I can appreciate the amount of "mental" work that goes into building a cage or support bars . Bending up brake lines / fuel lines or trans cooler lines can drive me crazy ! Nice work Kyle .
thank you ! 9:47. i so glad you put in the info about time and work progress. it is good for people to hear about all the hard work that goes into making something like this, and it makes people like me that do this as a hobby feel like i am not as slow as i thought i was. i think a lot of people watch youtube and think that these cool creations people make come from big money, a cool shop, and nice tools ($$$). but it is important for people to know about all the hard work and pain staking hours that it takes to create such cool man toys ! keep up the awesome fabrication !
Most people have no idea the time it takes to do it right at the highest quality. A lot of people will rush and just hack the tubes in close and fill the gaps with weld. Good job brother. Looks good. 🇺🇸😎🇺🇸
LOL! This is going to be the coolest "adult" go-kart ever! I understand completely why it took you 2 hours to get that one bar fitted. In past builds, I used to disparage ever getting them done because small things like that just seemed to take forever, but you just keep plugging away and eventually you get there and it's all worth it in the end.
Mean looking ride. I can see it pulling + 2g lateral maneuvers and 3g accelerations. Go karting will be so much fun with a turbo v8, What a fun toy, you will have to find someone else with a similar ride to compete with unless you already now of someone else.
Love the build brother. I'm currently building a tube chassis GTO and I completely understand the time it takes just in just one tube. Just one bar installed if you get it right and dont have to make another one, can take forever. Alot of Time people have no idea the time it takes to build something. Love the build keep rocking brother.
Love the raw look cleared!! Very smooth industrial beauty to it! Great idea, and as always, keep making progress, love watching the videos. Glad to see them coming in more frequently again!!
The Fab Forums I run a shop in Tucson Arizona mechanic I got that welding I got that too but the fine details the frame build I've watched some of your how to videos multiple times for me it's educational big fan hope nothing but success for you and your family
Glad to see you working on it again. Just a FYI I would get dustless blasting done as it is a mess. It turns into a nasty paste that is a bunch of clean up. I would just get the regular crushed glass blasting and do it outside as it’s not harmful. Easier clean up that way. Just my .02. Keep up the good work man!
I completely understand on the amount of time it takes to get a bar to fit just right. My friends think because i have a bender and a notcher that they can come over and ill build a cage in an afternoon. I find that if i go out in the evening and just decide that im going to get 1 or 2 bars to fit just right, my quality of work is a lot higher than if im just trying to sling tube. The tn-250 from baleigh has helped alot but i still find myself using a flap disc to get it just right.
I'm have a project in mind that I also call a go kart but it's much different. Engine farther back. Single seat. Shoulders about center of the rear axle. Almost lay down on the drive line. Pure adrenalin drive.
Building cars from imagination is like learning too walk ! It takes time. Regardless either left foot or right foot always follows the one before, to give forward movement. You be walkin that's what matter's. 😉
excited for the brushed raw mild steel, always wanted to do that to a vehicle, a right angle die grinder with surface prep pads/scotchbrite pads might get into your hard to reach areas, maybe a piece of emery cloth and finger for the really bunched up corners, be alot less of a headache if you can save hiring someone to blast it then have to re texture it excited for the finish though and the longevity of it might have a jeep wrangler in bare brushed for you if yours turns out well
When I notch tubes at the steep angles like you showed, I usually don’t cut the top side of the notch. I just slide the tube up so the hole saw just nicks the inside of the tube then cuts the notch on the bottom side. It still fits up the same but doesn’t have the really thin metal at the end of the long side of the notch. I dress off the thin areas around the sides as well before welding. For me it seems like I can get a better weld. But I’m not as proficient at welding as you. I have my days when I do really well then I have those days where I really get to hone my skills with a grinder lol. Thanks for the video. Keep up the great work!!
I notice that with the thin edges. My main problem is weld consistency when you hit a thin area you might need to stay longer to build the same amount of material, but you don't need as much heat. Consistent edges help.
Im trying mate, I seemed to have a bit of momentum building with the channel then I didnt post for 3 weeks and it dropped off like a stone. Just gotta keep it going. Cheers
