It was a tradition at my house circa 1970's whenever a Peter Sellers movie came on the "TV" my mom and I would watch it. We never laughed so hard. She would have loved seeing the bloopers.
Inspector Clouseau was a small role in "The Pink Panther". When Peter Sellers got off the plane in Paris, he was in character. Before the film was released, Blake Edwards had already started writing the script for "A Shot in the Dark". He had lightning in a bottle and knew it.
He died in July of 1980, we were camping with friends when the news of his death was broadcast. We all stood up around the campfire, and gave a moment of silence in his memory. We had been drinking a bit. Lol He was a wonderful actor, a great comedian and he made us laugh. He was a genius. His films are truly a joy to watch. “…….that is not my dog”! RIP
it;s a interesting to watch every pink panther film as peter sellers added every time to his preformanse to make it even better then the last film he played the character.
Never laughed so hard as I did years ago in a theater when watching The Return of the Pink Panther with my sister. We laughed so much we thought that we may be thrown out of the movie theater. We both loved Peter Sellers and cried when we heard he died.
I'm thankful that Blake Edwards kept the raw footage. Most directors would just throw every unused bit in the garbage. This is also the reason how the Trail of the Pink Panther was completed.
Peter sellers was one of a kind such a fantastic actor and still to this day a pleasure to watch. No one I can think of comes close to his comedic ability what a Legend. Steve Martin is funny but just NO! sorry, leave the pink panther alone in future!!!! Please
gene wilder, peter sellers, steve martin… even when being serious they are funny. unlike will farrell. that guy aint funny even when trying to be funny.
One of the sources of humor, apparently, for European audiences, is the absolute deadpan of the actor Graham Stark, who played Hercule whilst suffering from Clouseau's pretentiousness in summing up the case. It would have been interesting to see if Stark actually allowed himself to laugh during that outtake.
Thanks for the upload! I was looking to archive these outtakes on the Internet Archive, and the only way I can access these is on the Blu-ray (I don’t even know how to make a transfer from there), so it’s refreshing to see somebody has somehow made this available online - assuming this doesn’t get taken down for copyright.
Does this channel have the series of TWA commercials Peter did? I am haunted by his American character, every sentence punctuated by a lateral fist pump and forced chuckle.
The art in it's purest form
I love the deep gentlemanly voice of George Sanders
...🤨He has a whole library of outtakes? Wish we could see them ALL🤗. Brilliant post!❤Bravo

This is amazing. Sellers was a genius

Rest in paradise, Blake. So many laughs through the decades.
Victor/Victoria was my favorite.

I think it is one of the great gifts you can give anybody. To make them laugh. It is literally impossible to be sad or depressed while laughing.
@@jon-francis9289 - Very true.
Great point you make. Thank you.
Great upload thx!
What a treat to see George Sanders giggling as well. He had a hard time toward the end. These moments must have been bright points for him.

God, I've been looking for these bloopers since 2016, especially Clouseau's deleted report after being accused in public nudity!
Thank you so much!

Ditto. 😉👍🏼👍🏼
I love watching George Sanders break up . Never get to see that side of him.

I loved the way Sellers' Clouseau always mangled certain words (or should that read "Mangueled" words?!). ;)
Wonderful upload, as always! Thank you 👍
George Sanders laughing. Brilliant. What a tragic end though.
I always wondered how George Sanders could kept a straight face at all the Clouseau s antics. Well, he couldn't.
Just brilliant. The D too for printing each
Pure joy.😊
This brought me to tears laughing. Woe for anyone who could keep a straight face.
Hard to believe Peter Sellars died at just age 54.
They must have had many takes before the film was finished
even though these are outtakes, they still show great comedy in film which doesnt exist anymore. sad.
Sellers was brilliant but supposedly an absolute monster to work with.
Read the biography

I love Will and think he's funny as hell.

Many actors try to stay in character when others mess up. It would be difficult around Sellers. He was a fabulous comedian.
The best 😂😂😂

"Merths" ... 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Graham Stark was Sellers best foil. 60 years on, it's still brilliant.

The obvious effects of the dreaded Lurggi.
It's such a shame Peter Sellers never got to play Walt Disney in a film...!
😶
What?
Uh - in view of the s***hole Disney has become...
@@markmaki4460 I'm just saying it would've been spot on casting choice.
❤🎉❤
Zuckerberg looks like him if he had a moustache.
Möths !
His laugh..
We must find that woman...
