anna i genuinely was crying for you, i am so proud. as someone who is in recovery for both anorexia and bulimia you are my biggest inspiration and you have inspired me to fuel myself so i can one day run a marathon too. you have no idea how inspiring you are!!
When you started crying as you crossed that finish line, I no joke couldn't hold back my tears. I recently ran a half marathon - and I felt the exact same when I finally made it. You did an incredible job and this achievement of yours encouraged me to push myself to complete the full distance in may next year. Thank you Anna, you're amazing.
bro i literally got tears in my eyes seeing the joy in your face and when you said fuck that about not having the body to be a long distance racer. you are such a motivation and safe space, thank you for everything and be proud of yourself
i ran the berlin marathon a week earlier and i totally felt every emotion you felt in this video. hardest thing i have ever done. i cried so much at the end when i finished, just like you. this is such a huge accomplishment! be proud.
Cried with you I can only imagine how that felt.. congratulations on finishing❤️ you’re inspiring me as I’m starting to train for a marathon this week!🥰🥰
Such an honest video!! Well done! I’ve run 12 marathons and I know you go through every emotion possible during those 26.2 miles! This was not sugar coated, you told it how it is. You completed it, you should be super proud 😊
Tell me why I cried while watching this. So proud of you!! I totally understand all of the emotional tears, I cried during my first race MANY times for so many different reasons. YOU DID IT!!!
Great work. I also ran my first marathon ... yesterday. Like your stitch, I started having ankle issues at mile 8. By 16 my pace fell off completely and I pushed through to finish in 6:42. Oh my. The marathon is a real education about oneself. Congrats on ensuring!
Omg Iv got absolutely no idea who you are my lovely but I’m sat here sobbing - ur emotion is palatable and infectious - bless you - u made it - u are a marathoner ….. massive congratulations my darling 💪💥🫶😘😘
Please use this platform to inform more people to stop these crazy challenges. A marathon is not easy, if it was, it wouldn't require about 3-4 months of continuous training just to be done safely. You are young and used to working out and still had issues. Imagine the average people who don't workout but just follow all the weird challenges, not knowing what's the cost. I've seen people pass out and later found 1 of them died, on a marathon in the heat. Please people, be more aware of your limits, nothing against overcoming limits and boundaries, but be aware of what they are and don't try to overcome them too much, it could cost much more than you think.
CONGRATS Anna, been there! It's a milestone for anyone- and one of those things that is a MENTAL head-game, willing yourself to finish, maintain a pace, etc. 4x marathons here, many more Tris, and a few halfs thrown in. I thought it was the hardest thing I'd ever done at that pointy in my life (20's), but then I took up mountain climbing and guiding, and that was even tougher: up to 50# on your back, going up 30 to 50 degree slopes, at altitude. Wishing you well....and LISTEN to your body, from training, recuperation, to dietary needs. Also, consider doing a proper cycle of "carb loading".....depleting your body and then loading up for race day; it really does work. Glycogen= Fuel.
I was there at London marathon last Sunday it was best of my life and best Sunday even though road was close for the runners . My cousin Alex took part of London marathon watching him I was so emotional and very overwhelmed and experience all you runners who took part of London marathon all of you are legend and hero. My cousin Alex inspire me to do London marathon one day . I am going to do my first half marathon 10k race at Colchester zoo in may I am going to work hard with my fitness running and cardio and I do park run5k at east mersea .
Anna the way I literally cried watching this, you’re amazing this was so inspiring and I can’t thank you enough for how much you’ve helped me. Keep shining girl love you 🥹🥹🤍🫶🏼
So proud of you! I just finished my first marathon today in Chicago. Wheels fell of the train at 25K and walked a lot after that. I know your pain as well as your huge accomplishment! I can’t believe I did that. 🏃🏽♂️🏅🎉
Marathons are so hard at first you go through so many physical and emotional stuff but the strength of mind you showed is brilliant we’ll done pal the next one ain’t as bad but still a challenge people around these races is what gets you through it
Well Done!! It can happen to anyone of all running experiences. You can only really tell if you’re gonna have a good one, when you you’re running it, and If you’re gonna bonk, or generally have a bad one, the London marathon is one of the best to do it, because of the support, and the really generous cut off times. Enjoy all the aches and pains, you’ve earned them 😂
YAY IVE BEEN SO EXCITED FOR THIS! For the millionth time - I truly am so proud of you. Watching you grow and push yourself and try new things makes me feel so warm. You truly feel like one of my closest friends!❤️
I know I’m 2 months late but omg I’m so freaking proud of you! Congratulations! Pat yourself on the back cuz girl you finished a damn marathon! I kept up with your running journey from the start and it actually motivated me to start running. I cried watching you cross the finish line, it’s amazing to see how far you’ve come. I stopped running for a couple of months bc of some emotional stuff but I did my first run in a while today and I can’t wait to get back into it. Sending you lots of love and support from Guatemala! 🤍🤍🤍🇬🇹🇬🇹
u can be so proud of yourself anna! you are so strong bc running a marathon is in my point of view one of the hardest thing to achieve (i’m talking about sport area)!! You literally make me cry so much. You are such an inspirational woman and you cannot imagine how you help so many of us who struggle with different kind of thing like eating disorders, stress, body image,etc.. So thank you for being you
i volunteered at the Chicago Marathon yesterday, but only saw the runners after they've crossed the finish line. It's so good to see a glimpse into how it looked along the way! You did SO GOOD ANNA! ran a freaking marathon!! 🤍👏
FYI: You actually shouldn't do yoga before running. Having looser muscles makes you more likely to injure yourself while running. Afterwards is fine. I also never have coffee before a run because of the dehydration and dry mouth factor (and it races your heart). The green tea is probably good . . .less caffeine but still enough to wake up without causing other issues. I hope to do London one day. Seems fun.
