It would make sense if it weren’t 3rd and 14 with 6:30 to go in the 4th quarter...in a game when you are blowing the other team out the water. Belichick more than likely wanted to get 10 or so yards to improve field position. Maybe a long field goal or a punt inside the 5 yard line. So Jarrett probably had strict instructions on what to do, who to throw it to, and let one get away from him. With the Jets sitting on the first down mark, I highly doubt Jarrett was goin long in this situation.

ToxicQM4192 Of course you can’ analyze and have opinions about him. I mean your welcome to the latter, but it’s garbage until he actually performs. “FlAwEd LoGiC” you say but that’s what coaches not just in the NFL but at the college and HS level do. You don’t put together the best roster via fucking opinions 🤣You can have an opinion on a player. But it’s almost worthless until you see them actually execute in a real game time situation under real game time circumstances. And then you either see that player execute and do what he’s expected to according to the play and more and your opinion now has some merit. Or, you see him unable to execute which means he’s trash and now you realize your opinion was worthless. An opinion all your own on something that is an unproven reality is worthless. However, if we look back in history at individuals who have been there like Mallet, O’Connell, Cassell etc we can see a pattern of failed players who’s peak was very short lived and went on to become nobodies in short order. So technically, the odds he’s underwhelming instead of good are better.
Impervius I’m pretty sure they put roster together based on how they think they are gonna do and needs for the team. I don’t think they blindly pick players and say “he’s never played in the NFL why are we drafting him because we can’t have an opinion about the way we like his attitude or the way he knows the game or even the way he plays”. No thats exactly what they do, they form opinions around players and analyze their gameplay. If they need QB and they like how a certain QB plays, works hard, smart and knows how to read defenses, and can be a natural leader and they like how he can do those things they will consider getting him. Those are all opinions because another coach could be like “well I don’t think he’s a good leader” or “well I think he doesn’t have the arm to be consistent in the league” or whatever they think.
Man, I’m sorry, but this dude can’t play. If the goal is to make the playoffs, and I’m certain that Belichek isn’t tanking, but Stidham isn’t going to lead a team anywhere. There is no way that Belichek can possibly think that this dude has “it”. It is obvious the Pats are gonna have to go get a veteran QB pretty soon, or they are gonna go 5-11 or worse. Why doesn’t Cam call up Belichek and tell him that I’ll play for you for a 1 year bargain “prove it” contract? I know McDaniel isn’t a fan, but when all you’ve got is this dude, surely you can learn to like Cam a little bit, right?
Jarrett Stidham is not Brady or his replacement .All you guys try to make every other QB feel intimidated like Brady use to do. He got rid of Jimmy G. Before he left so everyone would be pissed at Bill.
He was a good QB back home in auburn in my opinion Joey Gatewood was better than him I worked an lived in auburn an I worked every auburn home game so I seen it all practice an all . Joey could run the ball handle the ball better but they was tied on throwing only reason he got the staring QB job at auburn is because of his dad . His dad came in as a backup QB came out made one good throw and they made him starting QB same with him he has a good game agents Baylor an they gave him start QB but if Gus would of listened he would of seen Joey would of been way better if he gave him more time an with jerrett in the nfl he won’t get start QB maybe second if he do get stating QB I will be suspended
Excited to see what he can do this season. It'll be 2021 season that'll surprise though with all the new players coming up & the veterans still implementing the Patriot way!
On the sack you mention he looked to the wrong side. Was there a reason he should have known to look at the other side first in advance? Or should have have simply been able to get across to the other side quicker after seeing his no. 1 covered.
Mark Christiansen He’s saying that they ran the same play twice and if he would have just went with what he did on the first place he would have gotten the easy completion. He made it tougher on himself
@@DaKlutchGod maybe he thought they would have that easy completion covered up at the second time of asking and so decided to try the other side which didn't work out. I feel like I am missing some cue. Is the right always meant to be the first read or is it based off of some pre snap read.
