I should’ve clarified. What I was trying to say was. My monitor is 1440. So I don’t think you can set resolution, (I actually think you can in the system settings) but im talking about my monitor specifically. So I was wondering if it doesn’t have to struggle to scale and maintain that 4K image because it only has to peak at 1440, wouldn’t I save performance? I mean it’s like that on PC. I should get more fps if my system isn’t going towards 4K. But I think the answer is no. On performance mode it only stays a little bit above 60 on both 1440 and 4K displays. Which kinda shows that it’s never actually getting to 4K.

@@julian2238 Mmm, I think I know what you're trynna say, just in case I know that Ps5 can be set to 1440p since a while ago, but doing that doesn't give you any boost in performance, not sure, but I think the console runs games in their native resolutions (4k or whatever) but outputs the game at the resolution of your monitor, the game is not actually 4k tho, It's upscaled from like 1440p, but It looks better than most upscaled games on it, just some objects have noticeable ailising

2:20 "not between 70-80 like Digital Foundry claims"
You are once again misrepresenting what DF says to fit your narrative. They said: "the frame-rate can go above 60fps, normally 65-80fps" - which is true. Once again, they said 65, not 70 like you claim. This is a significant difference. If they said 70, you'd be right, but they didn't so you're not. It's on 10:16 in their video and in the article on Eurogamer.
Also, 65-80 is a range. While I agree it's almost never (or never) 80 in the open world while travelling the city, it can easily be 80 in closed spaces, interiors, etc. DF has no reason to make false claims which can easily be refuted by anyone with a LG TV. They have a reputation to uphold so what would be the reason to tarnish their reputation over something so insignificant? What would they gain by lying, while having so much to lose?
