In india with $100, you and your 15 friends can have 1 beer bottle each and after drinking beer you'll go for a dinner in a restaurant and still you'll have few bucks left. But that's not same every time, it depends on what you are ordering (although most of the menu items will come in this price). the varieties in food are endless in India. Some menu items in restaurants are way more expensive.
First thing is, the same City have the India's richest person living as well as the poorest.. so you may spend £2000/day on food or may be less than £1/day for food. Depends on you what you want.. So we get lots of options for sure 😃

I grew up in Mumbai. A suburb called Borivali has some really awesome street food to offer. If you are interested in visiting Mumbai I'd recommend staying at ESKAY resort in Borivali. The concierge will certainly help organise a tour of the city.
