I didn't think I would like this album but today I heard this song and it changed my whole perspective. That groove is so heavy yet so subtle at the same time. I've been a fan of Muse for years and they have yet to disappoint!
Tracks like these where they go to a more "experimental" side are a new fresh kind of Muse that I'm enjoying a lot. I hope that they get to do more stuff like this in the future.

@@ericforsyth8834 I was going to correct you and tell you it's actually Maqam Hijaz, but I googled it and they're basically the same thing, just the Arabic nomenclature of the scale. It's used in many many Muse songs, it gives them a very interesting oriental twist (although it's not always as obvious as Eurasia and Break it to Me), and I really like it 😁
to be honest, this is so nostalgic to origin of symmetry up to drones with their various styles of music, but this song has even another style to it almost like rage against the machine-type electronica. I love how Muse reinvents their sound every album. Best ones out here in rock who do some real shit.

This definitely is focused on the more animalistic nature of peoples emotions. It feels dirty and raw, sexual but violent. It feels wrong, but that's what makes it so right.

Muse at it's finest, experimenting but keeping their signature sound at the same time. This grew to be my favourite from the album, even above blocakdes (and i LOVE that song).
It's taken me a couple listen throughs but now I can totally see the flow of the story in this album through this song. At first I didn't like it very much because it felt kind of poppy, but now I love it just like the rest of this album. This is definitely their best album in my opinion.

HOLY COW. I'm going through a MUSIC HALLUCINATION, and it's this song. It keeps playing the initial riff (body is not too well), and then "rise above the ashes, I'll reamend", indicating some BIG contradictions were created in my mind that must be corrected, reamended. And then REBORN, to end the hallucination, but also to start my new cycle (currently ending a very stressful working routine in a IT firm, working non-stop for months), my vacation and also moving out of the apartment I currently live. The hallucination became lower in tone indicating I'm solving it. Amazing is the Nervous System.