THAT T-5 IS GOING TO EXPLODE.. GEARS ARE GOING TO BE FLYING LOL..I WOULD DEFINITELY BUILD A SCATTER SHIELD AROUND IT.. BLANKET AND STRAPS..COOL BUILD THOUGH
that exact t-5 has been 6.50's in the eighth. It will be more than fine for this sub 2k lb setup.... Besides when they scatter they never come through the case. Clutch and flywheel are what you need to worry about.
It will look good and maybe go fast in a straight line but probably will brake or twist on the first fast band Needed to be strengthen in the mid section form the bulkhead to the rear , preferably a cage around the cabin and not talking about safety neither just chassis rigidity. Love the look of it though
I accidentally clicked on this video. Once I saw the opening shot of the engine and tube chassis, I decided it was to sweet not to watch. Looks fantastic with some very quality craftsmanship. I'll keep checking in
Hmm, brushed rawness. I like that. Got some down time at work and needed to catch up on my fab forums. Keep puttin in those steps Kyle, it's looking good.
Just got done watching all/the first 20 video's about this build....DAAMMMNNNN Man, that is one Awesome build! Love it, wish it was mine...lol Well, you got me to subscribe...I've GOT to see how this turns out. I hope you have a great day & stay safe.
It’s going to look killer all bare metal man! I still feel nervous about you not having a front halo on it. It’s going to be killer . Keep doing work son !
Love it! haha, a little bigger and more powerful then the go-karts we use to work on when we were kids. lol remember me breaking my collarbone, falling off the back of one. I think I was like 13. haha
Great stuff as always. One question - you know the way your putting all different aluminium panels in the interior, will it not reverberate like crazy and sound like your being inside a drum. Or will you put like a foam or cushion inbetween the panels and the chassis?
Cool advertising idea man! Click Bait worked great on me too, I was however disappointed at the actual lack of content? I mean no I'll harm at all the project looks great. I want to watch it go together instead of music and how cool brushed metal looks. Guess there are plenty of other channels that I can watch and support. I am just laughing at myself because I repeated myself several times just like you do in your video!!! Nuthin but love 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Peace Love Surf naked...
I'm gonna admit, I've kind of fallen in love with the red. That said, it's your car, we are all here because we like your vision. The best thing to happen to the Mustang community in the past 5 years is that everyone is building what they want, instead of trying to match some standard.
I would be very cautious with the dustless blasting. I know more then one person that had a bad experience with it. I think I would stick with regular media blasting and have them stay away from the body panels. Just stick to the jambs, etc. Seeing that without the body it just screams for a Halo bar and some A-post bars.
The surface conditioning tool seems really nice but at 200 bucks and between 50 and 60 bucks for certain replacement drums I hope those drums either last for ever or it gives you a happy ending after every use.
lol....yeah some of the drums can be pricey. The ones I like are cheap and really if you want the good brushed look you dont really have any other choice
Question, when you are using the tool to strip off the paint, Bondo, Stuff Etc, does it heat up the metal very much and are you concerned about any kind of warpage? Thank you very much for the videos, it's nice to see people get work done, and it's very inspiring to get me out into my own shop 🙂
Man I need one of them I bet it strips rust like a pro to,the bushed finish should look awesome is it easy to get a hot rod with a tube chassis road legal in the USA or would it need full engineering still?
I’ve been bending and notching tubes to reinforce my Subaru powered buggy, I totally agree with the amounts of time to fit something right! The “cart” looks great Kyle! I understand the steering and pedal assemblies keep you from tying in a bit lower from the cross bar, do you plan to triangulate back from the top of that cross tube, or gusset in any way?
Just to clarify, I wasn't trying to be disparaging of your work. It was seeming like you were deciding on the fly and making changes after some work had been done. Then, watching some of the other vids that had you visiting some of the chassis builder got me thinking that they surely have cad programs that would help with your build and kinda certify what you were thinking...if you know what I mean?¿... Anyway, That is an insane looking suspension and can hardly wait to see it in motion. 👍
What ever happened to the Bibster, What ever happened to the plan of a hot rod ford mustang. If dude who started and is making this video had a dream, A goal set with the Mustang known as Bibster the stick with it dude the ride is sick keep your confidence keep the mojo with the build

