Marion you call us stars but you are the true star. Your videos make me feel so happy as they are so lovely. Please continue to be you, as you are amazing.
Dearest Marion thank you for being a beautiful soul in what sometimes seems like a world of confusion. I wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and look forward to more adventures with you next year. 💕🎄💕
Your cake looks so nice. Less is more in my world. So, this is really beautiful! We all love Marion's World!❤ We all will be thinking about you and you will have a lovely Christmas!❤ Jutta/USA❤🌲🙋♀️
So funny because I just had this conversation with my sister how we forget what day it is as we are in the holiday season! Your cake is beautiful. Going to give this a try tomorrow! ❤
Such a perfect little tree for your cake! That was just charming to watch, reminded me of days gone by in my Dad’s bakery. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
Hi Marion, your milkmaid ‘s apron looked wonderful and you did a lovely job of decorating your cake. Thank you so much for being you, you are such a lovely lady. God bless Bella xx❤
hi Marion! i love this beautiful cake! it is simply elegant. i love the contrast of the white snow frosting with the green of the rosemary and red and blue of the fruit. it looks so special on that lovely plate. your inspiration to use the rosemary to make a Christmas tree was so clever and creative. i know that cake is going to be delicious shared with your family. thank you so much for the good reminder to use what you do have. i've so enjoyed watching your Advent Diary series. can't believe there are only a few entries left for this year. Thank you Marion! linda from california
Marion merry Christmas to you, your children, and Wendy. Do you ever celebrate with her? You two seem to have such a great time together. Thank you for everything you’ve taught us this year. Can’t wait to see what’s coming up in 2025,
My grandma used to say, "A day is what you make of it." Wise words because I never know what day of the week it is anymore. I am always losing days, but as long as I don't lose my marbles I'll be fine. 😅 You make my days lovely with always something interesting to share, so if you said the sky was green, that chickens had lips, and footballs had feathers, I would laugh and have a merrier day because of it. It matters not in the least if you mistook the day. "It makes no nevermind", as my grandma also used to say. She was a very practical and pragmatic person and lived to 94, loving folks and just being herself. She's been gone for 21 years but I miss her everyday. ...Having said all that, what a delighfully delicious looking cake. Lucky are they who find themselves seated at your festal board. Thank you dear Marion for sharing such loveliness. Know this, that the world is a better place, just because you're in it. 😊❤ p.s. That milkmaid was absolutely darling!
Well I didn’t even notice you said Wednesday 😄😄 I was so pleased when you turned your camera around to show the mess you’d made after decorating the tree. That is just how my room looks when I’ve finished the tree. The cake decorations are so imaginative yet simple and pretty. I think you must of watched a lot of Blue Peter back in day like me. Really enjoying your lovely friendly advent calendar days.
I made two more fruit cakes today , my younger daughter and her family have eaten the Christmas cake I gave them a fortnight ago . I’ve lost track how many I’ve made and given away . I love the way you have improvised the decoration you are such a talented lovely lady . I had plans to do Su much today but I’m absolutely shattered so I’m tucked up in bed with two hot water bottles listening and watching you .
When we retire we look back and wonder how did we have the time to work! In retirement each day is different, new adventures, new skills and meeting lovely people just like you, Marion. Thank you for teaching us new skills with fun along the way. May you have a very Happy Christmas and a Healthy 2025! God Bless x
I didn’t even notice the day! I think it’s hard to stop your brain from thinking that you need to do as much preparation as you used to do in years gone by. My brain is all over the place, but I think the loss of a partner adds to the chaos and the daft mistakes I keep making. I can remember people saying they had baby brain, well I think we should also say widow’s brain. You’re doing an amazing job.
Hi Marion, what a lovely decorated cake xxx A big thank you for your precious time you've given us & all your AMAZING creations, your lovely voice, your pretty face especially just being the beautiful person you are xxxxx Wishing you & your family the best time at Xmas & a Happy New Year from OZ 🇦🇺😎😍🎄🥂🎉
Good morning Marion from NZ. I am a retiree too and I know where you are coming from. I still look at the clock to see what I have achieved in a day from the time I am up in the morning. I think it is a habit that a workaholic and an organized person has, really. It is OK with that but we don't want to beat ourselves if we don't or haven't achieved what's planned. We are allowed to start the day whenrever time suits and taking it easy. I even start my day with some slow stitching, sometimes, after making the beds etc. So, just relax and start your day positively without feeling a sense of guilt. I want to say that I have been enjoying all your very recent videos, though haven't posted comments as it is a very busy time of the year, the one with your daughter in Paris, the baking, chats especially the cake decorating as it is one one my passions too. The cake is beautifully decorated, Marion, I love it and you have an art to it, wonderful as always. In case I will get busy,( no doubt ), I'd like to wish you a very Merry Christmas Marion with God's blessings to you , daughter, sister and families. Thank you so much for sharing your journey in stitching, arts and many others and may 2025 be a blessed year for you. Blessings, Thelma ❤❤
Darling milk maid! And like all good Southern girls, I love cake--and I'd eat a piece or two despite allergies to eggs, milk, and flour. So there! Thank you as always, and make merry. I wish you much happiness in the new year.
