The problem with zorah was he is the only siege boss you never got to fight. Lao shun you fought gogmazio you fought dalamaladur you fought jhen Mohran you fought zorah was just lazy design tbh.

None of those monster were big as zoarah… you can’t throw hands with a mountain🤣of course there better ways to design the siege like have you flying then on the ground chipping at certain spots, etc… but fighting like gog and the rest is crazy.
I think most monsters should be kept secret till the game comes out and people get to experience it but showing a few helps hype it up
I'm genuinely not happy about them showing all the monsters pre release... To me discovering them in game is a huge hype factor and that's why i'll be trying to avoid any information about the game until I play it
2:47 While the roadmap here is most likely a fake. You got to give credit they made Monster Hunter Wilds Cataclysm look pretty interesting. The logo/title of it alone makes me curious.
The only thing making me think it's fake is that it's planned to launch 1 year after wilds releases.
I don't think that's realistic since dident both sunbreak and iceborn take 2 years?
My only reasoning for why it would be 1 year is:
1. Either they are gonna release more than 1 dlc which I don't buy because what would come after master rank
2. They wanna get to portable 6th and that dlc earlier and thus also to the 7th gen earlier. My reasoning for this is that when wilds releases the 5th gen would have taken about 8 years to end. This 1 gen has taken almost half the time that the series has existed and capcom might not be happy with them taking so long. Maybe they want to aim for closer to a 5 year/gen schedule since that's still a reasonable amount of time between games
There no way its real if the were able to have all those launch dates right. No they had sun breaks release date at the same time the had dragons dogmas. Low effort fake.
@@Forest9528 depends on the size of the dlc it might not be a massive region like iceborne was as wilds is already a massive open world supposedly and it could be just fleshing out the current world with new monsters resources difficulty and story/quest elements.
id be content with them doing smaller DLC's if it added big replayability like new weapons types... do 3 smaller dlcs for weapon types then top it off with a difficulty spike and new monsters. a new region would be wasted time tbh since it will likely have most regions in the base game that u usually get.

Hey I think its worth mentioning that the Admiral Voice Actor is currently working on some "secret" project. Obviously this is a stretch to believe it's wilds, however the connection to monster hunter and the timing is pretty spot on. I do also believe he is working on Wilds because we know the weapon asset artist is returning from world, what are the odds they won't bring back old voice actors? and another point being wilds seems very very similar world, it could be a genuine sequal to world
Open world does not equal good. Folks need to get that in their heads. Being bombarded with lots of meaningless micro tasks and endlessly empty space is not enjoyable.
It really depends on the type of Game. Not saying I don't agree with you, but Monster Hunter always had hub villages. So I'm assuming the hunting Maps will be filled endemic life, New Monster Patterns, and possibly beyond 3 Map Monsters
It can be good though. It really depends on how it’s handled and what options we have in the game. If everything requires a long journey to fight a monster that might not be ideal, but if we have the option to do essentially one giant never ending expedition that could be great. After how they handled the environments in World I’m confident the team could make open world fantastic for MH. The best solution is if it’s open world with options to kind of shorten the distance for players that don’t really want that experience. Then you can have the open world with the same quest by quest standard gameplay we have always had. After a quest maybe you get the option to teleport back to a town, ride to the town, or keep hunting in an open world. Everyone wins that way
I dont mind finding out which returning monster will be in a title, but save the new monster to be discovered when we play it for the first time. Maybe show off one or two if youre going to market the game with them, similarly to how Anjanath got some pre-release hype and attention.

its not so much as the obvious quality upgrade of the skins we were able to get with microtransactions in rise but rather the fact that events were cannibalized in favor of microtransactions
and the thought that this trend will continue with wilds is scary
I have not upset by there being paid DLC in Wilds, as long as it sticks to the World model. No game changing stuff and there are other cosmetics in the game to earn.
I also like to know some of the monsters that are coming. Most of the time the monster list is what makes me want a monster hunter game.
I trust Capcom, they know how to treat this series right. Like Resident Evil.
I personally enjoy a surprise in game, so I don't want a full roster reveal. The Flagship to be hyped about, yes. The rest can be left for discovery.
I hope they add monster climbing to MH. Maybe with some utility equipment.

I do wish less monsters were revealed prior to release. I like the excitement of going in blind. I might try and avoid future trailers for Wilds for that reason, if I can muster the discipline for it lol
Given that the graphic fidelity is a small leap from MHW, I am hoping you can play in the world like you can in Tears of the Kingdom, which was less about super high end art style and instead had a very rich world. A world full of life and interactivity. Even a field of grass and trees can have several interactions in ToTK and heres hoping we get a MH spin to that sort of concept.
I want Zorah Magdaros to return but in the siege, we actually break it's shell and slay it

You could run Monster Hunter World on a potato thanks to the amazing optimization they have done for the PC port. I assume they will do the same for Monster Hunter Wilds so don't worry.

@@tobiasschaffler1498 we likely won't get a demo this year, the demos are often super close to release, usually by a few weeks to a month, and we know Wilds isn't releasing until some unknown time in 2025 so unless its releasing in January I imagine a demo won't be happening this year.

