Sorry but I had to change the title to that - it may be a bit much - because DF would rather show gameplay stare at the SKY than correct their misleading statement.
Very misleading, you can get more frames on any pc game with an unlocked frame rate by just looking up!
I played this game on 40 fps mode and it looked and played so awesome.
I wonder how this will run once the PS5 pro releases, god bless uncapped frame rates
I cant explain how 30 fps look more realistic and "smooth" than 60
On NX Gamer he literally shows that it can go close to 60fps in 120hz fidelity mode using a capture card not a tv.
And I didn't hear one of them say that the average frame rate is above 50, they said targets 40 and can be anywhere between 40-60. So even if it doesn't go above 41fps for 95%of the time and above 50fps for 5% they are still not lying.
All the videos I’ve seen showed 45-47fps in fidelity mode. If it can barely get to 70fps in performance mode then it definitely isn’t getting anywhere near 60fps in fidelity mode
Digital Foundry tried to prove you wrong by capturing looking up at the sky footage, in their second performance review vid. John Linneman is so unprofessional compared to the rest of the DF team
Ok just saw it, so that just proves my point - they are Misleading. The only time you get 70+,80 etc. is when you look at the ceiling or sky - they likely just watch my video and showed that footage to prove their "Normally 65 to 80FPS point, although they revised it down to 60 to80 FPS. Staring at the sky or ceiling is not NORMAL lol.
@@OpenSurprise so glad that df is not the only site that tests frame rates, thank you.
He also refused to view hogwarts legacy at first, because of the whole JK Rowling thing with trans people.
@@BigJugsRule92 so unprofessional, i tried some of the games Linneman recommended for game of the year and was so disappointed. Never gonna take his opinion seriously
i am playing on 1080p 60hz tv(performance mode) and i have some fps drops if i get a nice speed in the game, is that normal?
all other games works just amazing, but these fps drops in sm2 is not ok i guess...
It’s probably screen tearing because a few frame drops really isn’t noticeable at that rate
I've got them too bro
Annoying drops
your resolution will tank with uncapped vrr
strongly?
@@ЯрикЧепушила down to 1080p at times
TV name?
That tv is c2 g2 c3 g3 c4 g4
Here we go again. Lol
PS5 ❤😍
I think frame rate is about 40 to 45fps
Yes it's likely in that range.
Why does tv show 119 fps if it’s really at 40-60? My tv does that too. I’ll have it on fidelity 120 auto and it’ll stay at 119.
It’s a bug. Mostly with LG tvs. Anything below 60 fps shows 119hz no matter what
@@VisForVindetta I gotta Samsung S90C
Sony x90l has 4k hdr vrr 120hz same so if execute fidelity uncapped i will get 119 fps. What problem in Sony TV it doesn't show FPS
I can't believe you didnt put the resolution on screen instead of "black stabilizer". c'mon cuh...
I don't have 120hz VRR TV but still performance look very very good. After 60fps switching to 30fps is painfull and looks worse in real gameplay
have a question, I hope you can guide me, I have a ps5 and I use an LG c2 screen, I have noticed that in games that reach 120 fps with VRR (like Spiderman 2, god of war ragnarok), I notice that the screen flickers every few seconds , I have tried to configure the way so that this does not happen, but I cannot achieve it, and the screen continues to flash slightly. Is there any way to correct it?
You can spam the green bottom on the lg remote and can give you better information about vrr
Thanks 🙏
Bro,you need to use the gaming mode on your LG to show fps
TBH, 40fps is the goat. Not everything needs to be 60 plus, but with lifelike IRL camera-style motion blur, 40fps is genuinely attractive, and 30fps is pretty damn playable. I just wish VRR worked at lower frame rates, IE starting at 30-40fps.
It’s all about what you’re use to but 60fps is a good standard
@@KINGOFDUBSOFFICIAL The last console I played was a PS3. Never owned or played a 4 except at Walmart a time or two, and I've NEVER touched a PS5. My point is I'm used to the 30/60 dichotomy, as well as PC gaming where everything fluctuates, anyway. Though, on the PC side, I HAVE discovered/decided that 40fps is about my own personal playable minimum, regardless of motion blur.
THAT'S why I think 40 is the goat, too. 40 with properly implemented, real life, camera-like motion blur is PERFECT. It's one order of magnitude smoother than 30 (60 is 2 orders smoother than 30, and one order smoother than 40), and that combined with a realistically implemented motion blur compensates for the comparative lack of frames from not being at 60fps, and it just makes everything look like a beautiful balance between smoothness and a TINY, _aesthetic_ amount of "lag" that makes it feel cinematic.
@@Drunken_Hamster I can see what you’re saying from your perspective but for me 40fps is definitely way smoother than 30 but I still notice the choppiness of the gameplay and with 60fps on Spider-Man 2 to 100fps on Spider-Man 1 both feel smooth to me but that’s just my opinion
@@KINGOFDUBSOFFICIAL Oh yeah, if I have the power to push it, the goal for me is always 60fps+ at 1440p with high or max settings. But if it's a choice between lowering my settings and resolution, or dropping to 40fps as my 1% lows/locked frame rate, I'll first pick 40fps every time for single-player games.
Multiplayer games, especially "competitive" games like Counter-Strike, are a different story. With those, I want 90-120fps the whole time at native res or even downscaled from a higher res. THOSE I'll sacrifice settings for to give me a gameplay edge, but I won't do that for the SP experience. SP is for immersion, and good graphics are a part of that.
Odd, Fidelity VRR uncapped for me shows constant change between 120 and over framerates, I see it often got to 60-74. I have the same LG overlay.
There’s no way you got 60-74fps in fidelity mode, I barely get 65 fps in performance mode on my LG tv
the overlay is weird sometimes
you have a PS5 Pro? XD
Quanto ativo os 120hz e o vrr suavizado qual a resoluções que fica ?
i thought that VRR mode and 120hz meant the same thing? what settings should i choose if i want the highest fps while in fidelity mode?
Fidelity and 120 Hz turned ON for 40 FPS, having VRR on uncapped May give few extra frames but it’s nothing much.
You should use vrr uncapped capped means it’s capped at 40 so use uncapped
@@Roofinqs but uncapped will hurt resolution?
@@joaquinarchivaldoguzmanloe1073technically yes but the naked eye will not notice the difference, might as well use uncapped and get a few more frames.
@@JohnjOcampostrongly?
Why doesnt the FPS change in my monitor just says 120 ?
Becuse its under 48fps meaning out of vrr cap
Because its always under 48 FPS - that's the point of the video. Fidelity 120Hz, VRR is ALWAYS under 48FPS. Not even close to hitting 50 or 60.
The ps5 vrr range is only 48Hz - 120Hz , if the game is running lower than 48Hz is out range and that’s mean vrr is not working and lg tv like my c1 give you fake signal to 59Hz oh 119Hz , the good thing about Xbox the range is 40Hz -120Hz , sad the ps5 can only do 48 and not 40
@@OpenSurprise the fidelity with smooth vrr banging 40fps they should implement this is every game tho. Fells much faster and better than 30fps and very close to the 60fps
@@o_KingOfKings_o
That's 40fps or more with rt reflections on everything. Real rt not 1 meter out rt. The rt on the water for example takes a lot of processing. What's really sad is the only rt T10 could get to work on forza is dog shit.
PUBG graphics
that's starfield your talking about
Lol you wish. PUBG looks better than StarFailed.
BTW, what happend to "Starfailed is a GOTY contender"? lmfao poor xFlop fanpig!
