    You can tell he's a marine, the speed he changed the positions and obeyed to commands is just proof.

    Her way of engaging onto the patient shows that she's full of confidence and maybe her experience and expertise helped her in that way. Respect, ma'am.

      I always ask my patients to undress to their underwear at the first session. I want to see their spine and if there’s any misalignments, I also check for any irregular spots on the back. If I find anything I refer them to a specialist.

      @taoist32 6 років тому +47

      Dr. Kamilla Holst I’ve worked for chiropractors and the only time patients take their shirt off is for x rays and the first adjustment while wearing a gown, not completely bare chested as in this video. However, every doctor does it differently.

  • @p.t.5006

    For some reason... I've never needed a chiropractor, I can perfectly adjust my back and neck really well... Just my turning my neck calmly and really quickly to the left and right. Same thing with my back. I stretch my arms wide open and out then I turned very calmly and quickly, the key is to loosen up while doing this. I've visited a chiropractor before and even he found it to impressive lol. I've met a few others that can do the same but never force it as you could end up really hurting yourself that's what the Doc told me.

    I know I would need to see a chiropractor but I'm afraid. Is it painful or dangerous ?????

    • @drkamillaholst
      @drkamillaholst  5 років тому

      A lot of people tell me they are a bit afraid the first time they see a chiropractor so was I when I had my first treatment, I think it is a normal response.
      The treatment doesn't hurt and if you see strained practitioner it should be VERY safe.
      You are 5 times more likely to be struck by lightening than have any adverse effects from chiropractic.

    • @drkamillaholst
      @drkamillaholst  5 років тому +1

      It really depends on the condition of your spine. Some of my patients see me 1 x month proactively out of their own choice so they can function on an optimal level. I get adjusted maybe every 2 weeks, bit everyone is different and you should do it as often as it suits you and your lifestyle. You don't have to be in pain to get an adjustment it can just be to feel better overall in your body.
      Hope that helps :)

    • @drkamillaholst
      @drkamillaholst  5 років тому

      Shoulder problems is definitely something we can fix depending on what is the underlying issue. Make sure you see a shoulder specialist chiropractor that knows what they're doing and try some Shockwave treatments, that's what I would treat shoulder pain with, but also do an ultrasound to see if any of your tendons have been damaged.

      You need to look up an internationally approved University to study Chiropractic and you need a good mathematical background before applying.
      It also very much depends on where in the world you live, you might have to study abroad.
      Hope that helps :)

      @drkamillaholst  5 років тому

      Hi there Jason
      It's very hard for me to say over UA-cam not having seen your particular X-rays. I do adjust on patients (Very gently) even after fusions, but it's an individual decision depending on how bad it is. If adjustment isn't possible I would do Acupuncture instead. Hope that helps :)
