Those amps are much more versatile than most want to believe. Classic rock to balls out metal. Are you micing cab or running through cab sims?

Am using impulse responses. I amped cabs for a long time but a while back it reached a point where I just couldn't tell the difference, so I switched to IRs. They also have the advantage of being able to completely change the sound at mix time.