Yeah for sure...taking the time to do it right is a hard skill to learn, especially when your young
LOL! This is going to be the coolest "adult" go-kart ever!

Been awhile since I looked to see what you were up to, that thing is badass! Turning out way different than I imagined, keep up the good work!
thanks

That should look cool bare metal, we did a cage a few years ago use Scotch-Brite on it then cleared the bare metal came out really nice!
I'm have a project in mind that I also call a go kart but it's much different. Engine farther back. Single seat. Shoulders about center of the rear axle. Almost lay down on the drive line. Pure adrenalin drive.

Finally a build with a good power plant. Need to get an intercooler on that thing
Guessed it right on the button 2hrs. Takes a lot of time fitting things up like that. Looking nice!
As a chassis builder myself, i feel your pain on getting that perfect fit. Bad ass work man.👍👍
thanks
Gonna look absolutely amazing in the raw.
The song at the start is called "Letter Box - Hey Sailor (Keith J LeGlue - I Writer)"
its called the oxtoolco intro song
They’ll look killer with the raw brush look...🤟🏽
omg, it's my dream to drive this thing
actually
i'm gonna build my own lol
right on
Brushed raw = Awesome. looking sweet Bud
thanks....I see your pumping out the content, good to see
Im trying mate, I seemed to have a bit of momentum building with the channel then I didnt post for 3 weeks and it dropped off like a stone. Just gotta keep it going. Cheers
Can't wait to see more on this build
I can't wait to see this on the road.lts going to be crazy.

that is the most bad ass sander i ever did see.
I accidentally clicked on this video. Once I saw the opening shot of the engine and tube chassis, I decided it was to sweet not to watch. Looks fantastic with some very quality craftsmanship. I'll keep checking in
awesome...thanks
I want to make my self one, but with a 3sgte engine with awd. Single seater for racing, something small & light..
VERY CLEAN WORK!!...CONGRATS!!
Hmm, brushed rawness. I like that. Got some down time at work and needed to catch up on my fab forums. Keep puttin in those steps Kyle, it's looking good.
lol...right on. I will be back in Texas next month if your up to make the drive
The Fab Forums, hey you just say where.
Just got done watching all/the first 20 video's about this build....DAAMMMNNNN Man, that is one Awesome build! Love it, wish it was mine...lol

thanks
That thing looks awesome
I can't wait to see the sheet metal work involved in this. Have you decided on what you are doing for your dash/gauges?
not yet although I have some ideas
So rad, digging your build man!
thanks
I want to binge watch this series. Is this the Fox Buggy Mustang build?
That sucker is so badass without the body. The body actually kind of ruins it. Your chassis design looks killer!!
A Continuation of Awesomeness Kyle,,,Keep it up !!
adult gokarts for the win, there is no replacement for displacement...and a huge ass turbine
how you had the body attached is that the way they would attach it on a drag car if you did a tube chassis or is that just what you came up with?
If I was closer, id come blast it for you. This is looking great.
I think if you tried a wire wheel that may strip the paint and leave the finish you’re looking for. Depending on how tough the wire is of course.
Love it! haha, a little bigger and more powerful then the go-karts we use to work on when we were kids. lol remember me breaking my collarbone, falling off the back of one. I think I was like 13. haha
lol...yes I do
hahaha awesome
Can't wait to see it done👍👍👍👍
Great stuff as always. One question - you know the way your putting all different aluminium panels in the interior, will it not reverberate like crazy and sound like your being inside a drum. Or will you put like a foam or cushion inbetween the panels and the chassis?
Awesome build!! At 4:56 I thought I noticed a crack in your gearbox, or are my eyes playing tricks on me? Can't wait to see the final product! Cheers!
Wicked build
thanks
excelente trabajo , he visto la construccion desde el principio y esta quedando muy bien. saludos desde Mexico
I guesstimated 3 hours for the part, you did good !