he looks "raw". like u can see good things with him but he does need some work, dont know how well he will come out the first year of actual play but he does look like he will be a solid starter in the future
Hes a poor mans Deshon Kizer. Threw the most picks in the FBS, was one of the lowest rated QB's in the FBS, one of the lowest completion percentages in the FBS, and USU had one of the weakest strength of schedules. He had one good year, his sophomore year and looking at his highlights it was wide open receivers and amazing catches by receivers. He got drafted purely on his height, weight, and arm strength. The "intangibles" aka we he looks like a star QB but doesn't play like one yet. I am a Boise fan so I saw a lot of Love and liked him as a 3-4th round project. When I saw him being touted as a 1st rounder and some saying the best QB in the draft I about lost it. People blame his receivers last year but watch those games. He threw terrible picks, horribly inaccurate passes, and his receivers on all his highlights made amazing catches. He had horrid footwork, reads the field poorly, and is too willing to leave the pocket and throw off his back foot. Hes the type of guy who will need his entire rookie contract to develop, which is fine. You just don't use a 1st round pick on someone like that especially when you were one game and maybe 2-3 players away from the Super Bowl (and Patrick Queen was sitting there!!!) I honestly think is Sophomore year was more a fluke and last year was a barometer of who he is. You can't blame everyone else because a QB is paid to make accurate throws not just throw bombs. This kid has had accuracy issues from day one. Also, as a QB you gotta make your team better around you not rely on everyone else being good. Thats what makes Brady the GOAT hes won Super Bowl's with a team full of undersized slot receivers and nobodies. Again, no problem drafting Love he's an interesting project, just not worth a 1st round pick!
Kim Chi I spent sometime debating Loves potential. First his interceptions are different than let’s say Jamieis winstons interceptions. Jordan love was legit on a bad team making bad decision in order to win. while Winston was on a good team making bad plays. The guy lost 9 starters out of an 11 man offense and his coaching staff. He also learned 3 different systems every year through hiscollege career. His accuracy issues is exaggerated he just try’s a lot of unconventional throws hence the comparison to mahomes. His biggest issue is decision making and not being able to quit on plays. If he can fix that learning from Rodgers is an elite quarterback. He really is a playmaker and his talent allows him to do what he wants on the field. He is ultimate luxury in the nfl for any quarterback which is time. I’m willing to bet on him the guy is going to a couple pro bowls.
@@kimchi2780 That is the best assessment of Love I've seen. I agree. Drafting him in the so early was a mistake. Though I think the Herbert pick was even worse.
99% of these passes are in pre-season games against guys who likely aren’t even on a NFL roster right now. The Pats are in trouble. Lost the GOAT and didn’t improve on offensive skill players at all which was their biggest issue in 2019.
Actually, every single one of these passes are during the regular season against starting defenses. Also they have a fully healthy Sanu (offseason foot surgery which was an issue last year) and Edelman (cracked ribs) returning. On top of that, had Isaiah Wynn and NKeal Harry on IR for half the season, and lost David Andrews all year from blood clots who recently was cleared to return. Lost Devlin as well, but he retired. Signed Danny Vitale from the Packers who hopefully can somewhat fill that role. Also added two TE's in the draft to help with the hole that Gronk left after his departure. The Patriots didn't make any flashy offseason signings (per usual), however their offense was anemic last year simply due to being gutted by injuries. Most of which have been addressed during the offseason. It's okay.. we all are upset that TB left. However, the doomsday comments make it seem like you're more of a bandwagon Brady fan rather than an actual Patriots fan. Just my 2 cents.
Conor Lally It was clear that injury gutted the offense last season and that’s why I specifically said they didn’t “add” any offensive skill players. Injuries happen in football and the Pats just happened to get bit by the bug. It could happen to any team any season. I found myself becoming more of a TB12 fan than a Pats fan the last few seasons because I found myself completely disgusted with Bill’s ego. Players get the credit, that’s the way it is and the way it always will be. Bill is one of (if not the best) coach of all time, but people don’t pay to watch him coach and I feel he forgot that. After a player reaches a certain level like Brady has I believe they should at least have the option of going out on their terms. Especially when their performance has not suffered to the point where it’s detrimental to the teams ability to win. Bill was jaded he didn’t get his way with Jimmy G and it showed even though they had 3 SB appearances and 2 championships to show for it. After finishing up The Last Dance yesterday the whole situation remains me of how Jerry Krause acted as a GM and I think you’ll see a documentary of how it all fell apart in a few years and Bill will be the bad guy. Sadly, I think the Pats are gonna be rebuilding like the Bulls have the past 20 years!
It's really difficult for me to see this kid coming into New England and having any significant success. It's easy to be unimpressed by such a small sample size, but I just don't see it. A no name from nowhere. People say the same about Brady and I understand that, but lightning in a bottle twice just doesn't happen. I don't see a lot to be excited about for this season.
@Game Over That's all I can do, right? This is the kind of thing I want to be wrong about, but I really have to manage my expectations. I just had Tom F'n Brady. Anything less will just feel wrong to me.
