Exploring Mech Trenches | The Forever Winter

Going solo into the trenches for the server quest, end up finding the mech sabotage location and a ton of really cool rooms for this in-progress map. Can't wait until FDS puts some serious threat here for us to deal with!

My favorite map honestly. I always play solo (couse no frens) and this map is perfect for any solo run: not too big of a map, 1 loot room and medbay has a lot of water, quests are easy and a lot of corners if you wanna slay ppl. I had houndreds of kills with that rig on with bagman and the right weapons (somthing like a nade launcher for mechs, a heavy hitter with good ammo economy like the akm or like a ntw or anti tank rifle), you can honelstly farm so much xp so fast with either loot or kills... Usually it's just Europans and some Eurasian cyborgs dropping in sometimes. Always spawn in elevator and NEVER go to the left extract, that place is a death sentence.
Also for the mech room there is a faster way in: from where you spawned go in the main corridor of the map (where you found the first patrol) and in the little "pocket" of space on the right where you hid from the patrol climb up and there are a few hidden passages.
Beware, sometimes the handar doors are open and the medium europan mech is active.

Btw usually there is an exo and a squad in the hangar protecting the medium mech

The grenade launchers feel like the soldiers only hear the bomb go off, its kinda funny to me that they know something is wrong but don't know from where

Dude's got 1200 of one kind of ammo and worried about running out taking a squad of 3 (and FIFTY 40mm rounds) xD
And yeah, you got lucky that there WASNT a full squad in the mech bay, and maybe something else.

There are added patrols when you do the mech missions in that hangar (one is to deliver repair parts, the other is to set it on fire). The last time I went in there to deliver the parts there was an exo, a few squads and a few drones. If you are willing to spend some time in there you can do the server hack, mech destroy (or repair) and patient unplug mission in one go.

In the mech room usualy is exo roaming and sometimes even small infantry squad. In some cases medium mech may also spawn and roam hangar area. It's very rare for this room to be empty of Europeans

I started doing mech trenches just for the 2min water run. Started to venture around more and holy. First time i did 2 europan mediums were goin ham against some ruskia forces

I get it tho. My rig is not capable of running it smoothly (25 fps on low on Scorched whe shit hits the fan) but I still Hella enjoy it :D
