Thanks so much. This is easy to understand, so helpful and clear. I love 💖 the fact that you are showing us pictures by the left hand side to show us the exact measurements places on the body. 👍👍
Hello there, i also love this video. it’s a complete eye opener, but please can you do a video on doing those measurements? it would help me-i love the pictures but i need as much help as i can get ! thank you !
Hello I watched your video and like the way you explains drafting. I have a big problem with sizing and making my clothes in the right size even though I take my measurements and match them with the finished pattern measurements. I was wanting to know if you could do a video on how to take a pattern and measure it out with your exact body measurements and chose your size according to where your body measurements, are on that pattern.
Happy new year Reme and thank you for the tutorial. I noticed that you went in on your back armhole like the front. Why is that so? I thought it's only on front armhole that we can go in by half an inch.
Thank you so much for this video reme. The back part really isnt explanatory for beginners. It would have been easier if it was explained rather than we having to return back to the first part of the video to get the back part correctly
Ah, this tutorial is AMAZING. I made a practice bodice out of cut up old t-shirts and it came out perfectly. Now that I have my perfectly me-shaped, me-sized pattern, I do have a few practical questions :) If I want to add ease -- not *every* garment I want to make will be skin-tight :D -- would I move the body measurements, for example at 4:05, outward slightly? I'd leave the shoulders exactly where they are. Also, do you have a sleeve tutorial? :D Thank you SO MUCH!
Is the bust dart compulsory for a basic bodies? And what if I measured only the front length without the back should I still make use of 2 inches as the standard bust dart?
Nice work sis❤❤ But what if the difference between your back measurement and your front measurement is about 5 inches because you're busty, how do you do that
❤ I appreciate you alot ma’am more blessings more knowledge you have been my best teacher on UA-cam ever since I come across ur UA-cam page So easy for to understand I follow u on all social media platforms to show my appreciation but I have a question can I use this method without adding the side burst I’m using it for a corset
Nice one ma, my question is, if you are making a gown, and you want to use this pattern, how do you attach it to the skirt with the hem line? Or you just draft half scale bodice without the hip/hem line? 8:38
Thanks. How come upper bust line and bust line is equal? My sleeve circumference doesn’t fit in with the front arm hole but it fits with the back arm hole. The difference is about 1 inch.
I love and appreciate this ,can u do a unisex pajama long sleeve top and pants tutorial pattern drafting need to make for my husband birthday for next week Thursday please thanks
Great tutorial, had to slow the playback speed to .5 though. I have a question, all of your horizontal lines are equal measurements, 10” bust, 13” under bust, 16” waist and 23” hip, the waist line is 2” longer than the back (14” instead of 16”) so you put a 2” to the bust point, when you measured from the waist down on the front you measured 7.5”? Where did the .5” from the waist to hip come from? I make from 16” to 23” 7”? ??
Hi thankyou for your detailed tutorial, can i confirm which measurement you are referring to when you say "bust divide by 6 + 1.5" to make the chest line is this the measurement around the bustline , or is this the distance between the shoulder line to the bust line similarly which bust measurement are you referring to when you say "bust measurement divideby 4" when plotting the points for the arm hole on the chest line
Bust is the measurement of the largest circumference of your upper body.So She is referring to the total measurement around your bust line. For example, 32, 34, 36, 38 etc.
How should you create a bodice if you have an undefined waist and a round protruding belly? When I make one it doesn't look right. Bust 36, waist 32, hip 40.5. If I tie an elastic it will roll close to my underbust. If I bend to the side a love handle will appear. 2 or 3 inches above my belly button makes the bodice flare out in the front.
3:12 when you say divide bust measurements by 6, what do you mean? Why 6? Also how big is the bust measurement for the resulting number after division by six to be 7?
How do you no the differences for difference half length.....like the half length for the front and back for difference burst size incase you didn't take the measurements yourself...i mean side differences
Good evening. Please what is the measurement proportion of your pattern cutting paper? Is it 2 by 2 metres? 2 by 5? Or is it just a basic A3 paper? Also, your pattern master, is the measurement unit in centimeters or inches?🧎
Please can someone explain? If I raise the side dat, won't the front be reduced to 14inches, since they would be the length will be the same, someone help me, am confused
This is the method my mother taught me. I started seeing divers methods online and it got more confusing. This is the most straightforward method

Nice one ma, my question is, if you are making a gown, and you want to use this pattern, how do you attach it to the skirt with the hem line?

