Yes, I have found that going down a size in Judy Blue and up a size Good American is a good rule of thumb.
since these have so much elastic, are you constantly pulling them up? Do you need to wear a belt with these?
Not at all! That's a great question and I wish I'd have thought to mention it... but I have not had that happen with mine :)
