I just picked up a brand new 2024 GR86 last Saturday. Yesterday I took a coworker out to lunch, I parked in the furthest remote corner with about 40 open spots that are much closer to the restaurant. A beater truck decided to park extremely close to my passenger door and gave me my first door ding and paint exchange. He learned a valuable lesson. Anyways, those wheels look fantastic! I am generic and am going with 17x9 +45 RPF1's 🤣
I think the issue is more when unexpected bumps and pot holes with the rubbing since they can be at high speeds and can be pretty violent.. might need to adjust camber 🧐
Looking good bro. The rims look great and that ride height is a killer. Just got my Remark axle back exhaust delivered so will fit it up when I get back from O/S. Quick hint, keep your seatbelt in the seat loop as it will stop your B pillar getting scratched when the buckle hits it. Keep the vids coming.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think you would adjust the bottom part of the coilover for ride hight, because what you have done is changing the preload and potentially bottom out the shock at the back.
hey mate , car is looking awesome! I am looking at getting new wheels and MCA coils for my WRX, what is the tire wear like with -3 degrees of camber? I really dont want to be running that much
Tyre wear isn't great, but what you'll need to do is rotate your tyres and 5000kms to get the most of them. Would recommend getting a tyre with good treadwear rating too.
I hope this doesn't come across as rude but it looks like you were adjusting the pre load and not the ride height. You're supposed to leave the top collar / springs alone and adjust the bottom collar and twist the bottom of the shock for height adjustment. (In cars with a divorced rear set up the spring is for height and the shock is for pre load)

Sucks to hear that man 😞 RPF1s are a great look 😎
Dw someone hit my door the other week too while I was at work :(
Wheels look sick man it’s all coming along 👌🏼
Thank you, greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽!
Great video, very helpful - Thank you :)
I feel the same when someone opens up the door and bumps into my car. They’re just careless😢

I ended up raising the rear another 10mm and don't have any issues now with potholes so I think we are good 😎
Bloody hell. Forged rims, nice mate. She’s going to handle like a track monster with these on
Not sure if I'll track with these wheels but we shall see 🤔
Wheels are great especially of they're super light but it's mostly about the tires.

Thanks for the tip mate 😎

onec the top collar is set for the spring repload then should not be touched in my opinion
These aren't base height adjustable coilovers
They look way better than RPF1s
I think so too 😎
How much total is the car lowered from stock height?
How's the stretch on your tyres?
@@jasonchu6877 I'm not the biggest fan of stretched tyres but these are pretty minimal

what is the size of your wheels and tire thank u
@@ishtubol2292 Brother did you watch the video? 😅 18x9.5+38 with a 245/35 tyre
You need a dash cam!
Just bought one! Keep an eye out for the install 😎
You ended up with much greater camber on the back than the front? So far from ideal. sorry about the ding, same thing happened to my last car. Shit.
What's the ride, Height After you raise it 10mm to fix pot holes Problem
I can measure it for you. Where do you want me to take the measurement from?
@00Lach just thinking 🤔 is your car 100 mm Legal ride height
@@deanblackadder2918 Yep, lowest point on the car is the exhaust near the diff. It's definitely more than 100mm
What oil weight do they recommend for your country?
0w-20... Very thin
what measurement tool are you using? might need me one when I get some coilovers for my car as well. brz looking good as well!
They're called vernier calipers
Can 18x8.5J fit original brz zd8?
Depends on the offset but if you understand the video I put 18x9.5s on and they fit
18x9.5 what about the offset ?
I just got it recently, et 35/38 can fit

Hey mate this suspension is not base height adjustable. You can watch my previous video for more information if you'd like, cheers
@@00Lach Ohhhh ok haha I'm used to the poor people coil overs I guess XD
$50 bucks and paint less dent removal with fix it I’m sure.