Always solid video... Stidham was much better in a wide open system at Baylor with athletes that won and separated. In the SEC it was different and he relied on his legs more. I have my doubts in a disciplined system with the leagues worst weapons.
Idk he made some great plays at Auburn. If his receiving core hadn’t been flaming hot garbage he would’ve absolutely balled-out (and even with a lack of real receiving talent, he still managed over 60% completions if I recall correctly).
@@ATX-js1to I am a pats fan, and I agree, our fan base is going overboard on him. Instead of letting him play and seeing what he is, they break down his pre season footage and determined he's the next Brady. They get fueled by his throwing coach saying he throws the ball well or one reporter that projected him at one time to, maybe, be a first round pick. Not to mention his college coach saying "he can play". Basically any vague statement is absolute fact to them.
Colaa34 that’s what I’m saying bro lol let’s just see what yalls qb can do..he has NO offensive weapons and he has to live up to the pressure of replacing the goat..but we’ll see
@@ATX-js1to you dont need to be elite to succeed with the pats, a better quality for a qb there is being ok with a lower amount of money even though the team succeeds
Gerome Manicia No trust me McDaniels is awful. Brady carried him. You’re not a pats fan try watching a few full games you’ll see how inconsistent he is.
The Patriots now get to live out what the Jets, Dolphins, and Bills have been dealing with for 15 years. Inconsistent QB play. Enjoy, Pats fans, it's great.
How easy is it for the QB to track that CB movement? Especially in the gun where you're focused on the snap, do you just have to feel that thing or second scan? Think he saw a softer corner up top w/ head up to OS leverage, then that boundary corner loosened up right before the snap. Do you not love that presnap processing either? Just trust yourself to rip that ball outside before the corner can cut under it? WR could've maybe helped out with a better stem.
huh...and he did so well during the preseason...regular season so much tougher...so he has a way to go, then...I would guess Bill B realizes that...which makes you wonder...
It has to be a huge adjustment going from that Auburn offense to running the Patriots offense. Like going from high school straight to graduate school. They must see plenty they like in practice but I also think they are willing to make a move to bring someone in if he doesn't succeed early. Like the breakdown. Quality over quantity!
The way I see it with Stidham is that if he's good that's awesome! If he's bad that's fine too cuz at least that should put us in the Trevor Lawrence conversation.
Shinbu1128 I don’t think bill bellichick will give a shit about 1 bad season when he had 20 years of dominance with Brady, and then he gets another 20 years with Lawrence. He would be remembered for his dynasties. Not 1 bad season.

I thought I was the only person that liked to drink gravy in cotton balls
Its actually a rootbeer topped with jaw breakers. Mans got sweet tooth
Every throw from a QB? This video's gonna be an hour long...and its 10 minutes
Well he was a backup 😂
He’s a backup playing in garbage time.
it would be the same for a Lamar Jackson video
@@is3hunnid QB School has a 40 minute video on him lol
Lol, that’s still insane
Jarrett Stidham is not Brady or his replacement .All you guys try to make every other QB feel intimidated like Brady use to do. He got rid of Jimmy G. Before he left so everyone would be pissed at Bill.
hes NOT tom brady, but somehow max kellerman thinks hes better XD
Thank god for cam
Patriots in trouble won't be scoring many points this season. Guess if they win only 5 or 6 games can maybe get Lawrence.
You have to see last year's preseason games for why Belichick thinks he has potential.
Thanks for the detailed analysis. Really shows the attention to detail to playcalling and execution needed at the NFL level.
Shhh don’t talk about Jarrett Stidham 🤫 We need people to think he’s trash so when he balls for us next year it blows everyone’s minds 🤯
Don't worry, looking in more detail at these throws won't change people's minds if they think he's trash.
he looks "raw". like u can see good things with him but he does need some work, dont know how well he will come out the first year of actual play but he does look like he will be a solid starter in the future
Stidham will win multiple super bowls in his career heard it here first he alread looks better than the likes of drew lick who everyone is on his nuts
Let's go, Stidham!! Beat the 49ers on Sunday!!!
😬 it will be interesting that's for sure

That last interception was critical and ugly.

Really go in on Jordan love. Is he a prodigy or is a very very poor mans Patrick Mahoney?
@@kimchi2780
That is the best assessment of Love I've seen. I agree. Drafting him in the so early was a mistake. Though I think the Herbert pick was even worse.
Not bad at all .... well , he has the KEYS to the LAMBO now. .
All the throws were an average depth of target of like 4 yards
How about one for all if his throws in 2020?
Doing his best Nathan Peterman impression
2nd one was clearly the receiver.
