What if the particular Tube station shuts down for track work? Broken escalator slows the pace? What if the area becomes even more popular, and the stations are crowded? You gotta let go a little, Frank.
Well if the track shuts down old Frank will be mad all over again! He is a tough customer that MUST get his way.
When he got rude with Phil saying they’d been through it 3 times I wanted to slap him!
Hanna and Frank are certifiable. Especially Frank.
Jay and Jason were much more likeable. I'm glad they found their home, and at a bargain price too.
The Brixton flat they were shown had a big Canadian flag in it but even more than that it had Montreal Canadiens hockey sweater in it. This Montréal girl spotted it right away during the fraction of a second it appeared on screen. Go Habs Go! 🇨🇦
@fotter9567Um, what? They’re nowhere near as bad as Frank. They had minimal complaints.
Love seeing that red and white flag, and totally agree; go Habs go!!
With that kind of rigidity, Frank might have a lot of trouble coping with fatherhood. I can foresee Hanna and future children walking on eggshells all the time - not a formula for a happy home.
Agree, god he’s so dull!!’
My thoughts exactly. Hanna is so positive and pleasant, she deserves better.
I felt that too, Hannah could do much better 😢
You're so right 🥺
Angry guy
Frank is a barrel of laughs isn't he , fun times ahead for Hanna!🙄
How Phil keeps it together is beyond me
How much you wanna bet they're divorced now lmao
@@gladitsnotmeif watching this programme gives an accurate insight into this man's character then I rather hope so
Probably why she stutters
Run! Hannah run! Frank will always want his own way.
He is an a whole
I would have thought for Hannah and Frank, if something has to give and it's clearly not the location, and if it usually can't be the price, then they might have looked at a two-bed and given up on a guest room.
Kirstie did a fab job with Jay and Jason. They got a great investment and a great deal that they never would have considered.
Glad they were all happy in the end!
Wow Frank was something else. Wonder how he'll deal with future issues. Kids?
For Phil fans:
Phil: You don't need me chasing you round the other bedrooms.
Kirstie: I dunno. Some people might be quite pleased!
I live abroad bereft of banter and innocent innuendo. It was so nice visiting the UK when I could afford it and exchanging hilarious banter with complete strangers!
a 1/2 mile will impact on the quality of life? I'm thinking a 10 - 15 minute longer walk from the station to a nice place in a quiet neighbourhood will be well worth it and will do a lot more for the quality of life than the busyness of something closer to the station
"Hopefully something will come up." Well, good luck with that Hannah. I would be looking for something on my own. (And for someone less controlling.)
Hope their finances are separate...
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am saving this for breakfast on Christmas day! I'll be on my own and THIS will make my day!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I SO appreciate these!
(I am stupidly happy to have this for Christmas...!).
All the very best for a lovely Christmas Day!
@@wackthegood8884 Thank you! You as well!
I hope you had a lovely Christmas 🎄 x
@@natashadavies9569 Thank you! That's so kind! (This was the highlight, I LOVE these! I was so happy to have one to watch. I think I've watched them all several times!).
I hope yours was lovely too! ❤
@@andreaandrea6716 too much food and drink but I had a lovely Christmas, thank you 💗. I particularly love watching these shows over breakfast or while doing the washing up
When I heard where Frank is from (and the combination with his job made it even worse!), I knew he was gonna be trouble and he didn't disappoint!
Mitcham is definitely a worse area than Morden. But he gets his 0.6 mile :))
Wow, I really thought there was going to be a fight there 🙈 very disconcerting. This is the first episode that I haven't enjoyed. Therapy.....therapy is always winner 😂
$18,000 over budget spent in the end - why didn't the couple just allow Kirstie to increase the budget in the first place, and find them something!? Hey, his job could change, company relocate...and all that folderol about commute time will have been a big waste of time.
Frank needs his head examined. Poor Hannah - Runaway while you can
❤ Loved the JJ's....Good health n happiness to all.....
Frank and Hanna are a clear example of unrealistic expectations for their budget
I can always count on this great channel to give us this great show! Thank you and much appreciation.
Poor Hannah, trying to cover for Frank's 0.6! Good luck Hannah, hope you like whatever he settles on!😊
Dutch analyst says it all.🤣
He has no Dutch mentality at all!
thank you for posting Kirsty and Phil - I simply adore this show and look forward to watching all the episodes
I can't believe that 24 minutes of walking has a huge negative impact on quality of life. This guy doesn't have a first-world problem. He IS one. He's so annoying I'd actually like to see him get a house that doesn't require him to walk, and then lose his job and have to take another with a three-hour communte. Jobs aren't forever. He's probably working from home by now.
