The way I found myself tearing up as you finished the race? Something released inside of me I can’t even explain. So many congrats! This video and your success was the positive motivation I needed today ❤
I'm a bit of a "newer" fan of yours (about 4 years following, I think) so I don't comment often, but seeing your journey with quitting smoking and running/exercise has been so inspiring. This is a huge deal! Huge congrats for completing your first marathon! I was happy to hear you say your proud of YOURSELF after completing it (because that's the most important!). I got emotional watching you during the race.
congratulations Sophia!!! 3:45 is a monster time for a first marathon 💕🏅 LOVE all of the running/health content as I'm on a similar journey with my half marathon race coming up soon. you've been such a beacon of motivation and inspiration for me. the runner's cycle of training for a race, completing the race, and registering for another for an even better time lol. always chasing progress ✨
Thank you so so much! That is truly the biggest compliment I could receive. I'm honored 🙏 Good luck on your half. You're going to kill it!! Sending you so much love 💞
16:10 I was the girl in the green sweater vest cheering you!! Cannot believe I got to see you that day in a race of thousands - I'm counting my blessings. YOU ROCKED IT, GIRL! keep on doing what you're doing. big love 💕
I started running earlier this year in 2024 and the most I’ve run is 2 miles!!! WOOHOO!!! as someone who has literally always despised running, I feel so proud of myself and have been loving your running content. Congratulations on your amazing sub 4 hr time, you are amazing and I can’t wait to support you during your next race !!!!!
Girl i just couldnt stop tearing up watching you talk at 5:26! That SMILE! You just look so beautiful and comfortable in your own skin. You really grew into yourself and you seem so happy and content with where you are now. Im so proud and happy for you!!
It is not running, but I've been really committed to solidcore (lagree pilates) lately, and I'm SO close to 50 classes! Which doesn't sound like a lot, but feels like a BFD because I think I kept telling myself I could not be athletic if I was not doing a competitive team sport like I did when I was younger. And realizing like you said that it was probably my own limiting beliefs about my identity that was holding me back. Reframing this part of my identity came from the unwavering commitment, especially on days I REALLY did not want to go (17 degree weather, bad mental health days, etc.). It helped me prove to myself that I could do something like this. And I'm sure you felt similarly post-LA marathon. So proud of your continued growth, Sophie, in all aspects of life!
Congratulations Sophia! You’ve completely changed your life in the past year! I remember your videos where you were feeling low, struggling with quitting nicotine, and the fact that you not only quit but went on to run a marathon is absolutely amazing! I’m watching this while on the treadmill, thanks for the inspo 😊
Being a subscriber since your red hair days idk why this made me so emotional!! 🥹 I’m so proud of you Sophie not only did you do the marathon BUT you also recorded for us! You are STRONG!!!! I’m here still don’t know if I’m ready for a 5k and you did so many many many miles. CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 BRAVO 👏🏼
Oh Sophia, you inspire me so much. Here's a rant. I've been going through a really difficult year where I've been so sad, low on energy and just didn't had the willpower to do anything good for myself. Back when I was in highschool I used to be so active and loved running. But because life struggles i stopped running. This video really inspired me to start again. I live in Sweden and it's always bad weather. Makes it difficult to actually be motivated to. Motivation isn't always there but that feeling of actually doing it, I felt it through your video and it made me cry. Cause I loved that feeling of running. I'm going to stop ranting, but thank you so much for being true to yourself. Showing the bad and good sides of life, realistic if you say. You inspire me so much, and I'm forever thankful for that.
Congratulations on the marathon!!! You actually inspired me to start running, I am able to comfortably run a 5k now and I'm aiming for an actual marathon in October.
Sophia, you are one of a kind! Your content is always high quality and this episode is the special one. The narrative, storytelling, cinematic pictures.. at this point, I feel you should start making indie films!!!
I usually don’t leave comments but today I started crying at minute 15:24 (the music group) and exploded in tears when you finished. Congratulations. You did it. 🎉
I am 54 seconds into this video and it already made me so emotional. Seeing your journey and now your first marathon. So proud of you!!! Okay, I am going to continue the video and try not to cry.
