I am still single at 29, but Solomon Ocampo to me is the most exemplary person, with high virtues of love, meekness and notable patience and humility! Wow...
I agree with you.
He is simple ,caring and loving.
Always happy..
I love this family.
Rev. Solomon is such a thoughtful and wise God fearing man. Praise God for him. Rev. Liz and his children are blessed . We are blessed for his example of a godly man to the Body of Christ. Lovely video.
How kind of you thank you😊🙏🏾
He is surely the best Husband and Father! Congratulations Pastor Solomon.
Thank You 😊
Liz has done a good job teaching our inlaw how to cook ugali. Indeed it's a delicacy here 🇰🇪
Thank You 😊
When we were young, we eat this also, we call it corn bran, sugar is added like a porridge, sum times we fry the mixture in oil and its tasty, how how I miss it
👌🏿🇯🇲💞
@@weareocampo Aaah Pastor Solomon it's not always African originally hard, here in Southern African we actually make very soft compared to what is done in Kenya. I personally feel stomach pains if I eat that brick one. So we make it very soft. It's called Sadza here. Your cabbage is looking yummy 😋 Love from Zimbabwe
The kids are just awesome. I love the way they are taught during meal time. They are so humble and well mannered while at the table eating their meal. Love this family.💖💝🙏
We Jamaicans 🇯🇲 make this corn meal dish but we mix the cornmeal with cold water and get out the lumps before adding it to the boiling water while mixing . We call it “turn cornmeal”. It is called Coco (spelling may be wrong) in 🇧🇧 Barbados and is part of their national dish.
Cou cou in Barbados... my bajan side cooks it, I like the Zambia way too.
yes i have seen this version too in kenya .people make it in different ways
Cornmeal and steam fish
Polenta I think in Europe somewhere. Italy?
@@jenns855 yes, it’s polenta in Italy
This is so wholesome to watch🥰 thank you Pastor Sol for showing men that loving your wife and kids in action doesn't reduce your masculinity at all but instead increases your wife's reverence and submission to you, even more. Submission is inspired by love not forced and if more men loved their wives just as Christ loves the church and gave Himself for her we would have happier homes and societies!! Love doesn't have to be expensive but it's in the little thoughtful things that count I absolutely love your channel and get super inspired!! Pastor Liz enjoy this godly man he is a gift from God!!
xoxo you have a superfan from South Africa
Nothing pleases my heart like hearing n seeing Tzhuriel settling in. Rev Sol n Liz are gradually blending the children intobeibg on Phillipine. It's a good thing.
Aside from my husband, you are the best husband I ever known kabayan. Seasons' greeting to the whole Ocampo clan from Calgary, Canada.
How kind. Thank You
It is beautiful how you embrace each other's culture.
Amazing!!! Watching from ITALY!!!
I love that u guys are speaking the kenyan language with the kids . Kids you guys are great!❤
Masayahing, tao si Pastor.Solomon at halos ganon din si Rev.Liz
Kaya Mga anak ay magaganda at masayahin rin, especially si Thandee..
Laging naka ngiti..
God bless you all..
Beautiful video as always. When Reverend Liz said 'do not forget your mother's land' for a strange reason it brought tears to my eyes. African meals seem quite similar. We always have the sauce and the heavy swallow to go with it in our menu. I love love love your channel. With love from Nigeria 🇳🇬 ❤
😂😂😂😂The dad is always funny and friendly to his children may God keep blessing you guys and lifting you up always more favor 🙏🙏🙏
Thank You 😊
U guys are amazing ,luv u en God bless
Mom Liz and the kids eat vegetables and with one hand without spoon and fork. It's just like boodle fight. It's amazing the way these kids eat. They are skilled enough in eating without spoon and fork. Love these kids.
It's not nice to eat Ugali with cutlery.....You just wash your hands and attack your food
@@eddahwambui1306 weh😊
The kids don't have to be fed. They can do it by themselves. 😁👏
@@eddahwambui1306 umesema attack 🤣🤣🤣
@@eddahwambui1306 😂😂😂I lost it when you said attack
We really are all the same, we have the same in my country Nigeria and in all of west Africa, and I’ve read that the Caribbeans and southern Africans do too. Nice blend of cultures for the kids and as they say happy wife happy life lol. Pastor Sol is really understanding and knows that transitioning into life in another country can be rough sometimes, so it helps when you have an understanding spouse to help ease you into the new life. Well done pastors. Another great video which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I think this kind of food has been prepared/eaten here in the Phils especially in the provinces of Visayas.
I remember when I was young, my mother used to cook like this....when corn is milled, there are 3 or 4 mesh size of corngrits. The finest one ( called in cebuano dialect as tiktik)is the one my mom cooks like this. And the cooked one is called "binuyok". Cebuanos am sure knows about this 😊
You are absolutely right. My mother is a cebuana. Happy holidays from Calgary Canada
Am Dora a Ugandan based in Dubai at the moment,. but I really enjoy your programmes. Rev. Solomon and Rev. Liz plus the children I really admire you so much. May the Almighty God bless you more. We love you.
Thank You 🙏🏾