Completely agree
2024 Living in New Zealand 🇳🇿 UK🇬🇧Success 9 years ago Kirstie. The young couple then with their new
home it would be interesting to know their present day situation. Congratulations all round❤...😊
I wish Phil would have just shown hanna and frank what it takes to live in their desired location...either less space or a bigger budget that may have helped given them a reality check!
I think they did do that but for whatever reason they decided to edit it out of the episode.
Kirstie and Phil are so good.Although it is an old episode, love them and the Morden house is so spacious and nice in a decent neighbourhood..getting a car would be much more feasible it seems. 😊 XO
The crazy thing is if cranky Frank had confirmed they could drum up an extra £18k - which is what Phil advised houses near the station command as a 5% on top of their budget - Phil would probably have found them 3 brilliant options they would not have found themselves for the larger budget. They're probably miserable now!
This was a nice episode, I do think I understand Frank, some people esp analytical brains can't budge mentally when it comes to what they have in mind. Although, not every situation is the same I do think its good to know your own mind and to hold out for what you really want.
That’s fine, as long as you’re willing to increase your budget.
Probably best if they don't have children in the future 🤷
Good grief, who wouldn't walk half a mile to save £50k? ... and an extra 10mins walk having a negative impact on his quality of life??
He is lazy and unfit
its an exta 10/12 mins twice a day - that could be almost 2h a week extra and when you're commute after the train can be more I get it. Mine is 20 mins walk to station, 40 min train and then 15 mins walk from station. I'd love to save an extra 10/15 mins off that initial walk.
He could get a bike
@@AD-53 so could i, but im never riding a bike out here, id be dead within the year.
@@AD-53 also who wants to arrive to work sweaty? its bad enough in the summer.
If they would’ve given Phil the extra 18,000 pounds to their budget, he could’ve found it!
Frank seems like an abusive person. I am concerned for Hannah, sometimes people with a ‘disability’ think they should put up with an abusive partner because that’s all they deserve. When she started talking for both of them during the end discussion with Phil, she looked like a codependent spouse of a narcissistic man making excuses for him and not wanting him to speak because she’s afraid he will embarrass her and fly into a rage, she’s trying to control the encounter like she would with a small child so he doesn’t rage at Phil. Sad.
Oh please. 🙄
Nail on head! That thought most definitely occurred to me in their exchange. Who doesn't see it is blind and probably narcissistic.
I thought exactly the same.
Hannah and Frank are Classic Nerd's-A speech challenge for Hannah didn't make her weak she had uber Intelligence and strength, Expose yourself to intellectuals more often peep's, I'm on the spectrum, I have iron clad routine, my hubby is a hyper genius who teaches himself how to do things constantly, we argue and debate so loud we shake our street , my husband corrects people who may remark on my delivery-I correct people who may get upset at my hubby's delivery- can't imagine what silly assumptions you'd make about us. You people obviously haven't worked or socialized with gifted people.
@@micherunnett5492Frank ain’t gifted, he’s an asshole.
As a born & bred Clapham Londoner, I get his reluctance to deal with London Transport. Non -Londoners cannot understand that a bus to the train is a nightmare in the making and a scooter is a ridiculous idea with lack of parking places by the the tube. My BF used to cycle into work, but these days that might be taking your life in your hands. That said, you could not pay me to live in Morden or Mitcham - why didn't they show places in Streatham which has plentiful buses and 2 train stations? ALSO Streatham used to be much more vibrant than Brixton, with Ice rink, 2 cinemas, bowling alley and the Cat's Whiskers nightclub.
Yes!! Well said. Having lived in Paris and having had to do the 'bus to metro,' switching from one to the other, every day, I absolutely understand his reticence! When you've done it, spending days in the pouring rain waiting for a bus that doesn't come... Ugh! then you KNOW! People who have NOT had to do this (in all sorts of weather) haven't a leg to stand on!
You do know Kirstie’s background right?…. Plus houses in Streatham are far out of their measles 450k budget
Frank and Hannah raised their budget by 20k pounds, to find their dream house. If they'd given that higher budget to Phil, he'd have found it.
Don’t think so, because Frank is a control freak, couldn’t admit that someone else is better 🙄
Aww! Love the cute young couple!
I'm not sure why so many couples are so worried about distance to work. With the frequency of changing jobs, I would not base a home choice only on distance to work.
