I didn't upgrade my Tab S7+ top the Tab S8+ because it wasn't enough of an upgrade. I'm waiting for my pre-order Tab S9+ to come in the mail.

Honestly speaking... I returned it as it wasn't worth the upgrade. I am looking for a 5g tablet though as this was wifi so unless you consider that an upgrade haha
Color me surprised when my Tab S9+ arrived today when it originally had a delivery date of the 11th. Love ordering from Samsung directly. They always ship early..lol

I traded in my S8+ for the S9+. I enjoy Tablets and always update to the latest model. May not be financially wise but I get the satisfaction of using the latest, greatest, and fastest Tablet Samsung makes.
It does feel great to treat yourself to the latest! I've just traded my s23 ultra 256gb to the 512gb simply for the extra RAM

Lol, it certainly isn't financially wise, but that's what I did, too. If you trade the s8+ in, you get the s9+ at literally half price.
Glad I found your video because I was about to buy an S8 case for my S9 (it's my first tablet) but apparently it won't fit. Great comparison!!👏hope the upgrade is worth it, I read that Gen 2 improves multitasking immensely, so well see
SD gen 1 had overheating and throttling issues, SD gen 2 is a huge upgrade, GPU performance is tremendously improved.
I just pre ordered my S9 and it will take two weeks to deliver.

Thank you for doing the side by side comparisons between the s8+ and the s9+. I wanted to purchase the Supcase beetle s8+ case but the camera's and volume buttons are set differently so unable to buy the case until one comes out for s9+.
Yes! I found there are limited cases for the s9 plus otherwise I quite prefer the fintie cases as they're portable and don't have magnetic interference with the screens. I feel the samsung cases aren't versatile or protective enough!
@@sabootio786 I went on Spigens website and the case I want says coming soon,how soon,who knows but I think by end of the week.
Imo if u had Tab S7 plus, then one can call this an upgrade... Buying s9+ after owning s8+ is not much of an upgrade but then again if u exchange ur s8+ with s9+ n get the huge discount as well as free upgrade in storage for free, then indeed it is a cool deal.
This is true, except samsung is only offering 350 the s8 plus which is not worth it! Better to sell privately id say
As for the difference between 8 Gen 1 and 8 Gen 2, you should notice a difference in battery life, as the Gen 2 is more efficient.
And the adaptive refresh rate screen -
You get more fps in games, too
So I tried using both tablets with 20% charge for general browsing (searching for holidays hehe) and I noticed both batteries died around the same time. Display for the tab s9 plus is stunning though!
@@sabootio786 for me the battery is better than with S8+
The difference is significantly less on a bigger device because it has dissapate heat MUCH more efficiently because the whole thing is made of metal.
Part of me wishes I went for the ultra instead but I am still happy with the s9 plus as I thought the ultra may be a bit overwhelming
Same here. I really wanted the ultra, but it's just too big to fit in my backpack I use when traveling, but I'm happy with my s9+.
@kurtisrinker1202 my friend has the ultra now so got to compare side by side.. OMG.. looks truly amazing and is huge ! but price difference is just ridiculous 😒 no difference in performance although his keyboard has a back light and the S9 plus doesn't...not a biggie but nice extra I guess.

The only thing they fail is the colors, such beautiful colors of the s23 ultra... why don't they replicate them to their tablets?

@@sabootio786 It's portable enough to bring along with my MacBook Pro when I'm flying overseas or on a business trip. Just make sure to get a decent backpack. Haven't noticed anything different from my previous s8 Ultra, other than brighter screen. The pre-order deal for the extra memory to 512GB is worth it.

tabs8 Ultra ill upgrade to tabS10Ultra but enjoy ur new tab SAMSUNG makes them better ipads are boring thats why i swiched to Android.

Do you have any magnetic interference with the Moko case? I've heard that there are magnets at the back and it may affect the spen when being used on screen.
Yes! In fact I've had to take the case off and reattach it to get rid of it. You'll see this effect on my tab s8 case video. That's why I use the fintie case for my tabs now as the magnetic interference was getting quite annoying

Well to be honest sound quality is not something I have checked surprisingly! Well not for the speakers anyway. I'm constantly wearing my galaxy buds live! They are pretty loud though

Hi.. I just get my Tab S9+ unit. After a few hours of usage I noticed on screen off 1 tap will show the fingerprint area, right? But there is 1 hair line thin white line flicker once horizontally in the middle while the fingerprint area showing. Are your unit also have same issue? Thank you
Update: you need to check in on a dark room, because the line very thin and gone so fast.

Yes, semi significant brightness increase, same resolution.
Yes I found this also. Display was more vivid and cooler, stunning! But I noted that when they were side by side. The tab s8 plus still satisfies above and beyond with its display!

Hi everyone. i have a samsung tab s9 plus and i have the book cover keyboard, however i want to use the protective case and keyboard at the same time. is there any thin case to use like that?

I wanted to upgrade my tab s8 to tab s9+ . Samsung told me to add about 460 $ . I agreed , but when I saw the total amount it was 582 $ and I think it's very expensive. You can add about 200 $ and have apple macbook Air M1 or Microsoft Surface 5 and also with my tab s8 , instead of one s9+ tablet.

