Love this series soo much I always thought that savio Vega in 1996 was very underatted he always had his working boots on loved his matches against Owen Hart.
He was lying about being Puerto Rican. He said he lied about being Puerto Rican because. 1. They have nothing to be proud of. And 2. They fool easily and believe anything. Then went on a 10 minute story about Puerto Rico. He said he loves to visit as you can steal from the people and they are cowards so you don’t have to worry about them standing up for themselves And how he would smash and ruin the locals food carts or cars. Or just whatever He describes dumping a lm outhouse In these peoples house to just ruin there home. Bizzare interview with him. You must feel like a real jerkoff I would imagine. God bless you friend
I know it's a bit late in the series to point this out but the intro song is the perfect representation of the attitude a lot of people had in the late 90's and early 00's
It’s amazing to relive this time period. As you mentioned, WCW was really floundering right before the Outsiders/nWo angle debuted. Even though I was watching at the time, years later I still thought they just dominated in ‘96 entirely. If the angle never came to be, it’s interesting to think about where WCW would have gone story wise. Probably just more Hogan, brother.

The golden age of wrestling was the 70s to mid eighties, dozens of territories were thriving and could sell out arenas. I would call the attitude era more of the bronze age of wrestling, very good but too much hotshoting and realistically only two big territories. I would say the silver age was the 50s when roughly 30% of the television viewing public watched some type of pro wrestling.
