There is always a first time :) Jokes aside, that is a trick you can use in case your coffee comes out a bit weak and under extracted. But based on your UA-cam handle (anaerobic fermentation), you won't need it :)
I really love this series Matteo...not so much for the coffees themselves but for how you approach brewing each and making adjustments to reach each coffee's potential. There's lots of YT content about recipes but yours is one of the first that discusses how to enhance sweetness or acidity or mouthfeel if the first try at brewing is not successful. I greatly appreciate these "lessons" that you have provided us. Thank you and Merry Christmas ❤
Thanks so much for the immense support you gave me during this calendar. It makes me so happy. I wanted to use the coffees to share my approach, because at the end, we all have different preferences in coffee taste, it's not about saying this is the best coffee or this is the best method. It's about knowing how to approach variables to create the cup profile you like. I want to share more in the future. I have so many things still to say :) I wish you a Merry Christmas and then we will be back for more "lessons" :)
Great video series! I use french press in the past but I got a Hario Switch recently. Just brewed my first ethiopia with the Switch using 50g (bloom), 100, 100 and it turned out AMAZING. I really hope you use the switch for the last one since I'm a big fan of ethiopia and finding more ways to brew using the switch instead of french press (reason being, I use 16g of beans for switch vs 30g for fp)! Thank you for this video series, I'm learning so much from you!
Hello! Thanks so much for the your comment and the support. Hario Switch is a great dripper. I didn't use it for the last video, but you can still using it anyway. Regarding the Switch I'm preparing a dedicated video that I'm sure you will enjoy. Thanks again! :)
Marvelous! Would never have considered re-pouring as an option. Would you say this method would work with other dense beans? Thanks for including this! Also… since you’re taking suggestions… I would love to see what kind of techniques you would use with the Origami Air. Hope the storm passed and you have a calm, sunny Christmas! 🎄 😊👍🏼
Yes this work with any coffee you think is under extracted and a bit weak, in this way you can push a bit the extraction. Origami Air, ok, I don't have it here but I consider getting one soon. Still a bit windy, but better than yesterday :) Enjoy your holiday!
Now it seems past. Roof still on, even because stere is another flat above mine 😅 I was a bit preoccupied because also my partner was on her way to work by car, but she is fine so all good! Thanks for checking :)
How are you videoing? Do you have the camera on your head or chest? I have learned so much from how you brew differently for different coffees thank you keep up the great series.
I record it with my phone. I got an neck mount for it. Already planning to get something better for the future. Thanks so much for the feedback, that was my goal!
Wow that is so interesting putting through the already brewed coffee into the bed again. Never seen that before.

Day 23 already! Me is going to miss this series so much 😭
Planning something else after this :)
Great to hear!! Thank you for putting so much into this one of a kind series.

Keep up the great work! Thank you for the videos, do you recommend a ceramic grinder or a steel? Please advise. Ciao.
Thanks so much! I recommend a steel grinder. Never liked the ceramic ones
We hope to see tomorrow with your roof still on the house and all in its place...

Bro, please, can you make a comparison between the V60 and Aeropress?
