- 2 1/2 cup sugar
3 1/2 cup All purpose flour
10 eggs (separate use white only in one yolk)
4 sticks butter unsalted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup whole milk or buttermilk
1 teaspoon butter extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
Glaze
1 lemon zest
1 1/2 cup powder sugar
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 tablespoon butter
bake on 350 for 1 hour and 5 to 10 minutes

I made this cake this weekend. I did modify by using pasteurized egg whites. This cake was delicious. I took slices to church to share with my church family. It was a hit😊. Coming at me in the parking lot.😂Next time I will try different flavorings. TYFS

Charles, question…what exactly happens if u add the flour and milk all at once?
The reason you do your flour and your milk and three parts is so that each will get well mixed you will have no lumps put it all in one time can also cause you to overbeat which allows your cake to be tough
