good vid .i did notice u reversed the metering diaph and gasket.the gasket goes against the body then the diaph. the gasket serves as a seal and spacer for correct clearance if the lever is set correctly and diaph. pin is correct length , then it will run rich and /or flood.
The foam air filter should be washed out and dried then soaked in clean oil and the excess oil squeezed out. If left dry it won't be as affective at catching the finer particles and mixture will be off. Best to do your finer tuning after you've oiled the filter, I just used engine oil that I got for our Suffolk Colt mower but any thin motor oil would do. Great stuff and many thanks.
Great video, thanks. I have the same saw and it’s revving hard on idle. The idle screw does nothing so I’ve read that it’s likely an air leak, so it probably needs a carb rebuild like this. I didn’t see you replace the gasket between carb and engine. Did that come in the kit and if not, any idea where I’ll get one?
Great wee video. I wondered whether you had any info on the fitting of the various springs for this model as I have had a couple snap on an old saw I rescued from a neighbour's skip?
Nice one 👌👍
I've worked on a couple of these, pretty good saws and easy to work on.

Thank you 😁 is it the chain brake spring you’re talking about?
@@TurnersWorkshop97 It's a spring between the handle and the main body of the saw.
@@andrewdowniephd Had the same on mine but actually replaced with thin bit of sheet metal and that seems to have worked fine. Kind of a whack job tho
Might be the AV Shock spring mount
you did the metering side reversed, on the metering side of the carb the gasket goes first and then the diaphragm.
I know, silly me 🫣 well done for spotting it and thanks for letting me know :)
Din două am facut una dar porneste greu de ce.