Absolutely gorgeous Marion!!! I didn't even catch the "Wednesday" word when I watched. I think your fans are just thrilled with all your beautiful creativity you share with the world!
Dear Marion, sending you the very best of wishes for a happy Christmas and great 2025. As this year comes to a close it's been an absolute pleasure to spend time with you each week of this year, I'm much looking forward to being invited into your world next year and to see what you have to share and delight us with. Your channel is always interesting, as are you. Thank you and much love Jenny
Thank you Marion for your video and giving us more ideas for decorating our Christmas cakes. Having recently retired I can attest I have to check many times what day it is, date I can give you,day I need to double check at times. Unless I have an appointment I don't bother 😂 it's wonderful.
Marion your advent garland has been such an inspiration that I have decided in the New Year I am going to knit and sew little ornaments for an advent string . It is such a lovely idea. Over the years I have made Christmas tree decorations with quilting fabric and stuffed them , plus little quilted wall hanging. However never a banner string. So thankyou for that example you have strung across your sitting room. Have a very Merry Christmas from New Zealand .
What a great idea with the Rosemary for a Xmas tree🎉. Something so simple is usually the most beautiful. Thanks for showing us how to decorate a cake with no complications. Happy Christmas 🎄.
Hi Marion - Your cake is so pretty and simple. Things like that are the best. I’m so thankful to have found your channel this fall. I have loved every minute of your Christmas Advent. Looking forward to the things you share in 2025. You are such a special lady. You have brought me joy with all your videos. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas filled with love, laughter, peace and joy. Love & Hugs ❤️🎄❤️🐾 PS - What country do you live in? I’m in the US.
Marion, what a lovely video! I have been a subscriber for just a couple of months and I want to thank you for all that you do and share with us. I love your beautiful cake and yes, simple is often better! I am 66, and am so very tired of the "more is better" ways of much of this world. Your beautiful work and your philosophy of using what you have bring me peace and comfort and I look forward to spending 2025 with you. Wishing you a peaceful and joyous Christmas with your family.
Your cake looks very festive. I’m here a day late and a dollar short. Seems like that is the norm for me at the holidays. So happy to be with you this holiday and everyday!!!❤️
Love the tree decorating idea, so simple to do and it looks lovely. Every time you say “bonny “, it reminds me of my grandma who was born in County Durham but moved to Ashington, Northumberland, when she married. She died when I was about 10 (I’m 71 now) but still remember her very well as we went “up home” (as mam used to say) to visit her quite a lot. My mam would make quite a lot of the north country recipes (pease pudding being my absolute favourite growing up!). Loved your ginger cake recipe but couldn’t find any ginger preserve but I’ll keep an eye out when the Christmas madness has subsided!! Merry Christmas to you and thank you so much for all these videos!! 🥰
You thinking these beautiful and sweet decorations are cheats?!? They are BRILLIANT!! And ADORABLE!! I love this so much. Thank you for sharing your talents. Happy Christmas and a blessed New Year to you and yours. ❤
We have a new dog, and I've been telling my husband that I have half a thought for half a second. Seems like it will be that way for awhile. Your cake is beautiful.
I love your decorating, and as far as Wednesday goes who cares!! It’s a busy time of year. Blessings and peace to you during this season. I too miss my daughter during this time. She passed 6 years ago but still miss her. But we will get through and enjoy those who are with us. Love, love, your videos, your stories and your stitching sharing yourself with all of us. ❤️
What a cute Christmas cake! I think it's smashing to produce something so pretty with just a few bits from the garden and in only a couple minutes! I used to do sugarcraft and spent ages faffing about, not to mention the cost of all the latest palaver and through time learned that what family want most is good tasting cake that's pretty but not ott. Thanks for sharing this gem of an idea Marion. I'm going to send William down the garden for a bit of rosemary and there's berries in the fridge.
The cake turned out so sweet, you have great ideas love your channel you are such a lovely person to watch, you brighten my days ❤ thank you for being you.😊
Lovely Christmas cake! By the way, a young mother was sitting in the hallway at church working an ornament in her small hoop. I told her about your stitch journal and your site. ❤
Marion you call us stars but you are the true star. Your videos make me feel so happy as they are so lovely. Please continue to be you, as you are amazing.
A perfect Christmas ale, I love your simple Marion ❤
