Between her and Leon Marshand we might get to see two of the best all-round swimmers do something crazy at the same time. The coolest thing about McIntosh is she can preform at the world stage with world record and near world record times in both the IMs and middle-distance freestyle. This is insane and the training required for this is grueling. In both men's and women's swimming combined you can count the number of swimmers who have had this much speed and versatility on one hand. I hope this kid achieves everything she sets out to do, and raises the bar as high as she can!

Very astutely said. Summer has her rhythm. She has developed it by swimming 'by herself' for eight years (with little age group competition). She has it DOWN. She likes the long butterfly turn glides. She likes coming to the surface to get her rhythm atop the water back quickly instead of spending oxygen beneath the surface. To each his and her way of maximization! Obviously, there's a ton of evidence here!
