Was at Kessler August , 2A1X3 comm / nav, summer 2000. Took me back . Nice video. Reminded me how it felt to be there . Great experience . Air force for life ...
Thank you! It's called a Hyperlapse, basically a time lapse but you move and take a picture of a single point on an object, there's a lot of tutorials on UA-cam!
Since I went in Open Electronics, you basically get a list of choices of jobs that you want and they have a little booklet with descriptions. You then pick from a list of jobs the Air Force currently needs and number them from 1 to 12 based on which one you want most. RF Trans was my number 3 behind Client Systems 3D1X1, and Cyber Transport Systems 3D1X2. I got my 3rd choice and I'm loving it everyday.
im headed to keesler in October and this is by far the best video ive seen from someone in the airforce yet. keep up the good work bro! if we ever cross paths we should link up and shoot something!
It's roughly 6 months long but you'll likely be there longer. I was there for 7 total. Just study lightly, don't get too comfortable, save money, go off base and enjoy Biloxi once in awhile. A lot of people fail out of the course oddly enough, just put in the effort and you'll do fine. Also you'll be in the 338th TRS you'll have some awesome MTLs there who will help you out in anyway you may need. Any more information don't hesitate to message me!
Yes! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Unless the MTLs made any new rules, you're perfectly allowed to do this as long as you don't film the flightline. I got approached by ropes all the time but I had the MTLs and the AFI on my side :)
BOOOOO false hype! This had me so excited for that hell hole, would have sooner done basic 3 more times than be stuck in the flay trap of ever constricting freedoms and class wait lists that was Keesler AFB(336 trs in particular). Excellent video though.
Holy Shit! Looks completely different from early 1969 when I went though ground radio tech course there. We damn sure did not live like the young enlisted people of today do. But won't bore readers about the "good old days."
I'm usually good at academics if I put my mind to it. I studied for my asvab all by myself (made a schedule and stuck to it) sacrificed hanging out with friends and video games for about 2 months. Took it made an afqt of 68 with an electronic score of 81!! So yeah I can put in the grind just have to find the right mindset first and realize how bad I want it :)

Randomly showed up in my feed. I was the drill down lead for 335 for that drill down.
I need to know what procedure and processes you did to make the shot @ 2:05. Absolutely amazing video!

I was thinking it was that but you made it look so well and smooth. Great job!
Great video - it brings back a lot of memories of the summer of 2001 when I was in Tech School there.
This was actually really well made man, good job. I went through Cyber Transport tech school from Mar-Sept 2015.
Thanks! I wanted Cyber Transport so bad but I got put in RF trans. I love it so far though.
Hey Gavin, why did you get put into RF trans? was it because of the asvab score or do they forcibly put you into whatever afsc they wanted?

Im going into basic in january and then going to Keesler for Cyber Transport Systems too
Same here!

That's my job haha. You have a long tech school. Not easy either, but as long as you put in the effort you'll do great!
Gavin oh snap, how long is it exactly? Got any tips or advice anything for me ?

I do remember you! Thanks man! Hoping to get better at it. I do miss some of the people at tech school and this defiantly brings me back
I was there in 1972. The guys look the same but the base didn't look like this.
Nice video! I like the smooth transistions and good choice in music as well! May I ask what how this remix is called?
Yentertainer Thanks!! The remix is called Halsey - Gasoline (Oscars remix)
Gavin thanks! keep making videos, i'd love to see more :)
drone footage was amazing, the whole video was.
quick question, were you allowed to film at keesler? Just asking because Im thinking of doing the same
Yes! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Unless the MTLs made any new rules, you're perfectly allowed to do this as long as you don't film the flightline. I got approached by ropes all the time but I had the MTLs and the AFI on my side :)
Shit was dope. I ship out 10.Oct 2017 then off to Keesler
I've been with Gavin since Tech school (10ish months) and we are both stationed out at Ramstein. Enjoy it man. Its a fun ride!
What song is this

Hahahaha I respect that so much, tech school sucked so much for the most part. For me it was the people I met that made it worth it!
Song?
Halsey - Gasoline (Oscar's Remix)
I've been here in 1985 , very nice place.

I was there in 1962. Much different then.

Amazing
Thank you!
Is tech school for this afsc hard ?
Benjamin Molden Depends how good you are at academics. It was pretty rough at some points but if you study you'll do great
