The gall that man had to play a tier 0 deck, combo for 14 minutes, interrupt the cubics plays at least 3 times and then scoop before taking their beating is absolutely unholy
They should make it a feature where if your turn takes more than 5 minutes, you can't surrender
This is the state of master duel, they should just ban the ishizu cards because this is getting ridiculous
it's a good thing surrendering takes away any mission progress and rewards.
This argument is so dumb man, regardless of what deck you're playing, if the opponent has lethal or can find a way to kill you, you might as well surrender instead of looking at the guy beating you and wasting time for no reason
@@tidalfront2360 if you're in the interest of time, that's a mute point for the deck that combos for 5 minutes in its own turn and then the same on yours. "Wasting timer for no reason" it was said earlier in this thread that there is a reason to take the hit because surrendering loses you mission progress etc.
Also, surrendering during the battle phase to just not take the hit is sad and hurts people trying to get missions that require you to deal damage or destroy cards. It's just salt and I stand by my first comment

Yep with Cubics, you brick 50% of the time, 20% you win and with the remaining 30% your op just quits (after 5 min of set up on their turn), even though you don't have game or followup they just presume they will be OTK'd.
Honestly god help the yugioh community if Cubics ever get consistancy support, or just a way to finally summon it's Fusion Boss mon. (Would be cool if it had a mon that let u summon any cubic from gy, ignorging restrictions and summon cons but you take dmg equal to it's ATK when it leaves the field (and has some other restriction). This way u could pair it with the normal spell that lets u send any card from extra then half's your LP, then Special the Fusion. The game will be real accurate to the final cubic anime duel.

I have no word to say on this, since I usually surrender when I'm not allowed to do anything (if I see the cancers, no point in staying anyway) but quitting even after playing on your oponnents turn?
This new deck is worse than cancer, I even saw a replay of this with Eldlich, this is ridiculous. Whoever invented this Tearlament deck along with runic should be fired.
I've been thinking of building cubics for a while because they look fun, but I keep seeing them in replays and memes, and honestly it makes me just want to build them more.
I cannot stand it went Floodgate players quit the game when they lost the upper hand. You wouldn't let me play now you sit there and get punched.
Meta slaves are build different. Loves to waste your time with tons of irellevant plays/summons and stalls the game as long as possible. But scoops the moment he see no way to win.

You can't exactly say Cubics are an old deck. Zoodiacs and Spirals, two other historically tier 0 decks, came around the same time as Cubics.

It's almost like the 4 turn stalemate I had where I was using a Ghostrick deck waiting for them to make a move but they didn't. The moment I reveal one of the Ghostrick traps, instant surrender. I just wish my replay wasn't full otherwise that would have been shared.

There should be a mode like blitz chess or something. Where you have maybe 60 seconds in total, but you don't gain any time between turns.

Mound of the bound actually works pretty well with crimson nova,giving it protection from backrow as well as possibly anything else above 3k. If u can tho,try to cubic wave it first then mound of the bound to have a 6k beatstick that can't be targeted

I mean the speed of the game is something that attracted me to play it in the first place, I don't mind watching the opponent doing combos because at the same time I can look at my hand and think of what can I do on my turn to out their board, and sometimes just laugh at them when they play bad
But hey what we find entertaining in games is subjective, just like how some yugioh player like a slower paced format, so it is understandable that you don't like it

broke this one tear players board with an umi deck that i forgot to switch out of and they were hella salty. stayed on his response on final blow until he timed out rather than take it like a man.

Also I did the same thing against them, except I had a Kaiju to remove the fusion dude first xD they use their whole hand to combo 15 things into the grave and can't do much at all without the fusion or some back row lol
important counter to tear: do not use the lv 8 kaijus, especially not the turtle (because they can fuse with it), the lv 7s are more awkward to deal with since they can't be fused with usually, and can't just be turned into a baronne with diviner.
lava golem is also better because you need to get rid of both the rulk and the elf to really turn everything off, or just to remove any other tear name so the traps are all offline.

I am still mad we shark decks dont have toad anymore when shit like this exists. They could have just banned ronin to ruin the big spright combo like in tcg. They made proactive bans in preparation to sprights. but where were the proactive bans in preparation to ishizu-tears?
Back then it was best to go second for that atk first but now its all about getting your field bricked or winning first game
"Back then" the player going first got to draw on their first turn. Choosing to go second was definitely a bad decision 99%, and in the remaining 1% of the time it was still probably a bad decision.
A battle phase is not worth being behind on resources the entire duel. You should understand that letting your opponent take a free draw for no reason is incredibly dangerous and if you do it and lose you deserved that loss.
Modern Yu-Gi-Oh is much more balanced than old Yu-Gi-Oh. Nowadays there are at least a hundred decks that are viable to a reasonable degree at any given time. Back in 2005 if we had ten viable decks we thought it was a healthy meta.
You might think control is overpowered now, but let me remind you there was a point in the game when Delinquent Duo was at THREE. From April to July 2000 you could quite easily start the game without a starting hand. Good fucking luck winning that duel.

In MD where you are prompted if you want to resolve an effect every time? Not so much.
If you're a good tear player you should know that that tear player in this video is terrible. He just press YES every time prompt appears.

They should change the surrender system; instead of the game ending immediately if someone surrenders during opponent's turn, the turn player still gets to play his turn and if he manages to kill opponent that's fine and if not then he can just end his turn and take the win and if he doesn't want to play his turn to save time he can just end his turn and take the win (And of course there should a indicator for when your opponent surrendered or fully disconnected so that you know you can just end your turn to win)
they should just revamp the mission system because this game is very different to playing IRL, IRL it is polite to scoop when your opponent has game on board rather than waste 5 more minutes of the 30 minute round, in MD you just wanna go next, but the missions requiring you to "inflict X damage" or "destroy X monsters" and such are totally RNG to actually complete because most opponents don't stick around for them and the paltry reward for loosing without scooping is so tiny it doesn't incentivize the other player to stay.
by comparison the event missions are way easier to clear because you just have to "summon a synchro X times" or "activate a spell card X times" and things which don't usually immediately prompt a scoop.