Absolutely balling my eyes out, you are AMAZING, your body is INCREDIBLE and so strong- I’m doing a marathon in a week and your videos and marathon updates have been so inspiring this whole time!! So so so SO much love ❤❤❤❤❤ congratulations you’re a marathoner baby ;)
You did amazing Anna! Brings back memories of my struggle at Edinburgh last year when I collapsed with cramp at mile 24 🤣 No better feeling in the world than crossing that line knowing you gave it everything 👏
👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍 anna i genuinely was crying for you, i am so proud. as someone who is in recovery for both anorexia and bulimia you are my biggest inspiration and you have inspired me to fuel myself so i can one day run a marathon too. you have no idea how inspiring you are!!
i'm crying with you anna, huge well done my lovely, you absoultely smashed it,you should be so so proud of yourself and everything you did,you are incredible❤
Dude I did not expect to cry watching this HAHAH but here we are... you should be so fricken proud. This video was so encapsulating of what it's really like. I did my first 1/2 mara earlier this year and for me (a runner, not an amazing one though) that was bloody hard. and ALSO - thank you for your comment about how you used to think you didn't have a 'runner's body'!!! so so important and something I'm finally coming to terms with too. You're a gem anna, congrats ❤❤🎉
Well done. That was a fantastic effort. Pushing through is the definition of the marathon. So much is mental strength. On such a big positive life event not getting excited is so difficult. The excitement, adrenaline and running a little bit quickly at the start make respiration efficiently really difficult. Sometimes we can mistake it for dehydration because we're struggling and we take on to much water which moves the stitch from the diaphram to cramp in the stomach. To suffer from stich that badly and finish you done amazingly well. Great truthful video. I'm going to go back and catch up with your journey. Cheers.
AHHHMMAAAZING Anna!!!!! I'm screaming for you!! 👏👏👏👏👏 You are seriously incredible. From sharing your ed recovery story to now this, wow just wow I have no words 🥹🥹🥹You've inspired me so much, to the point we're I'm even documenting my own weight gain journey. I never thought I could actually listen to my body but watching how you have transformed your thinking and relationship with your mind and body has given me so much hope and faith. Sending you all my love from LA xoxo 🤗❤❤💕💕💜💜💜💜
ur amazing ❤ u literally inspired me to sign up to my citys marathon which is coming up in march!! im going to be doing a half marathon and raise money for eating disorder organisations❤️ thanku for inspiring me
oh god the bodies inability to get a decent nights sleep after the marathon is ridiculous!! I'm tired, let me sleep!!! Bloody well done. There is no shame in walking, getting around in 5:30 is a huge achievement so enjoy that medal, you've earnt it. The 26.2 was just your victory lap for all the hours and miles you did in training!
Well done Anna. A great video and a great result! I did it as well last weekend and omg 😳 my legs on Sunday night and Monday morning 😭 Do you fancy doing another one or is that it finished? 🏃🏻♀️
Omg what are the odds of being recommended this video... had no idea you was a UA-camr but you were literally my pacer for the first 8 miles as you were going at a 4:30 marathon pace which is what I was aiming for too and there were no pacers in wave 8! I'm the tall guy on the right at 2:52
Well done on getting through it! Crossed my mind that maybe the rice played a part in the pain you experienced? Can sometimes cause issues if not eaten fresh. Amazing perseverance regardless!
I randomly looked up marathons and watching your video. I almost clicked off literally thinking to myself 'my body can't do this". And then you said how you always thought you had the wrong body for running long distances. But here you are doing it. Maybe that's my cue to try.😮
That man that hyped you up when you were crying at the finish line. Brought me to tears, he was so sweet
it was the most beautiful thing i've seen today! got me crying too 😅
No dont tell people to smile when they are crying, it's intrusive.
anna i genuinely was crying for you, i am so proud. as someone who is in recovery for both anorexia and bulimia you are my biggest inspiration and you have inspired me to fuel myself so i can one day run a marathon too. you have no idea how inspiring you are!!
awww, that means so much to me, thank you thank you, keep going xxx
what’s balimia?
Are anorexia and bulimia not two opposite completely. One is not eating and the other is over eating. How can you have both? Puzzled?
@@tuttifrutti2229binging is overeating not bulimia
