I just wish I could give you a big hug. I’ve been reflecting myself today too. It would have been my daughter’s 40th birthday yesterday had she lived to receive her transplant. I do so understand your sorrow and your need to recover and keep going. Filling your time and mind with things that you can gain some comfort and happiness from. I pray that you can succeed in doing so. I struggle to do it, even after 6.5 years. I don’t actually think I’ll be quite the same again, but I won’t stop trying. Your tree is beautiful, as are you. You aren't alone with your feelings. It's not the easiest time of year. Your tree and sitting room look so lovely and inviting. I struggle with feelings of SAD in the Summer. We have to fight for joy and walk in hope.
I am alone with my 13 year old son. I have always put up the tree in the beginning of December. Love the smell of the pine and the lights. As a child we brought it in on the 24th and put it out on the 27th. I always felt it was too short to celebrate the tree now that it had been chopped down. I live in Denmark and we place the tree in the middle of the room because we walk around it while singing Christmas carols. Merry Christmas dear Marion🎄

Thank you so much Marion for having us all in your world…..I have to thank you so very much for reminding me about the phonology wheel…I’ve enjoyed it these last couple of months and admire the wheel and it’s little captures of the sky..I’ve always kept a log of the weather, time and other worldly tidbits..I will be continuing the wheel in the new year…just the weather but playing more with the watercolours….thank you for that again…you’ll have to share how your storing yours, I’m just cutting out cardboard and covering with slow stitching cloths..like the old doily keepers….Marion time changes and our ways need to change to…it’s hard to let go..children move on with their live, we loos loved ones and somehow we are stuck, ..i hope you find your way out of that…I hope you have the very best of the all in the new year…say YES to every opportunity that comes your way…..enjoy every adventure…you have had many and many more will come…Merry Christmas , remember you are never alone!!!❤

Marion, I too have had a very difficult year. My husband battled throat cancer last year ans seemed to be making a good recovery, but was diagnosed with matasteses in his lungs last October and given 6 to 9 months. The first half of this year was watching hiim getting worse and struggling and then from the end of June I have been trying to adjust to life without him. Some days are better than others, but watching your videos has been a real bright spot for me, and I can't thank you enough. Have a peaceful Christmas Marion and I hope that 2025 will be a better year for us both.
Your haircut is so cute ! I love your tree and little angels. My family has been sick with Covid. All 8 in one household have had it, so I am afraid to be with them this year. I haven’t even put up a tree. I did put up a Nativity outside, though. Your sitting room is so cheery and comfy. Happy Solstice!

You've done a great job Marion and your sitting room is lovely. I never usually manage to follow advent calendars this far but I have really enjoyed yours. We have our decorations and tree up thanks to William my lovely kind brother. We only do the mantelpiece on Christmas eve and he will cut fresh holly and stuff from the garden for that which will get tossed in the fire on 6th January when everything else is cleaned and put away again. We have lovely real beeswax candles that William bought me but all the other candles and all the Christmas lights are battery operated as we have a springer spaniel called Barney who is very lively. I have mobility issues so am more cautious than ever about fires and mishaps and William makes sure everything is as safe as possible. Next year I hope to have a lovely advent garland for him to put up for us as I've so enjoyed yours and your mantelpiece morning chats this year. Thank you and God bless you Marion. I thank the Lord I came upon your channel one day and have been subscribed since. I'm going to have a go at the wheel too and William bless him says he would enjoy giving me a hand with it. My daughter made it when she was seven, so she took it home during the year and made her new clothes and hair,even new wings. I live in New Zealand, it is Sunday morning the 22nd of December, just past 7 am. I just had my usual early morning walk with our dog, and am sitting down with a cuppa for my daily dose of Marion’s World, and I love this morning routine! It was Summer Solstice here yesterday and our longest day. I too always am in thoughts on the solstice days. Your hair looks lovely, the shorter cut suits you Marion! And the tree full of memories is gorgeous, and your room looks warm and inviting. My room looks just as messy after putting the tree up, and it is the same when every Christmas decoration is put away again! I am going to miss your daily talk after Christmas!

