Styling a Scots Pine.... In Scotland - Greenwood Bonsai

- In this video Corin works on this old Scots pine that we purchased at the Trophy show last year in Belgium. The tree has some really aged bark and this as a feature that has been shown off with the wiring of the branches. This tree has now taken on a graceful shape that completes the image.

Another challenge melts like butter on a hot knife at the hands of a Master. Thanks for sharing and the virtual lesson 👍🏻
Another informative vid . I do appreciate the explanation before and during the work on a tree. Thank you Corin
Another excellent presentation, I really like the way you explain your thought process on developing the design. Thank you Corin.
Could have just forwarded to the sunset 🤣
No great wiring and setting of the pads corin great tree great video, tuition and background music. Awesome.
Wow what a difference, now you can see all the trunk and movement. Great job, beautiful tree.
Enjoyed the video as usuaul Corin and I was concentrating - honest! But I couldn't help being distracted by the rather large and sophisticated looking electrical installation on the workshop wall. Quite a difference to the last time I was in there!! Shame we didn't get to meet up - maybe next time! (unless you are just trying to get away from people of course!!)
What a beautiful endshot ❤
Thank you for a great video! Always so nice to see people who know what they are doing! Cheers from a cold Finland!
Welcome to Scotland!
An artist at work, creating living sculpture.Nice bit of Reggae at the end 😍
Thanks for this awesome video! I always learn something watching you style trees! ...and that sunset shot, nice!!
What a beautiful tree !
Very inspiring - love to Watch You and Hear your voice
Great video Corin, thanks! Love the last shot…
Great video as always and beautiful tree. I’d consider rotating its potting angle clockwise about 20 degree or so, to allow the upper trunk to be inside the foliage more, bending the branches out from it accordingly.
Absolutely beautiful tree Corin your skills are amazing 🫶
Love the video Corin. Awesome shot at the end showing the tree at sunset on top of the truck !!
You make it look so easy. Amazing work, thanx for sharing. (greetings from Belgium, soon it is the Trophy in Genk again)
Yes will see you there
Yet again another great tree thanks corin
Great job Corin,very compliments!👍👍👍
fantastic job mate.. looked sweet as against the sunset :) good taste in music too :)
A perfect visual explanation of less is more, the tree looks so much better after your work Corin, I guess there has been more foliage taken off than is left on the tree. Thank you for explaining as you go what you are working towards with the tree. Nice touch at the end. Happy and successful New year to you all at Greenwoods.
Thank you very much!
Love your Bonsais mate. Eventually be visiting from Australia. Sure would love to purchase a Bonsai from your nursery.
Pleasure to watch, and your relaxed style of instruction is mint.
Lovely video, Corin, and a stunning tree once you'd completed your work!👏👍
Fantastic transformation! THANK YOU Corin for yet another inspiring and educational video.
I, and many others have learned so much from your expertise and guidence.
Thank you for taking the time and effort for such bonsai treats.
May I wish You and your Family and all the Greenwood Crew a Very Happy New Year. XXXXX
Amazing tree against the sunset 👍🏻
What a beautiful tree, I'd love to own that, it's identical to my favourite pine here in Scotland, I see it everyday on the way to work, I also go a tattoo of it, but great video your so talented, your videos are awesome
Very nice finishing shot! Right from "Mr Corin's Retreat", almost in the middle of nowhere! This video with quite a lot of very detailed parts, is helpful - thanks! When the tree is due for repotting, I wonder if replanting in a slightly different angle - a tiny bit more sloping to the right - could increase the dramatic effect. On the other hand, the right branch (pads) should then be lifted a bit. Just a thought from an amateur...😉
Nice job, nice pine, and beautiful land scapte...Thank you...
Beautiful!
Really lovely tree. Great job Corin as always. Plus you had a big orb floating by on the scenery shot 2/3 rd’s in 😉
Bòidheach!! 2 of my favorite things: bonsai and Landy's.
Great watch, enjoying the videos. Thanks for the class.
Beautiful tree. You are so talented Corbin. Xxx
Nice video and beautiful end picture .. thanks ✌🏼

Damn....what a great video.
Loved how the music gradually came in at the end...lovely touch.
Ah and tree turned out spectacular.
Well nice 👊👊
I'm disappointed that the transcript failed, so screenshot of your process will have to do. Great video.

😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lovely stuff! Put your feet up and have brew.
Corin, what band is playing the music?
Josh who edits vids. His band. Called Concrete Rose
Nice Corin are you going to the Expo in west sussex crawley in april this year if so be nice to see you (Dave)
Yes I’ll be there
👏
What’s the after care for this tree now for next 12months ?great video as always
Nothing, it's a yamadori (wild collected tree), it's been through tough times to make it what it is. It'll just be outside over winter, Re-pot in Spring
Do the tips of the needles that you trimmed with the scissors turn brown?
Yes but I didn’t trim many so won’t be really noticeable
Not the most elegant tree to start with! Lets see what he can do with this one