True. Just imagine traversing map more open than the ancient forest. That map alone is pain in the ass when searching for the monster

I wish theyd reveal less monsters and reveal more gameplay. I don’t particularly care what I’m going to fight and in fact I’d rather not know so I can find out organically, but I do care what the tracking system will be (if any), for example.

I fully buy that screenshot that says wilds will launch March 2025 and thats what im expecting tbh. Im not expecting the game to get delayed because its already been in development longer than any other capcom game in their history from what ive seen. The DLC is the only think making me doubt weather its legit or not. I buy that itll be called Cataclism but no way it releases only 1 year after base game UNLESS they do multiple DLC which i dont see them doing. Both iceborn and sunbreak released after 2 years IIRC (sunbreak may have only been 1 year but i dont exactly remember). I do guess though that maybe they could do it so that they could release the portable 6th gen earlier and by extension the 7th gen game earlier because 5th gen will have been going for like 8 years when wilds releases and maybe they dont want the gens to be going for that long. Maybe aim for a 5 year/gen plan

I have never purchased a micro-transaction and never will. I loved World/Iceborne, Rise/Sunbreak, and Dragon’s Dogma 1 and 2. As far as I am concerned Capcom can put in a million dollars worth of micro-transactions so long as they continue to make games that I can love while ignoring them.
i prefer to know in advance what to expect, like that i can begin to make a "to do list" and see the element i will need to prioritise asap. I wonder if the palico will only serve as some kind of vendor, we don't have any info if we got one with us or not :/
I think the palico will be there, I think they just didn't have it in the trailer to give it more mystery on what game was being shown (as the palico would've instantly given it away). The very first Monster Hunter World trailer also excluded the palico, but we still got them in the game.

I'm ok with microtransactions as long as is not armor and weapons, so basically Rise did it badly for me, I prefer the World approach with cosmetics that don't affect your hunter, they were mostly for the handler, your room etc. The haircut and tattoo ones are okay but armor and weapons for you or your companion, nah man they lost me there.

If they kept it as a mechanic and got rid of the chore to tenderize so you don't lose DPS.. I could be down with it.

100% no claw please! Or at the very least fix the clagger mechanics and then fully remove the tenderizing. Tenderizing is not fun and just adds a tedious chore to the gameplay

I’m concerned after the recent Capcom USA localization crap and the issues surrounding DD2. Please don’t make Wilds woke Capcom! Also please no / minimal micro transactions.
I’d prefer no microtransactions, but the ones in World weren’t too bad. Still, it’s kinda dumb when you saw another player with some cool gear then realize it’s not a layered armor from an event quest or something, it’s paid content. I’ll never forget seeing a player with the LS Tenebra in Tri U then going to find the event quest that granted it and grinding for it. Such an awesome reward I found from playing and learning from a random online player. Paid content cheapens that sort of gameplay

I could care less what they put in, just give us the anime event quests back. What keeps longevity in this series is the amount of minor costume content they put in. I don’t want to grind the same quest 5 times for a pair of earphones. I want to grind the same quest 15 times to look like Link from LoZ.

I don't remotely care about MTX in Monster Hunter. World and Rise both had a ton. I never touched it. The Japanese players all had it. Doesn't affect me.
This might be a hot take, but when the microtransactions happened in Iceborne and Sunbreak, I didn’t mind or care. Hear me out… I’m not saying I want them to do this or that they should do them. I feel the opposite actually.
However, I was greatly satisfied and happy with the content I had been given. The product of the games was great and so when purchasing cosmetic items I was more than happy to because I felt like the team would be using our money to create even more great products down the line. If I felt the games weren’t great or worth my money I would have never paid for anything else.
I care only if it comes for the next Nintendo console. Hate playing only at home.
Open world doesn't sound good
I’ll never understand the problem of micro transactions in MH. It’s all cosmetic. It only changes the look of your armor and weapons. They even have it in a way where you can buy individual pieces of the pack rather than the entire pack itself which is a good option choice. Now, if the cosmetics packs are like $27-30 plus and/or they granted bonuses like +attack and +affinity on armor or weapons, then we’d have a problem.
P.S. Zorah Magdaros Siege is actually good, it’s the best siege, in the opinion and the best way to fight something that huge. My only gripe is that the NPC hunters don’t do anything. It’d be cool if there was more hunters on deck and they actually fired their own cannons and ballistas.
Thing is that historically these cosmetics have been obtainable through gameplay in event quests and events... So basically they're sacrificing some gameplay for microtransactions. Also full priced games don't need any of that BS
Give companies an inch by buying small microtransactions and they'll very soon take a mile... this has been proven time and time again. Capcom is also a rather greedy company when it comes to things like this, the only microtransactions I'd tolerate existing would be buying special decorations or music for your room like in world.
My reply to what you guys brought up is simply and collectively not buy what expensive product they offered. That’ll either force them to reduce price or miraculously drop pricing altogether. Our money holds their future. But, you know, easier than said than done and not everyone’s situation is the same. I feel y’all tho, some pricing is ridiculous, it’d be outstanding to earn it through gameplay and I forgot they price the music, but it is what it is and it is greed. We can’t stop that unless we stand up to it. Until then, I’m buying bits and pieces of what I want and the expansion. I agree with y’all tho, 100%.
