Still love them, I was very young when this happened and it was hurtful when I saw on tv when people were burning their music, I felt so bad for them and felt it was un fair some how, rob was so honest at that interview, Poor soul, everybody tormented them, 💔

It's not sad as u think it was. Because despies of the facts whether they lipsyncing or not even thoe they did...they was told to continue playing the roll on lip syncing,and they told the record company that there not gonna do it anymore. Which explains why! the music band🎶 instruments purposely interrupted the song play at there MTV live performance..all this was an example of who's the one in control of the music 🎶 industry
they new from a start that it was not a good idea to begin with but they wer hungry for money 💰 and decided to stick with the actual plan in (lip -synce) it was not untill they saved some of that money they made to later come out the closet and talk to the record company that there not gonna to continue pursuing a lie.

Streatham Soprano ... check out his photo shoot for Esquire Magazine,The Netherlands in Dec. 2015 issue. His dreads looked good there. He had probably just had them done. The photos are on his pages.
Fab I'm sure could, and so should cover Michael Jackson's songs, since he sounds pretty similar to him while singing. I could definitely imagine him doing so too.

People do care but generally I would say the younger generations don't as they see a concert as a chance to see a really spectacular visual ensemble rather than a chance to hear their favourite artist sing live. I remember going to see Arctic Monkeys for the first time and whilst standing towards the back, there were a large group of people around the same age as me who got really pissed off because they did an acoustic set with some of their bigger hits and the group walked out and were like 'Why don't they do it just like they do on the album???'.
You’re comparing apples to oranges - name me one successful performer who lip-syncs to someone else’s vocals. The kind of lip-syncing you’re referring to is when a singer records their own vocal track and then performs to it on stage. That is NOT what Fab and Rob got in trouble for - the issue wasn’t that they weren’t singing/rapping live on stage, it was that they weren’t signing/rapping at all. They were lip-syncing to someone else’s vocals, and releasing albums with someone else’s vocals, and pretending it was them. That’s what the scandal was about. Look, I don’t blame them - I believe that they were manipulated by an unethical producer and got in over their heads - but to say that what they did is now common practice is simply incorrect. If a successful artist was caught doing what they did now, their career would suffer the same fate.

Interesting, at first it said that this interview was April 2nd, know it says April first. Rob was born on June 8. Selena Quintanilla Perez married on April 2, 1992 y her parents Abraham y Marcella married on Rob's birthday. I'm researching coincidences.

+chii tanda The producer Frank Farian never intended for them to sing, He had hired American singers for the vocals. He was looking for good looking front-men. He made Rob & Fab believe they were signing a contract to make a single. They didn't know any better than to sign a contract without a manager or a lawyer. They were very young. They found out later that they signed a contract to lip sync. Also neither one of them spoke English at the time. I'm sure they worked with coaches and dialect coaches to memorize the words, so they could appear to be singing.

We were told things like 'There is no time' and it hurt Rob more than myself because to him it was so unexpected." Frank Farian gave them 4k and they were poor and gullible young dancers looking to break into the industry. Farian was well-established with 'so many gold records on his walls..." they signed contacts they didn't even understand, with no lawyers or managers. They didn't know any better. They believed they would be allowed to sing as well as dance. People who think it was their fault should do their research. Fab has mastered multiple languages, his story rings true. Just look at Boney M, how Farian had people lipsync to HIS own voice. I applaud Fab for continuing on, through his own pain, loss of Rob, worldwide ridicule. He and John Davis with "Face Meets Voice" sound amazing and John Davis is an angel for taking the high road, unlike Charles Shaw, who was truly nasty about them, bitter and jealous. He knew what he was getting into then later became angry. Fab tells his and Rob's story with intelligence and regret. He still protects Rob to this day. His tribute songs to Rob are beautiful. ❤

I agree, their shows were fantastic. Some of their choreography was done by Fabrice. They hated lip syncing, however, they had no choice, because they were tricked into signing a crooked contract

They became a product, it's ok to kill a product but not their personas. Hypocrites is what comes to my mind, lots of people "loved them", no!!!! they loved the product. Look up the video that is titled "Milli Vanilli Rob Pilatus Real Voice" (or something like that) and you'll see for yourself. One of the real singers also looks a bit like Tyler Perry as well.

What I'll never understand in a million years is why was the world so shocked when the truth came out about Rob & Fab not being the real singers? With their poor English skills, and obvious European accents (especially in Rob's case), there was no way in Hell it was actually them singing those songs! My only guess was that it was one of those cases where you perhaps knew deep down inside that it wasn't really them, but did your best to believe (or at least pretend to) otherwise. If I was fully aware of what was going on at the time, I would've been willing to put down good money that definitely wasn't their voices you heard "singing" without a doubt, and wouldn't have been the least bit shocked when I found out for certain too!
