To the left, where the payphone is, you have the "Way back home" billboard, which is basically what the payphone grants you. To the right, where the truck and Frank are, you have the "JOIN US" billboard, which is implying that you'll, as SMii7Y puts it, become part of the madness. This subtle detail really makes for a great finish.
That’s exactly what I was going to say. Within the ambience there are a bunch of signs throughout the video (the most obvious being at the very end). I thought it was a nice touch, unfortunately it seemed like Smii7y missed them, but that’s understandable when you have cars barreling towards you.

This one put me on edge the most with the ice cream truck just playing "Daisy, Daisy" on repeat. Add that to the lore dropped about the character going through hell because of Frank and his twisted threat to keep his child safe when the child caught the same disease that killed Frank's wife got me hooked. I have another scary game I think you should try, about cars! *Pacific Drive* But this one is about surviving in a car while driving through a radioactive paranormal Pacific peninsula, collecting scrap along the way and upgrading your car, Mad Max style. It’s not as focused on horror as this game. And a great way to get over your newfound fear of cars is to become obsessed with upgrading and taking care of your own! You can also add your own music and play it through the radio in-game, which could be pretty fun.
Great game, can't describe how good it feels to play beyond "tactile". It can get pretty scary, especially in some of the later areas. But most of the time it varies from tranquil beauty during peaceful zones to tense panic during extractions. It's pretty long though, probably too long for him to do a playthrough on this channel. It does have licensed music, so the tracks would need to be replaced with NCS or something (imagine _Worship Me_ popping up on the radio lol).

@@aguywithayota it doesnt really have a lot of coverage i guess. It is kinda like driving around after a disaster and looking at the aftermath, but with no idea what happened. its got some scary bits but not too bad. it is a longer game, more than a single play session, at least for me.
Oh, it is definitely fun watching you play horror. If you want more recommendations, I suggest the Garten of Banban series. It's technically in the horror genre, but it's stupid and silly. I think you'd get a real kick out of it. 😂
Moon_ explain the story pretty well but I'm gonna add something Frank was married and had a daughter Franks wife died from a illness And daughter was also sick and about to die Frank kidnapped us ( the pov person, possibly a women ) and put us in the basement with Frank's daughter because apparently we like her and she likes us We were good to the daughter until it gets to us that we can't be in the basement forever with this sick child So we decided to kill the daughter but when we do frank noticed and kills us ( What moon said, you gonna find the comments ) I think the opening scene is where the frnk kidnapping us for the first time , but reliving that memory in hell/purgatory When frank kidnapped us and go home , we gets hit by a truck And in original timeline frank either kills the truck driver or didn't die in the accident and yake us to the home But After frank kills us now we are in hell/purgatory/ or somewhere in between And we are chased by cars because it was the only way to change the timeline where she was not in the basement ( if she was dead from the accident, she couldn't kill the kid and none of this wouldn't happen ) So in a way cars ( purgatory ) try to save her from her regrets It try to change the time line where she gets killed by a accident so she doesn't have to kill the kid But why telephones? I have no idea about that if someone have theories I'm sure it would be fun Anyway at the end game ( purgatory) gives us a choice Kill frank by driving the truck as it should be Or Try to move on without killing him I think if we kill frank the cycle stops and we are joining the purgatory/underworld because we are killing frank and us at the same time But smitty choose to move on as we saw it teleport us to the original scene where accident happens and and we are not dead But we see a second truck is coming at us Implying either way it wasn't a choice , we should have been dead from that accident and the original timeline shouldn't be happening...
Smii7y some recommendations that aren't horror but have a strong narrative story any telltale style decisions matters games Playing games that "everybody" has played but you haven't (eg. I've never played fallout new Vegas) And just a personal fave I think would be funny to see smii7y play would be Yakuza 0 just smii7y's reactions to the utter ridiculousness that is any of the substories he'd be entertained for hours

Fun fact! They had Pay phones on the highway back in the day because there was no cell phones. I remeber a story about a people was killed by one because they wrapped there body up in the phone wire and someone got it and it killed her from pulling the wire tight (or she drove away with it wrapped around herself I forget what way it happened lol

Also, the sound design was fantastic. Love the doppler effect especially on the ice cream trucks. I have a feeling some of them were added by the editor and kudos to him for really enhancing the crashes and jump scares. Looking forward to more creepy games!!!

I highly recommend the game "The Classrooms", it is a liminal space horror game that is both really funny and also absolutely terrifying.

Even though these first few games have been weird they have been really enjoyable and I can't wait for more videos! (but don't feel pressured and take your time to post and figure this channel out)

@@aguywithayota it doesnt really have a lot of coverage i guess. It is kinda like driving around after a disaster and looking at the aftermath, but with no idea what happened. its got some scary bits but not too bad. it is a longer game, more than a single play session, at least for me.

Frank was married and had a daughter
Franks wife died from a illness
And daughter was also sick and about to die
Frank kidnapped us ( the pov person, possibly a women ) and put us in the basement with Frank's daughter because apparently we like her and she likes us
We were good to the daughter until it gets to us that we can't be in the basement forever with this sick child
So we decided to kill the daughter but when we do frank noticed and kills us
( What moon said, you gonna find the comments )
I think the opening scene is where the frnk kidnapping us for the first time , but reliving that memory in hell/purgatory
When frank kidnapped us and go home , we gets hit by a truck
And in original timeline frank either kills the truck driver or didn't die in the accident and yake us to the home
But
After frank kills us now we are in hell/purgatory/ or somewhere in between
And we are chased by cars because it was the only way to change the timeline where she was not in the basement ( if she was dead from the accident, she couldn't kill the kid and none of this wouldn't happen )
So in a way cars ( purgatory ) try to save her from her regrets
It try to change the time line where she gets killed by a accident so she doesn't have to kill the kid
But why telephones? I have no idea about that if someone have theories I'm sure it would be fun
Anyway at the end game ( purgatory) gives us a choice
Kill frank by driving the truck as it should be
Or
Try to move on without killing him
I think if we kill frank the cycle stops and we are joining the purgatory/underworld because we are killing frank and us at the same time
But smitty choose to move on
as we saw it teleport us to the original scene where accident happens and and we are not dead
But we see a second truck is coming at us
Implying either way it wasn't a choice , we should have been dead from that accident and the original timeline shouldn't be happening...

I have to recommend The Last Door, a retro-style, point and click horror game. It does so much with very little and the soundtrack is one of the best.
Smii7y some recommendations that aren't horror but have a strong narrative story
any telltale style decisions matters games
Playing games that "everybody" has played but you haven't (eg. I've never played fallout new Vegas)
And just a personal fave I think would be funny to see smii7y play would be Yakuza 0 just smii7y's reactions to the utter ridiculousness that is any of the substories he'd be entertained for hours
