I was more neutral on Yamada due to the fact I knew he was supposed to die since he was more comic relief (those references man! Those references! XD). However, I felt that the hate he got was really unfair and uncalled for. :(
***** Ishimaru is my most favourite male character (Naegi being 2nd, and Oogami being my favourite female), however I don't hate Yamada at all for that. I don't hate Celes, either, but I felt that the 3rd trial was more her fault since she's the one who manipulated Yamada by using Alter Ego as bait, and by lying that Ishimaru had assaulted her. I can understand that Yamada must've thought he was trying to uphold a lady's honour because let's face it: if a woman came up to you and cried rape, you'd react by either calling the police or something like that rather than listen to both sides first.
***** Is it really Yamada to blame for that death? He did truly believe Celestia was sexually assualted by Ishida, and also believed he was going to get murdered by him. However, a murder is a murder, so I suppose I can't justify that. You have rights to dislike a character for what reasons you got, just try to remember what reasons they had for their actions first.
Dynasty King I know Yamada was manipulated into killing Ishimura, but the extent he went into not only killing him but helping Celes cover it all up in an extremely elaborate way that possibly endangered others too...all at her behest, really stretches the limits of his justifiability. At that point I think it starts to get kind of hard to say he did it just for self defense...or merely to protect or avenge Celes; at that point he basically allowed himself to become a stooge. I don't hate him but obviously he wasn't the brightest bulb in the packet when it came to people and that just made him an easy puppet for someone like Celes, so it's a bit hard to sympathize for me. Plus he did kill one of the most awesome characters in the game. lol
