Outside Bali, especially in java and sumatra there are many toxic fanatic islam people. They won't really bother you in real life since you're a foreigner. And I think you pretty safe in Bali with other foreigner ❤ Netizen in Indonesia are toxic 🙃 maybe because of poverty and many just go through school until year 9 or 12. Their toxicity more prominent in social media than in real life. We are polite in real life, but it's just a mask. Don't let our politeness fool you 🙃 many of us are quite a judgemental people. And many people here still have huge ego. But I think it's less worse with Balinese people. I think they are quite peaceful and tolerant. Chili and sambal in indonesia are very spicy! Oh! And many indonesian can speak english. or understand english. So no need to really worry about can't speak indonesian And.. bali island is.. guarded by a women diety.. I forget her name. Honestly, I was in Jakarta for a music fest and being a pillion on those short motorbike rides was actually fun 😂😂😂 but then I got sick when I came home to Singapore. The downside is I should’ve had the flu shot before travelling 😂 NEVER go to the airport on a long motorbike ride. My legs went numb😂😂 but it was affordable

For the first 6 months you will be learning soooo many cultural things that are so different than America. Bardering feels so wrong and awkward but it’s going to be a skill you would benefit from. But no rush you’ll come across that road when you’re ready but keep it in the back of your mind!