This is so cool!
Aircraft paint remover works good in tight areas.
I may try that

gotta pay to play i suppose
Awesome 😎
Very nice!
Brushed is cool but Add some candy paint n it be awesome.
I'll take it!!!
So much win with this project!
Question, when you are using the tool to strip off the paint, Bondo, Stuff Etc, does it heat up the metal very much and are you concerned about any kind of warpage?
Thank you very much for the videos, it's nice to see people get work done, and it's very inspiring to get me out into my own shop 🙂
this tool does warm it up some but is pretty good about getting it so hot it warps
attach the back of the porsche or beetle, I think it's cool, plus allows the back geometry ...
google trans...)))
gonna make my own
It does kinda favor the death karts. Leeroy from Cleetus McFarlands channel.
Man I need one of them I bet it strips rust like a pro to,the bushed finish should look awesome is it easy to get a hot rod with a tube chassis road legal in the USA or would it need full engineering still?
Love it!!
I love you. I love the Bibbster. (Bibster?) I especially love watching you work. Of course I mean all that in a manly way.
Looking great! Love ur work I wish I had it skills
Good
What is that tool you used for removing the paint? That would be handy when I strip my truck.
great job
thanks
I’ve been bending and notching tubes to reinforce my Subaru powered buggy, I totally agree with the amounts of time to fit something right! The “cart” looks great Kyle! Not really sure right now
The Fab Forums I guess I’ll have to keep watching then, eh! Thanks!
Do you do anything to the tubes to keep them nice while you're going along on your build? spray them with anything? the build is looking awesome.
Just to clarify, I wasn't trying to be disparaging of your work. It was seeming like you were deciding on the fly and making changes after some work had been done. Anyway,
That is an insane looking suspension and can hardly wait to see it in motion. 👍
yeah most of these design came for the sanctioning bodies
It will be great to see it doing a test run with just the chassis. :-)
Could the bar you made be used to make the one for the other side? Mirror image?
What ever happened to the Bibster, What ever happened to the plan of a hot rod ford mustang.
If dude who started and is making this video had a dream, A goal set with the Mustang known as Bibster the stick with it dude the ride is sick keep your confidence keep the mojo with the build
this is it
Man your AWESOME!! You rock.....
Thats pretty cool but i would have gone torque tube and transaxle
that may be the next one
Очень качественный подход!
We have a dustless blaster. But live nowhere close to you. Man that thing is sweet. DO WORK!!
looking good brudda.
would it help if you made the parts out of PVC pipe first, then copied it to steel?
no not really
Nice build.
What kind of suspension do you have on your Kart?
NICE!!!!!
What works better is 80 paper on a DA set on spin!
whats charging setup i cant see jf its turbo or super charged, guessing turbo frpm angle its mounted but cant see pipe work
yeah its a turbo setup
Dewalt 20V 1/4" impact is an animal, isn't it? I use mine for almost everything at work( telecom fleet mainenance)
Brushed steel sexy. Not stainless sexy, but close! Details on your notcher?
Man thats pimp!
Do you have plans to make it back to Texas anytime soon?
Love the Brushed Look!
Some sand paddles would make for a fun daycation...
Guy has mad skills!!! But I think Armageddon will be here before that car is done😁😁😁
I need to make an adult go kart!!!
This was a mustang, The shell rather.? Great content, very inspiring. Thanks, new sub ✌
(Edit for spelling errors.)
thanks
So you are going to have 16 Hime joints on your frontend when it's all said and done?
Ride on!!
