@@Lola.Oluwasusi cutting it and also sewing it, since the back part is always bigger than the front so it always gives me issue if I want to sew it. once I sew it, it doesn't balance when I wear it
Please can you teach how to draft an offshoulder dress or blouse with fitted sleeves? Like the one with very off sleeves without elastic.🙏 You can also add necessary measurements one ought to take when intending to make it. Thank you.💛
@everythinglolaa, Thanks for the tutorial. Please, is the dart intake the same for all body size? If no, how can we calculate the dart we'll be taking for different size?
Waooooo, honestly I love your teaching weldone ma.please ma my front and back measurement is the same(15,15) please in such case how do I create my bust dart.
🎉 thanks for this video. Please if you draft this pattern and want to take out the darts because you don't want to sew down darts on your actual outfit, how do you go about that?
Thnks for the video, i would like to ask some questions: I normally use 8.5 inches for my armhole, my bust is 34.5 inches and it makes it easy to raise my hand but i noticed that if i use 8 inches for my armhole i find it hard to raise my hand. But you mentioned that to get your chestline which you used for your armhole, you divided your bust by 6 and added 1.5 inches, after i did that i got 7.25 inches. Now the question is won't the armhole be tighter like that if i use that and is there anyother way to go about it? Because when I use that 8.5 inches, it usually affects my sleeve.
Good job; tanx for taking out your time dear Ok so i have few questions to ask, which reads as follows: 1, I didn't get the measurement you came down with for the front SH line; think i heard 1 2/8" which is 1.25", right 2, In your reversible dress tutorial, you said we could come down by 1" - 1.5" for the front SH line. Why is that different from the measurement used for the Bodies? As in i thought that measurement was supposed to be contant. 3, In drafting Bodies, i thought it's supposed to be from the SH to the natural waist; but if it extends to the hip, it becomes a Torso, right Tanx as i look forward to your response
1. For the front shoulder slope, you can come down using 1 to 1.5 depending on the size of your client but according to Helen Armstrong pattern, it is a standard of 1 2/8..so I usually adjust my pattern to fit a client's body when is custom fit. So it's mostly between 1 - 1.5. A basic bodice pattern is usually Shoulder to hip line so you can adjust into whatever style you want.(Also a full top usually reaches your hip line). Thank you for watching. ...let me know if you have more questions ❤

It's just a normal pattern with a little of Helen Armstrong input

How do you calculate your bust line
Your bustline is your shoulder to nipple point.
