    Is there no primer bulb on this saw? I have a husqvarna k760 primer bulb doesn’t seem to work I’ve looked and I can’t see a spout off the carb to the bulb to pull the fuel through could you help me out thanks !

    I have repaired two husky K760 one with rings worn out and one with the carb replaced with a aftermarket carb that is pretty much the clone of the Zama C3 EL53 it was really cheap. I tweaked the idle screw only to make it work correctly without spinning the disc. It one of the easiest consaw to work on ever

    Tolotson From Ireland usually made the carburetors for those maybe it had an aftermarket in it already or maybe that's what husky using like you said

    I found that water from the supply/shutoff valve would soak the air filter which caused the machine to stall. This especially happened when I was cutting above my head.

    great vid mate , I would just have one bug bear though , I would have cleaned the air filter housing part before re-attaching the new carb , but other than that great job bud ,

    do you remember the McCullough mini max chain saw from the 1990's. That was a night mare to work on. You had to pull the engine assembly out just to get to the carb. the linkage was a pain in the but. better get the carb. right the first time. The factory training was in Marshall Texas. fun times.

      +jon Barfield I had a late 90s chainsaw from them that wasn't as bad as that to work on but still a pain

    I got one of those saws I have a guy work on it and now when I try to start it I have to crank it a whole bunch of times for it to sputter then once it does I hit the gas and it turns on and stays on and works fine compression is good ... what do you think that problem is? if you don't mind... thank you

    • @neddy1287
      @neddy1287 3 роки тому

      That the similar issue I ran into on the one with rings worn out as did the compression test it was about 70psi which is too low to work. With the new rings replaced it jumped up to 110psi with the decompressor out but with it in it jumped up to 125psi. In your case it pretty much the carb issue as it might need to be tweaked with the Idle screw and Low screw unless the metering diaphragm is going bad. These carbs generally needs cleaning from time to time to keep working and needs the rebuild kit to fix since the parts inside the carbs do wear out over time

    How much would you charge to fix an exact same saw?

    Hey how you doing man I have the same type of concrete saw it starts right up but after I use it for a little bit it shuts off by itself do you guys have any idea what can be wrong with it ?

    • @hanksgarage_
      @hanksgarage_  6 років тому

      Sounds like a coil issue. When they go bad they work normally until warm then start to short out and you lose spark. Good way to check is after it quits pull the plug with the wire put back on and ground it out and make sure there is spark. If not replace the coil.

    I was going to buy a Stihl TS420 cutquik saw used off ebay, but I never did get one. It would be kinda cool to have one.

      Me being the tool addict that I am, it is VERY hard not to want to buy one of these. lol

      lol. I wanted to get one for some future hardscaping jobs I might do for my landscaping company because it would be a lot nicer than using a circular saw with an abrasive wheel.

    hank I have a leaf blower that starts and idles fine as soon as I hit the throttle it will bog down and stall but if I close the choke 3/4 it will run do you know what I should do to fix it ?

    • @hanksgarage_
      @hanksgarage_  7 років тому

      You need to turn the carburetor it sounds like, you need to adjust the H screw

    • @johnnyvee2560
      @johnnyvee2560 7 років тому

      Hank's Small Engine Repair it doesn't have one the carb is non adjustable

    • @hanksgarage_
      @hanksgarage_  7 років тому +1

      Well you only have two options and unfortunately you can either try cleaning it out and seeing what that does or replace the carburetor and go from there

    Good video, but shouldn't you have a blade on it to properly to tune it? Good score on the carb, too.

    • @hanksgarage_
      @hanksgarage_  7 років тому

      Yes which I advised the owner of, it needs to be tuned under load actually. He was more than happy to do that part himself and assumed he would have to.

      Hopefully will get to them next weekend. Also have another one coming in for repair from a friend. Idk what either of those tecumsehs need other than maybe tuneups and spare parts put on I have lieing around.

    I bought one of this and it is not idling smooth with some misfire. Also, not accelerating. I replaced all the electric components (Wouldn't start before). Do you think it not accelerating is related to dirty carb?)

    • @hanksgarage_
      @hanksgarage_  7 років тому

      My first guess would be a dirty carb. Almost always a machine not running right is a dirty carb or bad diaphragm.