Anything less will just feel wrong to me.
that pick 6? no way Tua has the talent to pull that off
Bills, first round bye. Pats, Wild Card. Jets and Dolphins, same shit.
Lmao bills won’t be the best team in the AFC
Jacob Crilly just stop stfu
LFAO pats aren’t even getting a wildcard
Stinkham isn’t Brady and the Patriot’s offense isn’t going to scare anyone. I doubt the Pats win more than 7 games.
The pats would be lucky to even win 6 games.
So intrigued to watch Stidham play this year
I am to cause pats fans swear he’s elite
Owen tell that to last years pats bud
too many of his passes just float. he needs to put more zip into them. especially in bad weather.
That could be do his "lack of arm strength" and or mechanics.
Brady had worst throw last season
5:53 can't blame that on Stidham. Terrible playcall by an inconsistent playcaller McDaniels
O shut up. He wins rings. Im not even a pats fan just saying if u give him capable receivers he will turn it up. Shut up with your whining.
Nebuchadnezzar he missed both running backs on checkdowns on that one play
Gerome Manicia No trust me McDaniels is awful. Brady carried him. You’re not a pats fan try watching a few full games you’ll see how inconsistent he is.
@@Jacob-hy7do so why he still there then? Howd he win you them rings explain dat.
@@geromemanicia3809 I partially agree with you. But McDaniels had no success when he was out of NE, he's also there because he chose to stay.
What also is in play with Stidham is the RPO (Run-Pass Option).
Thanks for letting us know what the acronym means.
The Patriots now get to live out what the Jets, Dolphins, and Bills have been dealing with for 15 years. Inconsistent QB play. Enjoy, Pats fans, it's great.
That interception throw he could of threw it to the inside WR it would have to have a lot of power and accuracy to get there but its possible
The safety was playing the center of the field, there is 0% chance that's possible unless you are Mahomes.
Bill b will help him get better.
Liked the video thought
Wentz had a couple of weird throws like Stidham on that pick-6 to Adams #33. Just. A weird choke.
He threw four passes in the nfl and one of them was a pick six 😂😂😂
Well he had never played in the NFL before 😂
Looks immensely better than what I saw the Bengals backup QB Finley do last season, but that's not really saying much
Do josh dobbs next
huh...and he did so well during the preseason...regular season so much tougher...so he has a way to go, then...I would guess Bill B realizes that...which makes you wonder...
Rum and cola?
The way I see it with Stidham is that if he's good that's awesome! If he's bad that's fine too cuz at least that should put us in the Trevor Lawrence conversation.
Doesn't matter who is QB, a Belichick run team will never suck enough to get the 1st overall pick. I think 8-8 is the WORST case scenario.
Shinbu1128 I don’t think bill bellichick will give a shit about 1 bad season when he had 20 years of dominance with Brady, and then he gets another 20 years with Lawrence. He would be remembered for his dynasties. Not 1 bad season.
@@Shinbu1128 8-8 is the WORST case scenario? So worst case scenario, Stidham sucks and this team still gets to 8-8? With this schedule? Again, I am just quoting you saying "8-8 is the WORST case scenario"

Just discovered this channel and amazed on how good your work is! Im for sure subbing!
I understand that it's not real football, but he had a LOT of work in the pre-season.
if this guy doesnt do it for the pats, i bet they gonna tank for Trevor Lawrence
They’re playing with house money if it works it works we know it’s a rebuilding year
Your commentary of the pick 6 was hilarious man
You should analyze all of the back up QBs in the league and see which one is the best
Thanks for this JT!
You bet!
As usual, it was spot on analysis. This is what leads me to believe BB may end up going with Hoyer because of his experience. If he doesn't play well, then I see Stidham getting the nod.
Hes not going to be as good as brady but i think hes going to be pretty good
That pick 6 he made the right read probably got his adrenaline going
GingerBreadMan ! Why can’t it just be a bad throw and not make excuses for him? He can have a bad throw, it’s okay. All qbs have bad throws.
@@Colaa34 I'm not saying it's a good throw I'm just tryna give him a possible reason on what happened
Make video on how Bucs play.
How do you project him in comparison to Jacoby and Jimmy G?
Maybe on the pick 6 he thought it was another hitch??
I opened this and just figured it was a 39 second video.
JT, I know this is asking for a lot, but can you do a series where you rank every NFL starting QB over this offseason? That would be AWESOME.
nfl is to big for a kid - maybe he will grow into it maybe not
The throws are their but the timing is off and no repetitions in practice with the starters