A taste of Kenya in the Philippines. What more can a Kenyan girl want to help her ease the homesickness while she transitions to her new life. Glad to see the children eat vegetables so heartily. That is so very rare nowadays
We call it Fungi, (yellow corn meal) cooked the same was, but we add ah lil oil or butter as you stir, can also add cut up okra, when the water was boiling u add okra (it’s called Orka Fungi ) ( eat it with Boil Fish, Fry of Stew Fish & meat ) finger licking good- Delicious
Such a thoughtful gesture and what a wonderful way to help with transitioning from one culture to another.
Sarap nian miss ko na yan ugali when i been in kenya last 2017
This channel is so therapeutic, so beautiful. I love you so much, because of you I would like to visit the Philippines in 2023 God willing and I would like to visit your church⛪ while there. 🙏❤️❤️
Aaaw welcome. Thank You for watching 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Masustansya ang gusto ng family mo, they liked vegetables that’s good 👍🏻
Amazing! I'm very impressed your children can eat healthy food, all of it are healthy ones! Where I live now, it's hard for children to eat just a single veges, they're not into it at all. But I think it depends on how you raised your children food wise( my opinion only). Anyway, I am really loving your beautiful children, of course that includes you as their parents.. God bless everyone and have a nice day!
wow pilipino food afrimoy yumming yummy ang mga junakish nyo Past.Solomon &Liz.
Husband of the year kudos
Thank You 😊
I so enjoyed watching Pastor Solomon preparing the meal. He can be so funny, and the children are so precious and well-mannered. God has truly blessed this family with wonderful parents and obedient children. The love in this family will pass down from generation to generation. Pastor Liz, aren't you glad you stopped running from what the Lord had ordained for your life? I truly love this family. They fill my heart with joy and happiness just to be allowed to share in their lives. thank you so much. I live in the US and have never heard of or seen this dish...but it looks delicious.
Thank you 🙏
good you teach the children the old tradition eating by hand

Liz, you are a blessed woman. God has blessed you with a God fearing man. Honor and respect him. Very few listen to your silent plea and actually do it. This man of God heard you talk about 'ugali'...he went ahead and fixed your delicacy. Thank God for small and big things! God preserve and keep your family under the Blood of Jesus Christ!
Beautiful to see your family embracing both your cultures. Have a blessed week to you all.🙏🏾❤️
This couple are amazing. To God be all the glory. ❤
Thank you so much 😊 🙏
Best husband apart from mine 😂 so caring and thoughtful, pastor Liz and the children are so luck to have you 👏👏👏👏
Bonapetit! Job well done 👏, love your family 👪 ❤️. Yesterday, I got my husband to watch your videos for hours! 😊
That was educational and fun to watch. You have beautiful well behaved and intelligent children and nice to see you kiss your beautiful wife. Eating with hands is considered to be the most natural way to eat your food because you feel your food and connect with your food , in a way blessing and thanking the food before you put it into your body. Bravo!
Hongera Sana Liz Kwa kumfundisha Shemeji yangu kupika ugali!Karibuni Sana Tanzania. From Tanzania 🇹🇿 Africa.
Asante saana 😃😃🙏🏾🇹🇿
Rev Solomon, is the GOAT. He's graduated from Ugali School🤣. The presentation of the food is appetizing.I don't like cabbage, but in this case, i would have tried to relish it.Ugali is surely a comfort food for a kenyan abroad. May your family enjoy .

