    Having the hard stops on the PolarPro VND is really useful. Thanks for the comparison. Still happy with my PolarPro filter and the quality I get from it!

      Yeah the Polar Pro are in a league on their own. Such good quality. But for the price, anybody just getting started would be happy with the Tide filter. Thank you for watching bro 🤩🙏🏻🎥

    Sam your content gets me so hyped because I genuinely know you are going to blow up. Production level/quality through the roof!
    I noticed you don't have a Twitter, 100% should get on it. There is a huge community of similar sized Photographer/Filmmakers and I always see them hyping each other up and you'd fit right in!

    I just bought a cheap-ish variable ND filter about a month ago, it was life changing being able to shoot at 2.8 on a sunny day. Wish I would have had this information then. Good video!

    Perfect thank you - I was ready to blow money on something because I thought I'd broken mine. Good to know the X is just an unfortunately side effect of the wide angle

    • @SamHolland
      @SamHolland  3 роки тому +1

      Yes. However, if you don’t want the x at all, the Polar Pro range are incredible. Highly recommend those. Worth the price if you have the extra 🙏🏻

    Hi Sam, thanks for the video, very helpful! I'm a beginner and am keen to start shooting some smooth waterfall images. I've been looking at ND 10 fiters but after seeing your video am now considering getting a variable. You mentioned that to avoid gettting the cross shadow not to go to the higher limits on this filter, does that mean that I wouldn't be able to reach the same depth as an ND 10?

    • @SamHolland
      @SamHolland  3 роки тому

      Hi Paul. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻 it really all depends on your settings and the surroundings but I would say go for the Polar Pro VND filter range as they are made extremely well and they will cover you up to 9 stops! I have the 2-5 stop version. No vignetting or cross patterns either. Give those a try. Expensive but well worth it. Trust me. If you can afford it. You could try an affordable one first to see how you get on 🙏🏻 let me know.
