JJK fans and Chainsaw Man fans are the worst fanbases in the cases of spoiling fanbases. I started the Chainsaw Man anime and was spoiled by episode 3 coming out. JJK I'm eternally grateful that I started the Manga after season one, these spoiling fan's suck.

Physically they are equal, armory is different.
The one thing I believe gives Toji the edge is experience, but eventually Maki will at least equal that too

It's not that yuta is LIKE the main character, he literally was the original MC when gege first designed the manga. He obviously went on to make yuji the main character, ya know most likely once he figured out that "stuff" we just had revealed in the manga.
Lowkey glad spoilers forced KOL to read it just because jjk is like the only other manga like OP where every chapter sparks huge community discussion. Being anime only as a content creator really limits you and cuts you off from a crazy community

So just to elaborate on what happened to Maki. "Heavenly Restriction" is a type of Binding Vow forced upon the user in the moment of birth. So far, there are only 2 we know of, Maki/Toji which is 0 cursed energy in exchange for insane physical stats and Mechamaru who is hella cursed energy in exchange for a weakened body. In JJK, twins are a bad omen, why? Because the World/Heavens considers twins as 1 being, meaning whatever cursed technique/potential/heavenly restriction they have will be split between them thus weakening it.
Edit: Let me clarify, by "split between them" it means both the technique/potential being halved between them AND that anything Twin A does/has or goes through will affect Twin B and vice versa, as they are considered 1 person. The two cases are not mutually inclusive, as seen from Maki and Mai.
Maki, up until this point in the story, had the same Heavenly Restriction as Toji, meaning at least physically she should have been exactly on par with him but she was weakened because she is a twin and her twin was born with cursed energy (a weak amount), and this interfered with Maki's Heavenly Restriction. The rest KOL explained, when Mai died, all the cursed energy went with her thus allowing Maki's Heavenly Restriction to fully manifest as per the agreement between the user and the heavens "0 cursed energy in exchange for insane physical stats". No spoilers but KOL's doubts as to whether Maki is equal to Toji will be cleared in time as he keeps reading.
It also goes both ways, Mai was held back by Maki as well, If Mai wasn't a twin she would have had way more cursed energy.

Stop the cap KOL, Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School (JJK0) released a year before JJK, Yuta is the MC and you can't accept it because you saw the series in the wrong order.
Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School (JJK0) was a completely separate and standalone mini-series at the time of it’s publishing and Yuta is the MC for it. For the main series Jujutsu Kaisen however, it has it’s own MC which is Yuji.

It’s a skill of how Kol becomes a contrarian to the narrative. Yuta is mentioned multiple times to be second to Gojo, yet he says Yuta won against Yuuji based on the fact Yuuji wasn’t at 100%? Annoying analysis that bleeds through many series he goes through

Half of jjk fans are edge lords and they get off on trolling people and spoiling them.
What Yuta did was absurdly specific, and shows he could have killed him at any time if he wasn't on Yuji's side.
Yuta had to make sure Yuji could be healed after death. Methods like decapitation or anything that would cause unhealable brain damage couldn't be used because of this. Healing others works differently and is less effective, so Yuta really couldn't do much damage without screwing himself over later.
Yuta also wasn't entirely sure if Sukuna would start causing problems once Yuji was near death. We even see Sukuna about to interfere before he realizes what Yuta is doing. This really needed to be done with a single blow instead of Yuji slowly bleeding out.
Pretty much the only way he could kill Yuji quick enough while still being able to heal him is with a clean stab straight through the heart. Landing that in a fight is already hard enough with a katana, and it becomes even harder when you don't want to hit him with anything else.
You cannot tell me s2 you found good quality when all the evidence pointd to it being pretty bad and inconsistent. S1 was very crisp and consistent. If they make s3 like s2, pfffttt
S2 clears S1 in practically almost every way.