I feel the trade in amounts from last years model are ridiculous. I paid top money for the s8 plus and its trade in value was 350??? They are expensive
Keep in mind the price did go up a little bit this year. You should wait for the next sale they will make the price more attractive for a limited time.

I was searching for a case for my S9+ saw this video and got it. Is the tablet holder parts are securely hols the tablet when you change the position? Are those areas magneticly attach to the tablet itsrlf? What like about the case is that it secures the camera and the pen at the back. I will also use it with my k380 with this case
Yes the case is very sturdy and can be placed in many positions. I like that it keeps the s pen secure and in charge

I got $500 trade in from Samsung for tab 6 in Canada and free double storage and free book cover. Now I have 16 gb ram and 1tb storage with the ultra. Love it. Not heavy on my lap

@sabootio786 I love it. The ram is great because I usually have a lot open. My tab s6 is only 8 gb and that was not enough.
I've been using the tab s7 for over 2 years now for college work and it worked absolutrly great however I'm tempted to upgrade to either s9+ or s9ultra before I start uni. I'm liking the idea of a bigger screen and definitely could use more storage and I'm worried that, if I continue with the s7 for my uni work, it will have been my main driver for 5 years by the end and worry it may fail mid way or run out of storage or something. Should I upgrade?
I would definitely go for the plus simply for the screen real estate. Multitasking and Note taking on the s8 plus is superb and it's never too cramped. Just a tad smaller than an a4 sheet. Also with the 12gb ram you'll be covered performance wise. The only caveat with the ultra is the size! If youre taking it around with you its not the lightest thing. Even when i was using the s8 plus in one hand and notetaking with the other my wrist would hurt. But if youre using it as a desktop substitute or dont mind carrying the load then the Ultra is for you! You'll benefit from updates for longer too. If you're worried about longevity, get insurance or care plus as you'll have peace of mind too... hope that helps
@sabootio786 oh wow thank you so so much! That really helps and means a lot thank you so much! The preorders end today and so I'm going to have to decide today wether to get it or not and which one. I'm hopefully going to go into a store today to see them in person to decide! But yess my main usage of them is just note taking and so I'd love the bigger screen size but also the price is a factor too and portability. But thank you! I really want more update length and more storage so I think I'll go for it thank you so much for your help
@daisyjoyce9970 do you live in the UK by any chance? You can get student discount on unidays and great trade in deals with your previous tab. I would definitely decide today as you'll benefit from the storage upgrade. Let me know how it goes!
@sabootio786 I do yes! That's what I'm hoping to do. I'm hoping to trade in my s7 for £300 off and then the unidays discount as well makes the s9+ and the 50% off keyboard cover totalling to about £620 which is pretty good. And I will do thank youu

So let me get this straight. You refused the storage upgrade when you pre-ordered the tablet, or, you pre-order the tablet and then they added the free memory upgrade?

Yes! I decided to only have the 256gb as I use cloud storage mainly. Wish there was a storage upgrade for my s23 ultra though, I feel the 256gb model 8gb ram isn't as fast as my note 20 ultra which had 12gb ram!
The glass portion where you put the s pen at the back of the tablet just hits different. For me it is more elegant and fancy compared to the s9 which is more like an A series tablet of Samsung.
hello, does the s9+ spen work on the s8+? does it perform the same functionalities and does it also charge as well? it's because I'm planning on buying s9 spen for my s8+
So all my usual functions worked when I used the s9 plus spen on my tab s8 plus 👍 I was thinking to do the same!! Maybe the cream pen 🙂

How is the display quality compared to s8 plus?
Same resolution, slight increase in brightness, peak brightness has a slightly more significant increase (viewing in direct sunlight will see a slight, temporary, boost in brighness along with HDR content becoming alot more dynamic)
When comparing side by side the s9 plus is brighter and more vivid. However on their own, the tab s8 plus satisfies greatly with its display
iirc the base s9 is actually less vivid than the s8lcd? I don't know if this carries across to the s9+ or ultra
I just got my S9+, I noticed the edges are kind of sharp which I do not like holding it in my hands for that reason I think it's a major design flaw.
The back panel and camera placement was much better in tab s9 plus than the s8 plus.

No matter what people say, it`s still not worth upgrading to S9 Plus when you already have S8 Plus. They are the same with different cameras. That`s definitely not worth it, money waste.

If they have specific cut outs for the volume and power buttons than I'm afraid no...
Is it worth upgrading to s9 plus from s8 plus. Battery not lasting log on s8plus.
So I feel they compare the same as they have the same battery. I mean the faster chips etc is supposed to makenit kore efficient. But when I used them simultaneously (both at 20% charge), the battery dies at a similar time. My s8 plus would typically have 20-30% battery after a day of note taking usually

Yes! There is a 5g variant available and in fact I wish I had that as I have to connect it to WiFi each time I pull it out. My phone does act as hotspot but its not automatic. 5g variants are a little prices too

Don't forget there's a $10-$20 carrier line per month (+taxes and fees) charge for tablets too that are added to the bill.

Yes, it has a micro SD card slot and can go up to a 2tb micro SD.

I had the option of the graphite and the cream color on the Samsung website. I chose the graphite again since my case is the same color.
