I agree. I always remember them as not smiling. It’s so great to see Fab now after coming though and out the other side smiling and happy. Neither of them deserved what happened and It cost Rob his life
After watching the doc it makes sense why Fab looks more apprehensive than Rob. Fab said that by the Grammys he knew it was going to be exposed but Rob was still thinking it would go on. They were good guys exploited by an industry. They were dance and fashion icons and now Fab is even a pretty good singer
They looked sssooooo unhappy while being surrounded by screaming fans. I would love to know what they were thinking in that moment. This is a really interesting bit of history. Both of the guys said that they weren't happy about getting the Grammy. They knew the scrutiny would intensify. These clips are proof. They look so unhappy. The screaming fans clip looks like some crazy setup in a Black Mirror episode.

Omg, no one ever walked the planet as good looking as Rob Pilatus. I again today was approached about milli vanilli this morning. People know the research that I have done over Rob's death y inquire y professionals ask me to publicate my findings. The spirit lives on after death for it is raw energy. I dreamt the other night y Rob was staring at me the whole entire time. It was an awesome y peaceful dream. He was much older y with yellow hair like in his last interview in behind the music. When I was doing his death research I was listening to Barbara Streisand's greatest hits full album. All of a sudden in the middle of her album played a milli vanilli song. After that song Barbara's album came back y she was singing again.😇

Poor guys...they knew it was a sham and looked so uncomfortable. I played a club back in 1990 that the MTV tour had been through a couple weeks earlier. A stagehand told me that Milli Vanilli had lip-synced everything, and I didn't believe her. A few months later, and they were officially busted. Fun times!

1:54 Isn't it ironic that by the end of that year he was certainly no longer at the top? 🙁 The only thing you could blame these guys for is that they didn't really choose their words carefully and weren't humble enough. On the other hand, I imagine how hard it must be to keep your feet on the ground when you're in your early twenties and become a world star in no time. You didn't have much, lived in a village somewhere in Bavaria, Germany and the next thing you know is that you get famous in Australia. How crazy is that? You get loads of money, get invited to every party, and can get any girl you want. You're not really saying, "No, I'll stay in my room and read a book" 😀.
Fab said that Rob was actually believing his own hype. And Farian did pay them, he talked of getting 1 million dollar checks from him. It got to their heads. They got cocky.

Lip-syncing over somebody else's vocals was very normal in Europe - only America saw this as a Scandal (because they won a grammy) - so I don't understand why Milli Vanilli couldn't of carried on their music career, but focusing mainly on Europe & the UK - like Boney M did? Rob Pilatus was born in Germany. Munich I believe as he had spent his first 4 years in a Bavarian orphanage. I am almost 60 y I have never seen a more beautiful man than Rob Pilatus in my whole life. Fabrice seems like a down to earth soul but Rob floats my boat. They say he has a son John. But, I wonder if their are more children as a face such as his should have produced more. So gorgeous, y his accent y personality. I'm bitting my hand y I'm not even Italian.

A German producer snatched them up because they fit "the look", he didn't need them to sing just dance and pantomime. They never even had an agent or a business manager just an opportunistic producer who pushed for the debut album to get shipped and reap the benefits. From a recent interview Fab said they never felt totally comfortable with the producer, everything was being rushed.

ROB & FAB, wollten begeistern. Den Fans Freude schenken, wundervoll die Entwicklung zu sehen. Wie sie zusammen, waren, im Einklang, so nah beinander um den anderen dann wieder Raum zu geben.
Einer tanzt im Vordergrund und der andere tanzt ganz nah bei ihm, im Hintergrund.
Die perfekte Illusion, zauberhaft.
Rob war auch ein Entertainer, er hat die Fans zum lachen gebracht. Wenn die Menge tobte, fühlten sie sich geliebt und beschenkt. Rob war nicht labil und er dachte nicht, das es seine STIMME ist.

Ich war früher entsetzt, wie viele so geistesgestört abgegangen sind. Plötzlich, war alles nur noch eine Lüge. Warum?
Rock Hudson z.B. war ein großer Frauenschwarm. Er hätte fast jede Frau haben können. Bis rauskam, das er Männer liebt. Oh, rubäh so ein Lügner, oder was?!
Frauen waren in einen schwulen Mann verliebt. Körper-und Gefühlsverletzung ?!
Seine Magie, seine Ausstrahlung, sein Sex-Appel, er wäre nie so erfolgreich gewesen, wenn alle sein Geheimnis gewusst hätten.
Bei anderen Sängern ist auch schon das Playback ausgefallen und dann mussten sie selber singen. Live hörten sie sich nicht so toll an. Logisch oder? Playback, ist doch klar, wie soll die Stimme auf Tournee denn immer so lange durchhalten. Rob und Fab können singen, sie durften aber nicht.
Das war schon demütigend und dann bestrafen die Fans, indem sie die Platten zerstören und wollen Geld zurück. Schön konsumieren und Spaß haben und dann Geld zurück verlangen. Nur weil nicht alles perfekt war. Ich verachte die Menschen, die Rob & Fab das angetan haben.
Wie Michael Jackson, er hat nie einem Kind etwas zu Leide getan, er war doch selbst innerlich noch ein Kind. Das wurde zweifelsfrei bewiesen. Warum, hatte er Kinder und Tiere so gern, weil sie bedingungslos lieben.
Er traute den Erwachsenen nicht, zu Recht.
Darum hatte er auch einen Affen.
Seine Erwachsenen Fans haben zugesehen, wie er an den Schlagzeilen zerbrach. Grauenvoll !
Frank Farian ist ein Machtgieriger-Zerstörerischer, maligner Narzisst gewesen.
Rob & Fab könnten heute Weltstars sein, wenn sie hätten selbst singen dürfen, es war schließlich auch nicht seine Melodie.

British singers sing in American accents. So people assumed the same with them.
