It’s so funny to me whenever people bring up foleys Physique. Cuz in my head I’m like if he was built like lex Luger the gimmick wouldn’t work, he’s an absolute tank that won’t stay down. He needs to be a little pudgier in order to take hits. Mick always makes me forget he is a 10+ year veteran at this point with the bumps this man takes and how he cuts a promo. I WAS THERE! This was the first wrestling event that I'd seen live, great experience, loved every minute. Figured that I'd share a few things that may not have been broadcasted. -Savio Vega was in a dark match before the Bradshaw match, it didn't last very long but Savio pulled double duty, winning both matches. If you love Savio Vega's theme music you got to hear it four times. -During the ECW invasion, Bruce Prichard comes out to talk to Paul Heyman. No pop, but people did start shouting "Brother Love." There's an interview with Prichard where he talks about that being kept off TV, it was done for local smart fans who knew that the two of them were friends. -During the Owen/Bulldog vs Smokin Guns match, a chant broke out of "Bart sucks d___" at one point. -Sid showing up was a surprise, he wasn't on the card. There was a pop for him, but it was more out of shock and awe. -While Shawn did his celebrating, Howard Finkel hung out in the ring grooving to Shawn's music, nodding his head and tapping his foot. RIP Fink.
This is the one I've been waiting for. I have so much nostalgia for Mankind's early years. He was the first wrestler I ever saw that legitimately frightened me.

Two things: 1. Thank you for giving that main event the credit it deserves and 2. Bulldog and Owen winning the tag titles was a big moment, they would hold those titles for 8 months while unfolding their rivalry within the team.
Always love Davey and Owen tag teaming together,r and showing their real like prankster side with Sunny's poster, always crack a huge grin the way they wave at it as it rolls back up.
Shawn Michaels vs Mankind for the WWF title for me was easily the best match of the whole show. It showcased the toughness of both guys, it told a great story and showed us a different side to HBK that he was more than just a showman, he could get dirty when it was called for and showed no fear going up against a psychotic maniac like Mankind. There has been endless debate about where and exactly when the attitude era started, i wouldn't say that this match was the one that kicked it all off but it definitely marked the start of a transitional period for the company as they slowly started to incorporate more of a no holds barred brawling style of wrestling that would become a huge part of the attitude era. Mick Foley showed that he could hang with the best in the business and In Your House: Mind Games was definitely one of his finest in ring performances ever and there's a very good reason why he's always called it the best match of his career.
It really makes you wonder about a full Foley Michaels feud when they were in their primes doesn't it And by that I mean even before this, if they had met in the late 1980s

Foley making his debut & the ring work incorporating more brawling & outside styles further pushed things along. I see SummerSlam 96 as the end of the New Generation era. IYH9-Survivor Series 97 as a transition period before the AE.
That HBK vs Mankind match was awesome. As a side note, Damn does Foley look great here. I think he mentioned somewhere this was the best shape he's ever been in, in his career.
This match is a perfect example of why I refuse to hear any HBK slander about his first title run. They didn't have any other huge main event guys at the time besides Bret (who was on a break) and Undertaker (who it would hurt both guys to have him and Shawn go at it multiple times). Shawn was literally carrying the company putting on consistent bangers like this one. It's not his fault he had to go head to head with the brand new NWO and WCW's star studded yet geriatric main events. It would've been the same no matter who was WWF champion at the time, but Shawn was good enough to keep them afloat long enough for the attitude era to start
While Shawn didn't have much to work with; he just didn't work as a babyface champion. His ring work was impeccable that year but his character just wasn't it.

That main event is one of my favorite ppv matches of all time the intensity in that match was insane. Also I loved Shawn's vicious streak in that match that showed that Shawn can fight just as dirty as everyone else.
Wow Bradshaw losses a bull rope match against a lower mid card but yet years later wins world championship in that exact same match crazy.
Ah nice one lad I've been waiting for this one. I had it on tape
HBK didn't beat Mankind... he survived Mankind
Seeing Bradshaw in this type of match with red white and blue ropes immediately makes me think of the Eddie match.
I've got this on tagged classic dvd brilliant to watch great video upload cheers wrestling bios ok 👍
The psychology in the main event is off the charts.
When Bulldog wanted to go, he could go. He made those flips and kips look so effortless.
I'm enjoying going back to watch Bulldog in his prime (Tag Team with Dynamite Kid, IC title run in 92, WCW '93, return to WWF until Montreal). He wasn't just a power wrestler, he could do agility and technical when he wished to. Helps when he has a good tag team partner, too.
Where do you find these theme song remixes!? Or do you make them yourself!? Great Mu'fuggin stuff💪🏾
HBK fit here 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I know you are staggering the releases. But we miss you Bios and hope your vacation went well!
This and second match Vs sabu are probably my fave Mick Foley matches
I loved this match. I always thought the was an interesting and not really talked about observation that Mick was the match/fued that solidified the new (1st time) champs 96-99. HBK, Austin, Rock, HHH.
Spinning heel kick!!!!! Thought it was a spinning wheel kick😂😂
Same here
I loved hearing Bruce Prichard's back-story on this ECW "invasion" and how they didn't smarten anyone up - including Bradshaw - about what was going to happen. Seeing this recap after hearing that is fascinating.
I loved this version of Mankind. The best feud was Undertaker vs Mankind. This is also my favorite version of Taker.