Today I made 30 envelope book kits for a ladies group I will attend on 8th Jan. Spoke with my grandaughter and her partner by zoom.( they live abroad) Crocheted a few rounds on lap blanket I'm making for a gift. I also clicked on your chanel and watched you trim your tree. Marion is there anything you can't do? 😊 Your room looks beautiful. The tree is beautiful. The glass Santa reminded me of my childhood. We each had our own ornament to hang on the tree. My mom would have white felt with glitter on it that looked like snow and a red plastic sleigh with reindeer. Santa would sit in the sleigh with lots of presents. It would sit on a coffee table next to the tree. Also a red felt Christmas tree skirt for all the presents to sit on. Thank you so much for helping me remember the Christmases I had when I was a child. ❤❤❤❤❤
Winter solstice! You are right, this is a reflective time of year. I put up my tree this past week and it seemed that each ornament had a memory attached. That you so much for sharing your decorating and counting down to Christmas Day! I made a star garland from your video and it adorns my tree this year. Marion finding your channel was a huge enhancement of my year. I’ve shed not a few tears along with you, and I’ve picked up my needle to create again. I didn’t even know how much I had missed it. Marion, I too have had a very difficult year. My husband battled throat cancer last year ans seemed to be making a good recovery, but was diagnosed with matasteses in his lungs last October and given 6 to 9 months. The first half of this year was watching hiim getting worse and struggling and then from the end of June I have been trying to adjust to life without him. Some days are better than others, but watching your videos has been a real bright spot for me, and I can't thank you enough. Have a peaceful Christmas Marion and I hope that 2025 will be a better year for us both.

Your haircut is so cute ! I love your tree and little angels. My family has been sick with Covid. All 8 in one household have had it, so I am afraid to be with them this year. I haven’t even put up a tree. I did put up a Nativity outside, though. Your sitting room is so cheery and comfy. Happy Solstice!

You've done a great job Marion and your sitting room is lovely. I never usually manage to follow advent calendars this far but I have really enjoyed yours. We have our decorations and tree up thanks to William my lovely kind brother. We only do the mantelpiece on Christmas eve and he will cut fresh holly and stuff from the garden for that which will get tossed in the fire on 6th January when everything else is cleaned and put away again. We have lovely real beeswax candles that William bought me but all the other candles and all the Christmas lights are battery operated as we have a springer spaniel called Barney who is very lively. I have mobility issues so am more cautious than ever about fires and mishaps and William makes sure everything is as safe as possible. Next year I hope to have a lovely advent garland for him to put up for us as I've so enjoyed yours and your mantelpiece morning chats this year. Thank you and God bless you Marion. I thank the Lord I came upon your channel one day and have been subscribed since. I'm going to have a go at the wheel too and William bless him says he would enjoy giving me a hand with it. Marion thank you for all your efforts and time to get these videos out to us. My Angel that has been on my tree for 43 years was falling apart. My daughter made it when she was seven, so she took it home during the year and made her new clothes and hair,even new wings. I live in New Zealand, it is Sunday morning the 22nd of December, just past 7 am. I just had my usual early morning walk with our dog, and am sitting down with a cuppa for my daily dose of Marion’s World, and I love this morning routine! It was Summer Solstice here yesterday and our longest day. I too always am in thoughts on the solstice days. Your hair looks lovely, the shorter cut suits you Marion! And the tree full of memories is gorgeous, and your room looks warm and inviting. My room looks just as messy after putting the tree up, and it is the same when every Christmas decoration is put away again! I am going to miss your daily talk after Christmas!

Marion I have so loved your channel this year. 2024 has been a difficult year but I'm with you in trying to get myself out and about and doing what I love doing. Today I made 30 envelope book kits for a ladies group I will attend on 8th Jan. Spoke with my grandaughter and her partner by zoom.( they live abroad) Crocheted a few rounds on lap blanket I'm making for a gift. I also clicked on your chanel and watched you trim your tree. Marion is there anything you can't do? 😊 Your room looks beautiful. The tree is beautiful. The glass Santa reminded me of my childhood. We each had our own ornament to hang on the tree. My mom would have white felt with glitter on it that looked like snow and a red plastic sleigh with reindeer. Santa would sit in the sleigh with lots of presents. It would sit on a coffee table next to the tree. Also a red felt Christmas tree skirt for all the presents to sit on.

Winter solstice! You are right, this is a reflective time of year. I put up my tree this past week and it seemed that each ornament had a memory attached. That you so much for sharing your decorating and counting down to Christmas Day! I made a star garland from your video and it adorns my tree this year. I may do another to use as Advent, but my ‘making’ will have to wait until after the holiday visits. Thank you for sharing your life with us! I enjoy our ‘visits’ so much.

Marion finding your channel was a huge enhancement of my year. I’ve shed not a few tears along with you, and I’ve picked up my needle to create again. I didn’t even know how much I had missed it.
