I'm not used to seeing Ledecky get beat... lol. And Summer has beat her a few times now. Insane the talent of this young phenom. She's a Medley BEAST as well, with really no weak stroke.
What a feeling for any young generational talent to finally compete against and eventually earn a few victories over their idol.
And let's be honest here, Ledecky is nearly Every young female swimmer's "Favourite Swimmer". She's the Greatest of all time and it really would take someone like Summer McIntosh to even be considered in a future Goat conversation. She'd have to be as dominant, and as dominant for as long, to approach Ledecky's incredible career.
Can't wait to see what transpires in the upcoming Olympics.... it's gonna be Epic.👍👍
I hope Ledecky is part of team USA swimming for France 2024 because it will be intersting to see booth compete together

There must have been several videos of this swim competition because the first one I saw had the swimmers walking out to get ready and Leah Smith was smiling and looking behind her to Katie Ledecky and at times Katie would break out and giggle. When the competition was over, Katie came in 2nd and Leah 4th while McIntosh was first, and Leah and Katie were no longer laughing. Wonder if this is the reason the first part of the video was removed.

Ledecky's prime time is over. But she is still the best in other distances.
McIntosh is a new star and her body is still a body of teenager that is good for swimming cause it's light. Ledecky's body is a body of a mature woman, but she is a goat. We shouldn't foget it. 3 Olympics are behind her. Her legs technique for 1500 is now in books for other swimmers.
Wonder if Katie is thinking this may be everyone else’s time.
In this distance but she would still podium at the Olympics and no one is close to Katie in the 800
