@@jodywells7519Of course it was a shed. It is not capable of dragging and ripping out the eyes out of eye sockets along with itself. Dead skin is nowhere near that strong. All that yellow/green mush was probably just a pus pileup.
Question… Because I’m interested in getting a bearded dragon… Is this something you have to do all the time or only when they have trouble doing it themselves?
i don't own a bearded dragon but i have had snakes and leopard geckos and am a member of reptile forums that discuss bearded dragons. you shouldn't have to do anything like this at all, the animal should be able to shed without assistance under the correct humidity. it could also damage the animals skin to do so
I have a question please. I thought reptiles who have eyelids do not have the eye cap over the eye to protect it. That poor gecko has eyelids but still had those unbelievable eye caps. Loved the look on his face after that first one came out
People please do not disturb a reptile when it is shedding, and please do not remove the skin prematurely, it can cause damage. It is extremely rare that they ever need our assistance.
My parents are thinking of getting a bearded dragon for my little brother and I want to help out my parents with it so watching this is helping me get to know a little more about there behavior
Its not really the behavior. Its the lighting, humidity, heat. substrate or no substrate. Lights have a shelf life for uvb production, even though the light will still emit light it will not emit uvb and thats what they need to properly digest food. lack of uvb leads to stunted limbs that might not even work, tail disfigurement. These are things the petstore doesnt promote to the buyer. Whether that's from lack of knowledge or it's because they know if they explain that to him that means that your family would be having to buy a light every 6 months at like $70 a piece they don't want to add in all those costs they're just trying to sell the bearded dragon If you ever have any questions in the comments ask a Wendy Porter or Kyle prebby And they will give you answers that will make mine seem Like I don't know anything and I know a ton they are very smart reptile people

Cool compilation video! Those poor geckos! Omg! I wonder how many sheds worth those infected eye caps were from! 😲. That had to be really painful! Stay rad! 😊❤️👍🏻
I cant even understand how a owner could watch that happen for months and months and think the animal was okay? Did you read the vet notes? on the vet video?
@@ChuckNorrizBeardedDragons I sure did. Looks like you’re going to be on injections of antibiotics for the long haul, which we pretty well knew. I see they also still have her on the anti fungal amd anticoccidial. Do any of the meds bother her stomach? Also, check her vent and mouth for yeast. She hopefully won’t get it, since she is on an antifungal, but you want to get an additional treatment if she gets it. (Probably a topical ointment.). If you notice scales falling off, or tiny white
Bumps on her gums of around her vent, make sure the vet sees it when you discover it. Otherwise, real long-term stuff! How did you feel about what thw vet said?
@@ChuckNorrizBeardedDragons @ChuckNorrizBeardedDragons i've been searching for the video your talking about for 20 minutes now but i can't find it. will you link or point me in the direction of it please? thanks
It's dramatic looking to pull a long, whole shedding but l think it would be kinder and more comfortable for the bearding dragon or lizard to do it in smaller pieces.

It looks like it hurts. Poor babies. I couldn’t have a reptile. Blessings to the ones that do and to those who take good care of them. Imagine if we could shed our whole skin at once like that.
Why don't I go and get one of these thing, do a shedding short on UA-cam and then dump it like other people have, as its not the in thing now, lickinng cane toads is.
some of these were painful to watch, like the animals have evolved over millions of years to shed their own skin they don't need your sharp-ass tweezers hovering around their faces, especially since they can jerk their heads quickly.
Amazing camera work..thanks to all the people involved for helping to relieve these beautiful lizards of their pain and discomfort.
Yes, thank you
Are snakes lizards without legs then?
That infected eye shed is insane!! You got Rocket the Iguana in that compilation! He's a gorgeous red boy!
So that was just a shed and not the eye ?
@@jodywells7519Of course it was a shed. It is not capable of dragging and ripping out the eyes out of eye sockets along with itself. Dead skin is nowhere near that strong. All that yellow/green mush was probably just a pus pileup.
Looks like egg yolk
💯💯💯
it was infected?
I like how each time they are like "oh shit i can breath again thanks!!"
Its so amazing how calm and relaxed they are with their human. Years ago i had snakes
They become very trusting
im not on the snake level yet but it is a whole new amazing world
Thank you for sharing, I have never seen a shed. Absolutely remarkable.
Glad you enjoyed it
I struggle with skin picking and this videos help me a lot ❤
Few things are more satisfying to watch than this 👌🏻
I could watch these shredding videos for hours its so satisfying . :)😊
Glad you like them!
It was so close to the eye I I was like watch the eye watch the eye!😮
You always educate us how to help shedding, I think u must love your pets ❤😊
They are more family and my little friends. they are amazing. thanks
I would suggest more humidity for those having trouble shedding naturally. And a bowl of water for soaking.
good idea
Well put together shed removal.
thanks
That shed with the infection made me gag but the little guy looked so relieved afterwards.
Amazing watch!! Well done 👍
Thanks