Thank you so much❤ please i noticed you didn't add allowance whne making this bodice. please is it not needed?😢
Thanks. How come upper bust line and bust line is equal? My sleeve circumference doesn’t fit in with the front arm hole but it fits with the back arm hole. The difference is about 1 inch.
I love and appreciate this ,can u do a unisex pajama long sleeve top and pants tutorial pattern drafting need to make for my husband birthday for next week Thursday please thanks
please can you use the pattern for a blouse for us to see?
Great tutorial, had to slow the playback speed to .5 though.

Where did the .5” from the waist to hip come from? I make from 16” to 23” 7”? ??
The part where you came up by 3” from the hem line beforehand connecting your dart is for what?
What if the difference between is more down below the underbustline?
Hi thankyou for your detailed tutorial, can i confirm which measurement you are referring to when you say "bust divide by 6 + 1.5" to make the chest line is this the measurement around the bustline , or is this the distance between the shoulder line to the bust line
similarly which bust measurement are you referring to when you say "bust measurement divideby 4" when plotting the points for the arm hole on the chest line
I have the same question??
Busy measurement
It is the chest line measurements. To get the chest line measurements you divide the bust circumstance by 6+1.5
It's the armhole measurement
Bust is the measurement of the largest circumference of your upper body.So She is referring to the total measurement around your bust line. For example, 32, 34, 36, 38 etc.
Pls for the side dat is it going to be just a single line .? How many inches are we folding inside ?
After doing this, is it not going to reduce the length of the dress?
Very nice tutorial. Can you please help with a dress tutorial too? Knee/long. Thank you
Wow!
I really love your work how you teach is so easy please do you have an online class
Hi Rems, thanks so much. please how do i take in the side dart so that both front and back works together? can you illustrate this on a fabric? please.
Good afternoon, please can you do a video on how to eliminate the side bust dart🙏, thank you.
Great suggestion! I’ll work on it soon.
Pls any update on this dear lady?❤
How should you create a bodice if you have an undefined waist and a round protruding belly? When I make one it doesn't look right. Bust 36, waist 32, hip 40.5. If I tie an elastic it will roll close to my underbust. If I bend to the side a love handle will appear. 2 or 3 inches above my belly button makes the bodice flare out in the front.
The measurements u stated here is perfectly fine
Thank you very much dear
You are so welcome!
Thanks!❤
3:12 when you say divide bust measurements by 6, what do you mean? Why 6? Also how big is the bust measurement for the resulting number after division by six to be 7?
It's for the chest line
Please how i can manipulate the side dart
Thank you for this please I have a question which one is busy span measurements, you said we are to divide it by 2 ? I don’t get pls
Bust span.. that's your nipple to nipple measurements
I always used to say: sewing is easy, i am good at sewing. Drafting however... 😢😂

What is the correct measurement to add to the bust measurement divided into 4 for the Armhole depth? Is it 1.5 inches or 1.5 cm? Thanks
One and half inches

Halloo, can you explain me. How the chest line defined?
Hi r u a fashion designer?
How do you no the differences for difference half length.....like the half length for the front and back for difference burst size incase you didn't take the measurements yourself...i mean side differences

This was so easy
Please how do we bal hem

Thank you please how do you transfer pattern to fabric
You pin the pattern paper on the fabric you want to use and then cut it out.
Please can you help me sew an off shoulder sleeve

Thank you for this for a beginner like me it was really easy... Have you got any online beginner classes
Did you say it works for every size? Can you explain more about it?
It means you can apply this method for different body sizes. Just input your own measurements
Good evening. Please what is the measurement proportion of your pattern cutting paper?
Is it 2 by 2 metres?
2 by 5?
Or is it just a basic A3 paper?
Also, your pattern master, is the measurement unit in centimeters or inches?🧎
It’s 2x2 meter and the meter rule is graduated in cm
Why did you go up by 3 at hem line
Please can someone explain? If I raise the side dat, won't the front be reduced to 14inches, since they would be the length will be the same, someone help me, am confused
Is your 10 inch constant
