, and the obvious hassles of charging. The Delta Wolf has WAY less battery life than the Redwolf. There is no comparison between the two. After 2 attempts to repair my Delta Wolf, it went back for credit only. Jared Clark was the only person at the dealer handling the Delta Wolf, and in the many times I called him, I never was able to talk to him or get him to help me with my issues. He was clearly untrained and overwhelmed. The dealer was great, the product is not. In the case of the Redwolf, if you opt for the Heliboard which adds the flexibility that Daystate chose not to, you void your warranty. If/when Daystate changes its way of doing business, I may try another, but at this point, I would not.

It is bizarre with all the electronics in the Delta and now Alpha Wolf - no Bluetooth phone app support - WTF! If The Alpha is the most advanced, then why no App Support?
    - I own an Alpha Wolf Safari, an FX Impact M3, and an FX Panthera Compact... As a left-handed shooter, I purposely chose the DayState Alpha and FX Panthera; both are entirely (almost for FX) Ambi.
A downside to Daystate is that they charge $140.00 for a programming cable - what a slap in the face after spending $3500.00.
An upside to Daystate is a 5-year warranty vs. 3 for an FX.

I owned 2 Delta Wolf .30 cal. The first one was poor in the power but did his job, the second had a leaking battery and after 3 months was broken...! Try here to read these experience before buying.
    - Daystate had a changing of dealership in the Netherlands (where i live), and they hadden enough time to repair my gun (maybe because i didn’t buy it from them).
    - After more than 3 months, decided to write to Daystate to explain the all situation and a poor warranty that the new dealer offers in this case. Rachel Flint (Director of Daystate) wrote me back that she was getting information from the dealer.
    - The dealer never answer my phone calls and Rachel didn't give a consisted warranty and that i was looked after by them.
    - The ex Dealer where i bought my gun, couldn’t help me direct with this repair (they can't get the parts from England) BUT they give a another Delta Wolf. This new rifle was also defect and not consistent this the regulated air. 2 of 3 guns with issues: NICE QUALITY CONTROL AS THE WARRANTY...!
This video give more clarity about another option in place of Daystate, THANK!! and I wish you the best with your channel.

I told the guy from the beginning that i wanted it for hunting and that i would be using slugs and he said i "should be" fine, but i wasn't fine because he lied😂 So after speaking to someone else at their store, i was told that i would have to spend another $400 for a different barrel on top of the $2375 that i spent on the gun if i wanted to shoot slugs😡 Man that really heated me up because i was thinking that these FX guns were the bee's knees like all those people hyped them up to be, but i was wrong and should've gone with my first intuition that was telling me that it was all hype. So i then purchased an AEA Challenger Pro for $800 and this thing is a beast! It's super accurate and powerful, I'm getting quarter sized groups at 100 yards shooting 65gn NSA slugs, and it shoots pellets and slugs very well. I see that those FX guns are made to shoot at slower speeds at paper at those paper shooting game's😞 It's like golf how they charge $300 to $1000 for a golf club just for the sake of the "high profile" sport just to mentally say that club is better because it costs more, when you can buy a golf club for $40 dollars and get the same results if not better😂 I haven't owned a Dastate so i can't say that they can't shoot slugs, but i can say that my AEA is better than my FX👍

@@catherineharris4746 ahh yea, I went through the same thing to a certain extent. One of the reasons for this channel it so displel or at least clear up confusion. I get your confusion. The fx guns stock shoot the hybrid slugs pretty good. But, they are much lighter than say SLUGS for real slug guns that the older guns shoot. The old day slugs guns would shoot slugs at 40 grain plus but needed tons of air and power. This has come down some, but a true slug gun gets way less shots but has much more power. Again that is why you see alot of marketing towards brand and much confusion. Hopefully I can address some of this in future videos. As far as the daystate in stock form it is NOT a slug gun but shoots light slugs very well. My .177 shot .8 inch groups at 115 yards of course no wind but only generating 20 FPE . FX where is your onboard chrono? I love digital repeatability vs how many screw turns - it’s awesome and it’s the future.