Just think if he actually walked that extra distance he’d be better fit in less than six months!
Phil certainly earned his money dealing with Frank. Their body language at times suggests to me there were other tense moments that weren't shown. Frank comes across as very controlling. Poor Hannah.
And Jay and Jay - how long is that relationship going to last? They acted more like teenagers.
Not a good assessment of J&J. They're just young and in love.
@@dennisyeboah9861they really didn't make a great first impression but they are very young at this point and that leaves a lot of room for personal development. I liked seeing them happy
Frank actually disgusts me. Hannah RUN
Ben! You are your dad and all those who helped you with this project. You are all Amazing. Well done, stepping out to help all those you bless.
Analyst is a tool. After 50+ views, the one issue they have in common for not working is him!!! You need to show him exactly what it costs based on his guidelines or tell him that he’s shit out of luck and he needs to get over himself. His logic is not logical. He wants to be right and not happy. She should be running away from him.
I got bad vibes too.
I pity Phil... This episode irritated me so much... Frank is an idiot... Analyst but doesn't understand that they can't save fast enough...
Yes when I heard "Dutch analyst" I thought oh that explains it.
I am sorry to say, I knew how it would go... The Dutch try to save pennies on everything! I should know, unfortunately I'm one of them... Not that much on the penny though!
Jason, you go on TV and put down the woman you 'love' about her education???
Understand why everyone is pissed off at Frank but to play devil's advocate I think he knows what he wants and has considered compromise but not willing to compromise. Mind you this was probably shot before COVID and he had to commute in everyday to central London. can't blame him either for not wanting to walk an extra 10 mins on top 11-14 mins inn the morning and evening. it is a lot to be fair.
Agree his behaviour may have been stand offish, he's probably not the sort of person who can be convinced otherwise after he's already said no to something so maybe that was frustrating for him.
Finally, please don't come for me lol, I agree with all of you.
Frank has to be one of the most inflexible clients ever.
Good luck Hannah 😬
Great video. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🩵💚🥰🤗
Frank, walk a little farther. You can use the exercise. Both couples are unrealistic and picky. Thanks for posting.
They are right to be picky as they were shown properties in very undesirable parts of SW London which haven’t improved a tad since the show was filmed!
Well, that episod was quite unusual and tense at times to say the least. Frankly, Hannah and Franck appear to be autistic in the way they behave, to me. Phil was very careful in the way he talked to them both. They didn't accept when Phil asked to raise their budget, they prefered that decision to be their own, which they finally took, £18,000 is a lot of money! Anyway, they found their house at the end, so good for them. The JJs made a good bargain! Thanks for posting, I enjoy P&K.
Thank you !
2015. I scrolled to the end so you don’t have to.
Is it just me, or is it the men who are almost always the PITA? Frank's commute OCD made me think of the unforgettable Andrew and his commute OCD from way back. I think Frank is worse, with that stop watch ticking in his myopic mind. The flexibility of a slab of concrete.
No, there have been females who were just as bad.
@@thehungrygoldfish Of course, and why I said almost always. But the men's priorities are so often eye-rolling ridiculous.
Hannah and Frank win the award for biggest idjits ever on this show. If he's so lazy, why doesn't he just buy a car?? You can get a decent enough car for $5k and then he wouldn't have to worry about breaking a sweat. Imagine turning down amazing houses so you can pay $18,000 over budget for probably a smaller space. 🤯
Or he could buy a bicycle!
I could NOT believe he wouldn't walk ten minutes more each way. What on earth is WRONG with him ?
Habs represented ! #Montreal
If you're looking in central London, it's reasonable to want to be near public transportation that comes frequently enough that you don't need to consult the schedule.
What a sweetie she is.
My kids live in Coventry and rent a 3 bdrm mid terrace .its a narrow but lovely little house . I’m wondering if they should call Christie and Phil for help in purchasing. I live in Canada .
Poor Hannah! She's going to spend her life stretching to make inflexible Frank happy, which won't work. I honestly think he's on the autism spectrum. 😢
Franck about lost his sh x t at the end.... lol. How embarrassing on public TV.
Honestly, I’ve seen worse lol.
Frank is unbearable. In 2020 everybody worked at home with more flexible working arrangements and opportunities for home office etc. They should’ve gone for the Morden property, it was awesome. I hope Hannah is ok.
I feel sorry for Hannah
Hard to be respectful about Frank!!
Anyone who’s commuted for 2 hours a day would get his demand.
Yep, commutes can be mind numbing.
