California was established a Free state in 1850, and before then Mexico ( California's origins) had made slavery illegal in California,.so California is exempt from being demanded to payout.

Actually, California honored the slave fugitive act, which returns runaways back to slave owners.. Also many slave owners signed indenture agreements with their slaves when in California. Yes slavery was still active

Here's an idea. 1 mil to each who can prove they were harmed. Then deduct any government assistance that has been received, since it was the tax payers that supported them since 1900. Anyone receiving funds is cut off from any government assistance going forward.

My Stone Age ancestor was kicked out of the cave and had to fend for himself. He almost starved to death. He also had to fight off wild animals by himself. He survived, but had lasting psychological problems as a result. I now want reparations. About 100 million dollars would do it. This is adjusted for inflation over the last millennium.

Ok, I get it but who will pay for this $800 billion..this is just CA and the budget of CA is only like $300 billion. My ancestors never owned slaves and were actually exploited and even enslaved by Spain yet being a Californian I may have to pay..what if they go back and find out who owned slaves in America or companies that benefited from slaves? Here's an idea. Actually, hold poeple accountable. Who voted against the civil rights act? Who used the National Guard to prevent integration? Key Capitalism understating...One, if not the most important task of Capitalism is the elimination of competitors/competition. Why stop there? We need to pay reparation to all Mexicans, South American illegals that were deprived of opportunities in America. The ones that are still south of the border but want to come here. Let's do average annual income in California vs Hondura, the difference multiplied by number of years the person had been trying to immigrate to America. O, let's add compound interest in here too, AND inflation adjusted. So 10 million per immigrant want to be sounds about right.