Great...they are kids but they love vegetables. Kids usually eat hot dogs, eggs, sausage. But these kids are great.

I'm amazed when I see Madagascar it's so beautiful and peaceful.. hope someday I can visit Madagascar too hehehehe
🥰🥰🥰
It is also a staple food in Southern Africa too. In South Africa it is called pap, boswa, bogobe depending on where in SA you are from. The consistency differs from tribe to tribe. We break the lumps by using a traditional whisk in the Northern part of SA. I never miss it but when I do eat it, I am reminded of how delicious it is. By the way you did a good job.
Thank You 🙏🏾
Weldone Reverend. You are an exceptional. Rev Liz you are the proverbs 31.God bless your marriage.
Love from Kenya ❤️
I add ground beef with pepper chili tomato sauce with garlic to ugali to make it more meaty.
Kids unquestioningly eating veggies. Wow. Hats off to your parenting.

I remember last 2003 I enjoyed African christian across UST in Sampaloc. I enjoyed the way they sing praise & worship. I asked the ladies why they have a beautiful body with flat tummy. They said they eat corn or Ugali instead of rice which is sugar.
Rev Solomon, you are a vibe

Marunong din ako mag luto ng ugali, SUKUMAWIKI, stew at pilao, natuto akong magluto dahil ang aking amo ay taga Kenya din dito sa Dubai UAE.
😂🤣 the way he pronounces "UNGA" & "MWIKO" correctly..he has really become kenyan
Is it only me, but hasn’t Rev. Solomon become so relaxed?? There’s nowhere like home. Happy for you, Rev. Solomon.
Have noticed that too
Wow... Kids love eating vegetables. I hope my nephews and nieces eat veggies like this kids but they don't . These kids eat barehands and find it easy for them. Only they have to wash their hands well to prevent dirts getting into their food being held. Amazing kids...
So admirable !!! Especially the kids …
Well to help with the lump issue, you can put a lil bit of maize/mealie meal in the pot you are going to use. Put a cup of cold water to dissolve the maize meal off the stove then add boiling water and put it on the stove. Stir till it becomes a thick fluid then leave to boil for 10 mins then after you add maize meal to your desired thickness. You will not have lumps at all. Love from Southern Africa
He’s definitely trying.
They do it that way in Tanzania. Their flour is different, otherwise you'll cook it forever
Thank you for eating with your fingers..n teaching your children cross cultural ways of eating..bless you all.❤
It’s a pleasure
Wow Filipino culture eating with hand
.nice kids eating vegetables ~ Shalom
Thank You 🙏🏾
We eat the same in all southern African countries, depends on families how to cook it but end results is the same. We call that corn powder mealie meal or impuphu and that end result is porridge/ limpalishi/ pap .we enjoy it with stew all vegetables and braai meat or (babacue ) that is what is called in other parts of the world
Il try your veggies recipe soon looks yummy plus super healthy
Rev Liz, you made me emotional when you said do not forget your mother's land..
🙏🏾🙏🏾😊😊
Filipinos love eating maiz or corn too. There are varied ways of cooking. Like ugali, we used to ground fresh corn and make it into corn suman (mixed with sugar, vanilla extract and coconut milk) then wrapped it in corn coverings tie to secure it then boil for 30 to 34 minutes. Then viola you can serve it, it's super tasty when it's hot. Maybe just maybe the children will love it too.
In Southern Africa, Zimbabwe we put cornmeal in a wam water, keep on stirring until it starts boiling, leave it on for 10 minutes then cook it the same way Pastor Solomon did, leave it there for 5 minutes then dish out with a round wooden spoon then eat with different varieties of vegetables, beans, chicken or beef.
So it's an international food indeed. Well done both Pastos: for teaching each other one's culture 👏 👍
I lived in Zimbabwe for 4 years, and i loved Sadza (Ugali)....
There are farm around tagaytay where we get kale, and the other version that is best for Ugali.
Beautiful healthy veg dish, quality family memory in the making and lots of love ❤❤❤❤❤