Hanna is heading for a difficult life, she should not marry this person.
Are Hannah and Frank still together?
At this rate maybe Frank will be wanting 1.6 kids 😮
😢get a skateboard Frank you are not handicapped 😢
Hanna's last little speach was so fake.
*Many people take a bus that drops them off at their nearest train station and don't necessarily get obsessed with being too close to a train station.*
Maybe Jason feels ambivalent about settling down and buying a house.
Whoa..this is like the 20 something year old that says," If only the seniors would give up their home we would be able to find an investment house to buy." He was complaining that we seniors (who have worked our entire lives to buy and maintain our family home" as if we were hoarding our houses just to keep him from finding one to buy. DUH....I sacrificed and sweated blood, sweat and tears to buy and keep this house. This is MY home young man - BACK OFF!
Frank not well liked, sadly!
To each his own...
I would have to have an outside space
This brudda is actually lost
Frank is doing my head in!!!!!! My goodness! You are a flipping web analyst who'll most likely WFH majority of the week. Ughhhhhh
Like most of these couples that ask Kirsty and Phil to help them. Its not not finding the property that's the problem but usually the man doesn't want to commit and not finding the perfect place is the excuse they use to stay floating. Fkkking annoying...
Frank's assuming he'll be at the same job forever.
Frank seems quite lazy!
Frank needs to buy a bike.
Phil is such a cutie
:Hilrious how people today think material things are necessary to the biggest step which is committing to one another. That should come first. Then the rest will follow. My parents didn't own their own hope til I was 10.
£365k is NOTHING in that area.
The analyst has a perfect out he doesn't want to commit. He has found the perfect excuse I can't walk another 100m to the tube. He wants out
How about a bike? Makes 1 mile a breeze
Bit of a potential death trap in London. He could just walk a bit more briskly, might work wonders on his moodiness.
Frank is a jackass....if I were Hannah I'd leave him....
Wow frank was kinda rude… how can you live like that
Kirstie was especially b^tchy is this one toward her clients
Well it was mentioned several times that the couple argues quite a bit. We only saw a bit and we don’t know how much the couple were arguing as that portion was cut from the film.
Drop house budget and buy a car
Seriously? Walking a bit extra? Kind of lame.
An ex council house for £450k 😂. Then end of the world is here 😂
Well, it’s a lot more expensive now lol. This episode aired nearly ten years ago.
It's probably nearly double that now
I have watched a considerable amount of these videos and I have to say Kirstie seems to be rather irritable and impatient with the J's. More so than any of the other house hunters!
Frank is annoying me
1/4 off a mile is ( 2 times a day);bad for the quality off life?
Whaaat?
Taking a long sh@t takes more time! What a assssss
Its foolish to "put down roots before you get married." That's how people who should never have got married end up stuck with someone they would never have committed to if they hadn't started living together. Never live together or buy a home together without a permanent commitment to each other in place first. Living together before marriage has made the divorce rate skyrocket. All the research proves that living together before marriage increases the likelihood of drifting into marriage as an inevitability not a choice, instead of knowing you're with the right person, committing formally, then getting on with life with someone you already know you're committed to for life. Committing to property before commiting to the other person is a recipe for divorce.
I disagree. I think by buying a home together shows commitment. I don't think signing a marriage license guarantees anything. I lived with my partner for years before marriage, and we've been married now for 33 years.
Could not disagree more. People in my parents generation (I'm gen x) got married and were stuck because they then had children and couldn't afford to separate. If you live with someone you get to know what you're signing up for. Personally I think that If divorce rates are going up then that means less unhappy people are staying trapped. And yes, I'm very happy with the financial ability to leave and a partner I love to bits and have for well over a decade.
True
They spend too much time on the set up.
Jay and Jason should separate immediately!
And you think Frank and Hannah should stay together? Frank looks like he’s going to beat her lol
Why is this Frank guy so lazy??? Honestly, he doesn’t look a day below 50. Perhaps a bit of a walk twice a day would do him good!
That guys I’m sorry to say it but a bit of an arse!
The lady realtor appeared very rude and Inpatient with the young couple. I would have dropped her as my agent.
Kirsty? She's just very direct, not rude and inpatient! Ever saw this show before?!
She's not a realtor - she's a tv presenter with experience in 'property finding' (Phil is the same). (replying to mary here not renate but it's popped out under the wrong one..)
@@BritGirlJay No problem, that's YT 🤣. And I know you are right, but because they are the only once you see, I assumed she means Kirstie. I love this show!
