    So, you guys knocked it out of the park on the 44 and now the 52. This boat is beautiful piece of sculpture.

    THE WIRING: To me one of the most impressive things about HH is the design and instalation of the 44 hybrid and now 52 electrical system for accessibility, repairability and long term reliability. Jason and Nikki Wynn filmed a segment at the HH factory for their "Gone with the Wynns" UA-cam channel with interviews of HH commitment to the art of wiring their Hull #3 HH44. Every circuit is beautifully install and labeled and the owner is giving a

      and the owner is given a wiring book identifying the exact location of each circuit and its function. Everything is designed to be accessible for inspection, and ease of test and repair. The Jason filmed electrical access bays are a work of art. Combined with the use of carbon fiber the HH team had set a construction standard that will be hard to match. The boat owner feed back to the HH company is impressive. bequest they trigger design changes. .

    What a shame you guys don't chuck the dirty diesel motor overboard and make this a true Electric vessel.

    This is going to be a truly stunning boat. I'm curious though how close this rendering is going to be to the real boat. The entire support of the coach roof appears to be windows with a thin little blade supporting the roof in a couple local areas then there are two large posts in the back. Even with full carbon fiber construction, I'm curious how this can be the case? Car companies do this all the time with the renderings not quite the same as the real thing though, so that may be a little of what we are seeing here. Love the forward helm version!

    • @sstroh32
      @sstroh32 Рік тому

      This isn’t some artist concept. There is a huge difference between a car concept rendering and a rendering of an under construction yacht with comprehensive plans and drawings, with a build contract requiring the delivery of a yacht that conforms to the design spec within a few kg (fractions of a percent) the design weight.
      I can’t speak to the engineering and we can’t see what’s behind the mullions anyway, but supporting the mass of roof is a pretty simple design issue for M&M. Like you said, it’s carbon and not much mass to worry about. Considering the force that tends to lift and eventually fly the windward hull is transmitted in part through the traveler, those (particularly aft) supports are likely subject to much higher tension from the traveler system than compression from the roof weight. Have faith in M&M, they’ve done this once or twice

    • @kirkb3473
      @kirkb3473 Рік тому

      @@sstroh32 that’s interesting that you know this to be true, because I asked H&H this question directly in Annapolis while looking at the pictures and they were not sure and said they would need to get back to me, I’ll let you know what they say. I do hope this is the design as it’s pretty awesome if it’s technically possible! It’s the shock loads that the entire structure would see in heavy weather sailing that makes me curious.

    • @sstroh32
      @sstroh32 Рік тому

      @@kirkb3473 I'm not to argue with you about whether the supports for the roof are sufficiently strong to hold it up. I should have known better than to try to explain in the first place. However, if you truly had the conversation you describe during the Annapolis show, then I encourage send an email or a call and describe your experiences, as I'm sure they would appreciate it.

      @@sstroh32 the conversation was directly with the President of HH who is a great guy and extremely knowledgeable about sailing and performance cats. He’s got my email and we’ve chatted often in the past and was great to catch up with him at the show. I’ve got zero doubt the finished product will be bulletproof, HH builds incredible catamarans.

      @@sstroh32 Hi Scott, this is Seth, President of HH. These renders are taken directly from the design files as Kirk states, so the final product will be EXACTLY like what you see here. She's going to be a stunner! Thanks for watching.
