The motivation of Twilight Sparkle evacuating hundreds of millions of ponies, abandoning hundreds of towns and cities, there must be a more substantial reason than just Chrysalis-level ponynapping (that happens every Tuesday in Equestria). IDW implied Armageddon-like event, which I speculated involved massive Void Storms from MYM ch1 which swallowed most of Equestria into the void. I speculated they moved because void holes would take centuries to heal.
Since Spike is the new Dragonlord, that would mean that Opaline killed Ember and took over most of the Dragonlands, consuming the dragons' magic (where she probably got her flame/lava powers), forcing Twilight and Spike to pretty much go for the apocalyptic event plan and divide the ponies and dragons into "vaults" in a magic-less fallout, so that Opaline herself would be depowered over centuries. Still doesn't answer what happened to Twilight herself: did she die fighting Opaline, or did she escape to, say, Skyros, or whatever Celestia's realm of origin is called..? Damn, poor girl only reigned for 200 years, Celestia would have giggled herself to death, if it wasn't so sad.
2:17: Just a minor thing, Alphabittle is not the guardian of the Unicorn Crystal. He won it in a limbo competition with Jasper, and I have no idea how he got a hold of it.
That's not entirely right. Jasper is the pony we see losing a snow globe to Alphabittle with the cube puzzle challenge. Another unnamed unicorn says he used to collect crystals, but lost them all in a limbo contest. The movie doesn't say if the unicorn crystal was one of the crystals he lost or not.
This ... definitely fills me with joy and sorrow - joy that we learned about so many ideas going into G5, sorrow because of course something had to make it so we lost so much that could have made G5 pretty damn cool.
When I first heard about the MYM bible, My first thought was "All this information, All the stuff we could've seen in G5 but sadly never will." But now that G5 has been cancelled, Part of me is kinda glad that we never got to see all of that stuff happen in MYM or TYT. Because imo it would've been disappointing if they had brought it to life and it built up our hype for all of these events mentioned in the G5 bible, Only for the cancellation to happen at the next second. So yeah, As much as I would've liked to have seen all of these events happen in the G5 series and I really would have, It's for that particular reason that I'm glad they never did. But that's just how I feel about it.
I hope people will keep in mind that this Bible was something that was the idea to work with and NOT 100% cannon. That was something like work in progress early alpha version, that was changed in process and turned to what we saw in Make Your Mark or left to be reworked or used later. That means that we do NOT know what happened to Twilight and how magic dissaperared. Anyway, this Bible is something worth of inspecting.

not really they didnt give up per say it was discovery family that was to blame for all this. according to hearsay hasbro wanted to make a new show but discovery family got greedy and said no and decided to sit on the contract they have with hasbro expired next year so hasbro was loosing money while discovery family was gaining money so basiclly discovery family was getting paid for doing nothing. hasbro it turns out while friendship is magic ended hasbros contract with discovery family did not and discovery wanted to sit on their asses and not produce anything and get paid for doing it while hasbro is bleeding funds trying to stay afloat. to stop the bleeding it seems that hasbro made g5 with boulder media and eventually netflix and youtube to slow the loss of money. but it turns out g5 was canceled for longer than we may realise at some point discovery family found what hasbro was doing and took them to court..... and hasbro lost due to discovery family saying that hasbro went against there deal even though discovery family went against the deal in the first place causing hasbro to lose more money and cancel make your mark and tell your tale when make your mark was in its 2nd season on netflix so they eventually released what what was made to netflix and youtube before anouncing that g5 was cancelled this year long story short discovery family got greedy hasbro took a risk and lost

It's interesting to see that they were actually planning on bringing back pegasus weather magic. That would've been really nice to see. Outside of that however, I'm still just not a big fan of their explanation for how equestria fell. Throughout G4, friendship and unity were the keys to defeating powerful enemies. Yet, when Opaline shows up, Twilight decides to split up the pony tribes instead of standing together and fighting against the threat (who is shown to be rather incompetent throughout G5). It just doesn't check out. I just think that G5 should've just taken place in a different universe.
Those ideas sounded really cool, with lots of interesting world building ideas that sounds so awesome in a story of adventure and rediscovery, it's such a shame that that G5 became such a stagnate mess even with the second TyT season being a massive improvement. It actually talks about some of the loose plot treads from the movies that sounding so intriguing, Why the heck was Hasbro so reluctant to go into that direction and only stick to slice of life and diegetic bland moral scenarios? I mean are they still stuck in the 80's where girls were expected to still become homemakers or what!?

I'm surprised to find out that they actually had a canon explanation and that the world was not meant to always be so tiny. Still, the show itself was so bad and slow paced. It's sad that even with two series and the comics, they didn't even get to explore so much of what was planned. A fan reboot of G5 might actually give us something pretty great.
I would have love to see these ideas in My little pony G5. Hasbro has made a huge mistake. But on the other hand, we got a G5 revival coming out in 2025 by the famous UA-camr Hawk Nightwing. Hate to disappoint you, pal, but while there most likely won't be anymore official animated G5 media (at least not for the time being), this MLP generation as a whole isn't over. IDW confirmed that they're going to continue the G5 comics for at least another year, with a specific one revealed on Equestria Daily to be coming out in August 2025.

Hate to disappoint you, pal, but while there most likely won't be anymore official animated G5 media (at least not for the time being), this MLP generation as a whole isn't over. IDW confirmed that they're going to continue the G5 comics for at least another year, with a specific one revealed on Equestria Daily to be coming out in August 2025.
Well truth be told they never really ended g4 with them still creating new content. It will be kind of funny if they decide to create g6 while g4 is still going