I've been watching your journey for a couple years now and getting just these glimpses of all you've gone through.. Your energy is different and that's because you're different. Ever-growing and ever-changing. You have always been an inspiration for me, but just the different glow you have on your face in this video just speaks volumes. You. are. amazing. The biggest congrats to you for this win, and thank you for including us in your journey(s). ❤
Sophia!! I’m so happy to have met you and shared some miles with you. I feel so lucky to have been a small part of your marathon journey and I’m incredibly proud of you! Thank you for being a kind soul and person and taking the time to talk to me during KRC. Excited to see your running & fitness journey thrive 🫶🏻🥹
Congratulations! It’s an emotional task I’ve been watching my daughter run marathons for years, she’s running the Boston Marathon with her husband on Monday. Her second time. It’s a tough course. She keeps getting better she qualified for the Frankfurt Germany one this year. Keep up the good work ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Congrats!!!! The best thing I ever did after my races is an ice bath. The first race my knee was angry. I took an ice bath and it was like nothing happened. It’s the key to a race recovery, as tough as it is to get in and stay in for 5 minutes
Congratulations on finishing the marathon (and with your time)! I ran a 10k last year and that feeling and joy after finishing is just incredible. Your running journey has been nothing but inspiring and has me wanting to be more consistent with running (and aspire to run a marathon myself next year) ☺️❤️
I don’t know why, but your videos give me so much peace , no matter what content you upload it is always the same feeling❤ thank you , now I want to be a runner 😅😂
I just so @Esther’s video of June running a marathon and now Sophia is running one maybe the same one and now I feel like the universe is signalling me start prepping for one. Always inspiring Sophia ♥️
Omg this actually made me cry. Seeing how much work you've put into not only overcoming your nicotine addiction, but running a frickin' marathon in under four hours!! You are seriously an inspiration and make me want to be a better person too. We're so proud of you, Sophie!! 💕
Sophia, congratulations!!! I couldn't stop smiling from when you prepared your morning routine to Sean preparing your gels to starting the race, and then tears were running down my face throughout your race and at the finish line! I am so proud of you. I have been watching you for 11 years, and you just keep getting better. I love you, and I am 'SOSO' proud of you. Thank you for being my constant inspiration and human vitamin. Thank you for being you. xoxo
Congratulations, Sophi!! I saw how much you've prepared yourself for this experience and it was awesome to see you accomplishing it in such intense energy! I got tears in my eyes at the end of the marathon because I remembered you talking about how this marathon was about much more than just running, but proving that you are capable of it after the journey you passed with your addiction and so on, so I'm just so proud to see you shining, girl! I've been following you here for at least 5 or 6 years, and you keep inspiring me more each day! Sending you love and light
im so proud of you, sophia!! im currently training for my first half marathon and your journey is so motivating. i’ve been crying tears of joy for the entire second half of your video :”) rooting for you always!!
I’m not a runner but it made me emotional when you finished the race and you had your partner, friends, family, and Leo supporting you the whole way and celebrating you at the end 🥰 so happy for you!!!!! ❤ huge congrats!!
Your joy and happiness leaps off the screen Sophia! Very inspiring and thank you for sharing your journey! Picking up running again this year and your videos have been a great source of inspo ❤
Gonna run my first marathon in 2 weeks, and this was such a pleasure to watch! Very real and raw because that's how I'm feeling going into it. I know this is months later but congrats on finishing a sub 4 hour! That's awesome :)
Congrats on massive success Sophia! It would be awesome if you could share some tips for long distance running (in your future videos) for us, in other parts of the world, who are not lucky enough to have running club in their small towns and to learn directly from other experienced runners. It would be particularly useful if you could share details on your breathing technique (are your exhales shallow?) and any other techniques that you found useful to reach such a great time at your 1st marathon. 3h45m is simpy amazing, that's 5m20s per kilometer tempo, wow! Learning curve in a small town without running club is almost flat. Hope you can help.