The lizards that shed eye caps, how do they do it in the wild with no assistance?
Cat: Oof, just had a shedding fit.
Reptile: Oh yeah?
Très intéressante compilation. Merci
Merci à toi 😊
So relaxing to watch 😂😂
Magnifique vidéo. Merci beaucoup

The two gekkos - did their eyes survive the conditions? Never seen such issuez before
I dont know someone sent me thos clips on facebook
3:46 idk man if you have to pull that hard then the shed isn't ready to come off yet

Most of the time it is in smal pieces thats why it is soo cool to see that come in one piece. But you are correct that most times it is small pieces
Peel me human.. peel your lizard king!
😂😂😂
they pretty much run the show . 😆
I think some were taken too early…not comfortable for the animals.
I totally agree, especially the smaller ones where they were pulling off the whole skin
Love watching shedding. Should hands be used? I thought it was just plastic tweezers. I would love an answer to this question iof mine.
I believe that hands are better, safer for the animal which trusts anyway.
Que vídeo tan relajante ❤
Gracias 🤗
The eye plugs on the gecho is gross but it's ace watching a snake shed I have helped my 5 foot woma python out of her old dress
Is it even more satisfying in person?
OMG jeez, what were the boogers in the Geckos eyes 😢
Several layers of unshed skin. I wonder if it is because they are not kept in properly-conditioned terrariums.
WOW!!!!!
The nose and eye peels are especially satisfying. Is that poor one with the infected eyes blind now or is there a chance of recovery? 😢

How did the lizard not even run away when you helped him with eye shed that trust must be insane

For reptile lover, helping a reptile shed their skin is like playing with a fidget spinner while on drugs
4:43 was that like emergency shed removal or what
what is that plug that is pulled out at 6:45 ??
what animal is it
@SVMQ I think the bearded dragon is missing and arm and it’s where dry skin had formed
Can u post clip of u taking eye cap out of first eye plz.?
Like a short?
It looks like it hurts. Poor babies. I couldn’t have a reptile. Blessings to the ones that do and to those who take good care of them. Imagine if we could shed our whole skin at once like that.
omg 😲
It doesn’t hurt them, at least when it’s ready it doesn’t 🙂
Seems like it feels good when it’s ready to come off. Probably so itchy at first. Something I learned - I didn’t know they molt from their eyes too.
The eye cap at 5:10 was incredibly large
I agree
Yeah, I hope that poor baby was a rescue and is now getting better attention. Looked like the whole shed was long long overdue to come off. ❤
Do Leopard Gecko’s recover from that?? Their eyes where so puffed over afterward
mostly yet I dont have the answer from that clip
Seeing the skin pulled out of their eyes makes me cringe, and yet I can’t look away
I came
5:32 You removed the eyes 😡😡😡😡
Cwispy 👁🫦👁
I wonder if this feels good to them
I think it must itch growing in but at this point I think they are just annoyed and it will take them sometimes a month to get it off themselves
Anyone else think at 5 mins that they were taking out the eyeballs
Why don't I go and get one of these thing, do a shedding short on UA-cam and then dump it like other people have, as its not the in thing now, lickinng cane toads is.
Some babies, they were not destined to go through this. Think about before u take am as pet
Как они линяют в природе, где нет человека?как у них очищаются глаза? Кто им глаза чистит?
6:43 was that beardie missing an arm?
Yes
NEVER PULL your bearded dragon shed off. Ffs.
some of these were painful to watch, like the animals have evolved over millions of years to shed their own skin they don't need your sharp-ass tweezers hovering around their faces, especially since they can jerk their heads quickly.
They have evolved to live free, not captured by humans to then be kept in unsuitable terrariums.
Plz be a gentler getting the Eye Shed Out!
Please don't BGM
I have the same vids up on the channel with no bgm ... check them out there ar we multiple shed Removal playlist (some bgm) some not. STAY RAD
