Hutch the people in the military with no daily ties would instantly just become a paramilitary just taking stuff from whoever they could
National guard would be a big problem. Active service bases would probably become micro-nations with varying levels of order. It’s very likely anyone who isn’t a doctor or current member of the military would be doing labor.

Thinking that it’s even possible to have “4k images” of planets hundreds or millions of light years away because of “lens improvements” is maybe one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard someone trying to sound smart say… 99% of images nasa produces today are photoshop / ai generated “hypotheticals” depicting what we think the radio wave imagine data should look like to the human eye (often accuracy is of much less import in constructing these images than awe factor - colors are altered to make images more appealing or interesting) 😊… we’ve never “seen” anything outside the solar system except for the few satelite images, which are also altered for beautification purposes … primarily the methodology is to capture ultraviolet and radiowave data (not an image but a cluster of information) and then attempt to translate that information into something that we think looks like what we believe it should look like according to our other data (it’s actually all very unscientific if you think about it) , but it’s basically all assumed; you can’t really “see” that far through space even tho it’s a vacuum because it’s a vacuum that has a lot of fucking dust floating around all over the place and images can’t be captured through that particulate fog, distance only exacerbates these issues.

I have to disagree, no one should fear death but everyone should fear suffering. Dying peacefully in your sleep is the best death a human can hope for.
I agree. It's way better than dying slowly, from sickness or in pain.
Having said that, there have been several times now where i nearly died in my sleep. I could see everything around me, was screaming for help while i felt breathing getting shorter and shorter, to the point of suffocating. 2 of those times i think i didnt die because the person next to me heard me moan and woke me up by shaking me.
Another time i tried "locking" with my body by laying but wasn't working. I went into the bathroom, loooked at myself in the mirror and i was like the T-1000 in terminator but looked like water or glass and i adopted the bathroom tiles colors, like i was a chameleon. Such a panic like experience. Still better than most options tho.
Btw: no, i dont use drugs, mushrooms, nor drink😂 This has really happened to me. I have suffered from insomnia my whole life tho.