Congratulations on your first marathon and a sub 4!! I just ran my 2nd marathon and have an ultra and 3 marathons left this year! For the next marathon suggestion, my personal favorite is Wineglass Marathon in Upstate NY, or MDI Marathon in Bar Harbor, Maine if you are looking for a scenic route during the peak of the autumn in October!
I don't usually comment, but I found myself emotional and crying as you ran the marathon, especially towards the end. As a long-time viewer of many years, I just want to say we are all so proud of your Sophia!! We love seeing you happy and enjoying life and feel so lucky to be part of the ride! 🤍🥰
I remember watching your vlogs when you got your first house, I haven’t watched your content in years, maybe 5? I recently started watching again and seeing you motivated me to eat better, start working out again, and keep up with hobbies. Love what you do, hope you keep chasing after what you love to do!
CONGRATS SOPHIA!!! Sub 4hours for a marathon is crazyyyyy!! what an amazing feat...and you held a camera all the timeeee.. love your dedication for doing this!!!
Just starting watching all your videos and really love your content. But here honey is where I'm making my first comment...I basically cried for you at that finish line! I was invested and so proud! Congrats!! xo Madelyn
Congratulations I'm so proud of you Sophia!! I hope you can make more content about all the things that you love to do because it's inspired me to do more positive things for myself. Stay healthy, stay positive and be happy ❤
So proud of you!! Quitting smoking to now accomplishing this! You’re killing it! You should come so the Kauai Marathon in September. They say it’s one of the hardest, but hey you’re running in Hawaii so views are 👌🏽 Sign up girl!
Yay! Sophie!! You did it!! I was cheering for you as if I was watching you race in person!! My mom runs marathons all over the world. It’s definitely inspiring to watch her running in her 50’s and doing what she loves! Congratulations to you! It takes a lot of mental strength to run a marathon and prepare for it! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️💚💚
Congratulations Sophia! I'll be running my first 5K in July. I HATE running but have been trying to challenge myself recently and getting myself to run more. It's not as impressive as a marathon but seeing you reach the finish line is so inspiring and is really getting me pumped!
Thank you so much for sharing about the big day and smth unexpected happened. It happened to me during lunar new year. I was at my peak happy HAPPIEST and the next day my whole world crumbled. But yes, we keep moving forward, we stay strong and do our best. Likewise, if it weren’t for my friends, family and fiancée, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Sending lots of love❤❤❤ always so grateful for your sharing and videos Sophia❤
Sophia, you’re such an inspiration the way you have determination set on a certain goal is just pure perfection and joy. Thank you for sharing your stories with us ❤ you deserve to have alll the happiness and joy in life 💡👩🏻❤️👨🏻
Honestly was sooooooo hekkin’ proud of you! Your effort and motivation are so inspiring, and it has been such a pleasure watching this process. Congrats on completing the marathon!!!
Sophia!! Congrats on your first full marathon! I only did a 7-mile marathon one time and it was hard lol. But I felt so good after and I wanted to do a half marathon. Seeing you practice hard for this marathon is incredible:) I hope you got some good rest after the full marathon!! I know a marathon is the fight with yourself. That is the hardest one in the world. You made it!! Send my love from Korea
the LB outfits look so good! thanks for sharing your journey. i feel like the past two weeks have been really tough for me, just watching your videos make me feel better! thank you >_
I always love your videos, and I wasn’t sure if the running was for me, but I have found it so inspiring to watch your journey. This video had me in tears of joy. Congratulations! As a person that only runs on the treadmill, seeing your journey and accomplishment has made me wonder if I can run like this. Maybe one day I will.
Amazing job! You should go for the 6 world marathon majors! Gives you a great excuse to travel while having brand new goals. I totally understand the marathon blues and this would help make it feel like it's a long term thing!
Your shakeout run being 3 miles? Currently training for my first 5k LOL and clocking in at a 10 min pace. Incredibly proud of you! 3:45.24 is an AMAZING TIME.
